| For what this ended up going for, the ending was fair. Hardly the greatest story ever told, but competent enough to accomplish what it was aiming for. As far as its censorship goes, I suspect it has more to do with what it says about the Gulf War than anything else. Letting it go uncensored would have been the equivalent of an anime going "9/11 was an inside job here's why" in 2004. |

You all are spoiled, expect some Akria shit from everything, god I hope you don't expect so much out of your partners. The Anime was good up until episode 6 when the production halted on and off, losing its art director in the process. Other then that I think the cyborg stuff was a fitting, dramatic ending, its not like it wasn't foreshadowed in the beginning, ya'll act like they slapped it in last second, none of it is new, nothing at all is new in that episode that wasn't foreshadowed ahead of claw. |

| I was in the mood for some violent OVA, but sheesh, this only got worse and worse. Still enjoyable and the dub made it even funnier. The characters only spammed corny one liners, lol. "If this is justice then I'm a banana" My fucking aim/10 |

I think most people now need instant gratification and it's kinda lame. but you're definitely entitled to your own opinion. Saying all that is like saying people nowadays can't appreciate chargeman ken cause of misplaced modern sensibilities, its just a very funny trainwreck |

Sooner or later your gonads are going to be on the anvil. She fires a missile with many machine guns inside. He desires to die in the name of justice. He claims that being shot in the head would cause his armor to explode and end the enemy. There is no armor on his head. Why would this happen? It worked I guess. 2 the only victims were truth, freedom, and justice. The best part of the show is the Evangelion sound. |
| Kinda based lol Naive geopolitical musings aside, the show is indeed a mishmash of things popular in action and sci-fi genres by the end of 80s and that gives it some charm but also cheesiness at the same time. Though it's not that bad as that Hitler-something user stated above as he tried to rationalize his frustration with the show's baseness ;) Character development in the show was awkward, overall continuity between OVAs was inconsistent. I heard it was in development hell in the second half and it shows. Some great animation nevertheless. Last Ep was weakest in all aspects, first half of the show had higher quality in general. I don't know if anyone noticed, but S.S.F. termination plot in Ep2 (or was it Ep3?) was later used as an inspiration for GitS SAC 1st season finale, with a lot of similarities even on a visual level (helicopters for example). To be fair SAC played it very differently. Funny how SAC's 2nd season was also politically charged and quite anti-American too. Kamiyama secret fan lol? |
