the anime isn't good, it's not because of anything "woke" though, it's just not well written nor does it feel like the writers had a grasp on what they wanted or on the characters in general

Bro did you not see episode 5, i mean the show was pretty decent before that (at least higher quality than most anime releasing right now) but episode 5 took a HUGE drop in quality

I think the reason most people are overreacting to this is because they’re afraid all the rest of the episodes are going to have the same steep drop in quality, which isn’t necessarily gonna be true, but people are assuming so

I had pretty high hopes for this show, and I sincerely hope the rest of the episodes are of the same quality as the first 4

Cause I have seen many shows that have that, and this certainly has not been one of them.

like if anything this has the most none-diverse possible cast. Out of the main charcters all of them are just white people, except two of them, one of which is amanda who has been black in every single version of her ever.

the other is dead shot, who has also been black at least in most versions of him.

there is also katana who is japanese, but i don't think i need to explain why you would be a dumbass to think KATANA being japanese is for diversity.
