It's over bros. No more Kumiko from now on. I am not sure how to cope. Thank you KyoAni for this.

What a ride it has been. This season easily cemented Kumiko's place as one of the greatest characters in Anime. I will miss Kumiko.

@LosTakeover I hope we do get some sort of spin off based on Hibike. Maybe something based on Kanade's last year.

Kanade grew on me like crazy, she's such a sweetheart especially towards the last few episodes. I didn't have any critiques about the final episode except for one, and it was just me wanting a little moment at the end where Kumiko and Kanade have a talk just like the end of season 2 with Kumiko and Asuka. But yeah, I'd also love a spin off of Kanade as well or of even Kumiko-sensei lol. This season was phenomenal regardless.

maybe the real kumiko is the friends we made along the way...

seriously, she'll always be just a little real to me. i like to think she's off in uji somewhere even now, teaching band and making little kumikos with shuuichi.

I cried when Kumiko started reminiscing about her time with the band. It has been an almost a decade journey for me since I watched the first season in 2015.

YaY! The series has finally reached its end! I'm so glad they finally achieved gold at the Nationals! They all deserved it! 🫶🏻✨ I wish Asuka could have seen the performance live, but I guess she's not with Haruka and Kaori...

Nonetheless, this has been a fun and emotional ride, for sure. I don't know about you guys, but for me personally, this series is a masterpiece. It somehow resonates with me even though I am not a part of an ensemble whatsoever, and that speaks for itself. What got through to me was the journey Kumiko had along with her friends, senpais, and other club members, bound by a common interest, which is music. I somehow feel that my current journey in college (I know it is not the same since they are in their high school days in the series, but that's besides the point), especially in our society (it's just like a club but different) will be just like Kumiko's journey, forging bonds with my senpais and learning from them, meeting wonderful underclassmen over the course, and hopefully when I get to my third year, I can be a reliable senpai and can lead our society to even greater heights.

I have more things that I want to share, especially the things that I really like about the series, but I think I'll stop here. Sorry for my ranting, haha. This is my first time participating in a discussion😅😅. I just feel like I would pay tribute to one of my favorite series as it reaches its end by participating in one of the discussions with it...

@Ryu_Heddakuri I have nothing to do with music, yet this still spoke to me. I think the concepts the show explores are universal, so lots of us end up learning a thing or two in the end. I'll certainly miss seeing a new episode every week, but I'll surely rewatch the entire series at some point.

And college is a beautiful time, enjoy it!

Can't replace Kumiko but you can always look up other work by the voice actress, Tomoyo Kurosawa. They don't always voice characters the same way but if you want a protag that has a similar personality and more-or-less the same voice acting style applied then you can give Skip to Loafer a shot.

I did the same thing after watching Toradora and becoming enamored with Rie Kugimiya's Taiga Aisaka. Went and watched all her famous tsundere roles. Did the same with a few other va's.

May this show be remembered and celebrated for years to come, and may it inspire more anime like it.

@SUPER_CANNES Yes, it is quite universal, but the way this series dives into Kumiko's journey from her first year through her third year, meeting new people and saying goodbye to her senpais every year, there's not much series that delve into this, at least not in the ones that I watch.

And yes, I will make my college life a memorable one 🤗🤗.

Great show, great animation.

Kyoani my love you always deliver.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

@cythraul she and her other hidden eyes friend are so OP they made into the team without any criticisms or drama. She also started the final performance without needing an arc to get into that stage.

Spinoff should be named "I am a high school Clarinetist who is a NPC in my ensemble but maybe I am too overpowered?!"

Anyone know what the contents for the extra episodes are gonna be like (w/o giving away spoilers hehe). Like I hope they show content post-competition. I want to see Kumiko and the gang have their farewell party and graduation. As well as Kanade saying her goodbyes to Kumiko. And Shuuichi's confession, of course.

@deimos96 Included with the Blu-rays. I think just shorts that would be under 5 minutes each, previous seasons also had 6 shorts that were 2-3 minutes each.

Here's PV of part of extra episode 1:

@watsym Kinda looks like a Visual Novel. Either way I'll be glad to gobble up any Hibike content :). I do kinda hope they animate Kumiko and Shuuichi's confession, even in this format.
