Season 1 being my favorite part of Oregairu really sums up just how I feel about this season honestly. I didn't mind the transition to high school love triangle drama in the second season cause I genuinely thought they did it pretty well. I was actually invested and looked forward every week to it but this season I just felt bored as fuck watching it lol. We get like one decent scene every episode and the rest is padded out with all the prom bs. Minor characters that seemed really important, interesting and had a lot of potential from season 2 were forgotten for some reason and ended up being mere plot devices. It's not even me being salty that my favorite ship sunk or whatever cause I was rooting for Yukino right from the start lol. I just thought this season was a snorefest to put it quite plainly.

With that said, I really did like how the main trio's relationship ended with all three of them finding something genuine and being honest with their feelings after beating around the bush for three whole seasons. That's why I disagree with all the criticisms about the show being unnecessarily vague for the sake of drama saying things could've been resolved faster if they just said what's on their mind because the whole point is that they can't do that. They're all terrible at communicating their feelings either cause it's just how they are as a person, being satisfied with the status quo or simply because they don't wanna hurt each other. That's why the realization at the end is important. They clearly knew what had to be done but none of them had the guts to actually do it. Some characters might not be relatable to you and that's totally fine. You don't always have to agree with their decisions lol.

Worst part about shows like this is that people can never be rational with the ending cause their judgment is too clouded by salt but even then, if you thought any other girl had a chance then I got news for you lol. The story was setup so obviously since season one. Yukino was clearly the only one who could see Hachiman eye-to-eye. The only other person who could match his pace somehow was Iroha and she got sidelined hard this season soooo..... Is it predictable? Yes. Does it mean it's bad? Not necessarily but I do sympathize with y'all. I've had my fair share of ships getting sunk as well rofl but anyways, this season had its moments but overall, my opinion isn't that high. It's not bad cause it's pretentious or whatever shit people say about Oregairu lol, it's bad cause I nearly fell asleep watching it.

A good and satifying end to an overall average and somewhat excessively philosophical show.
The way it further projected the romcom tropes was quite engaging, indeed, but it all became too contrived and unrelatable which isn't very good for a rom-com.
The themes it explored were interesting, but in the end, those overly complicated confabulations were a let down for me.
The characters were nicely nuanced but there was absolutely no need for them to be 4 layered.
It wasnt necessarily bad or anything,it just wasnt great,i found it OK.
It is not even close to being called the best or peak romcom.

This was a very satisfying love story! It's been a long time since I've seen one. However, what I particularly appreciated about this story was that love was portrayed as a fragile thing. Not always, but often, couples are presented as unbreakable. It gives you a comforting feeling of safety, but it's not real. As my brother used to say: "Real life starts after the fairy tale ends."

This anime is different, though. You can see that the relationship between Hachiman and Yukino is dynamic and under construction. Genuine feelings are there, yet there is no guarantee they will survive. The relationship is under the pair's care. They have to continue developing it and protect it from possible harm on their own. There is no invisible force that keeps it safe. I believe this is much closer to reality. Love is a living thing that needs to be nurtured every day and must be tirelessly protected from external interferences (voluntary or involuntary), envy, and, most of all, our own selfishness and weaknesses.

Last but not least, I was impressed by Yui.
I was left in awe! She gives testimony of a new kind of heroism that I sincerely worship! She shows what overpassing one's limit means!
"The me today will not ever make the future me to regret!"

Almost 10 years later since the franchise began, and I just now finished the final season lol. Took me 2 years because of ADHD , life, and so many othe anime, I forgot about ths show lol. Plus since season 2 it just hasnt had the same edge it once did. The whole thing quickly got watered down, and boring, and unfulfilling as can be. I hate when thath happens to an anime. So many great shows dont even get the chance for an OVA LET ALONE 3 seasons. and the 3rd one was pretty much all dedicated to a prom...ugh. I hate when things are needlessly dragged out. 5.5 for this season, and 6.5/10 for the whole franichise since i liked Hachiman. He was cool enough. :P

This anime was a 10/10 for me. I am incredibly grateful to have been able to watch and see this anime and write a review for it. The anime itself was very educational and inspiring for me because when I started watching I had a huge sense of deja vu. After I started watching the second season, I realized that not only Hikigaya's school life, but also his personality is the same as mine (except for the club, Totsuka parts, etc.). So I became even more curious about the ending, and here I am. And I have to say, I'm glad it turned out so amazing. I did it as a boy, which was pretty embarrassing, but I was the only one who saw myself that way, at least. I read a lot of negative comments which surprised me. Some people wrote that they were completely overwhelmed by Yukino's "weakness" and that they kept crying over everything. Well, if one thinks a little more about the story and sees some things through, one knows what happened and why. I'm glad that Ebina's kinky personality was toned down, just as Totsuba's parts were roughed up. What I really regret is that very little attention was paid to Saki as a character, because to me she was a very likable person who kept her distance, but her personality made me pay more attention to her, because she helped her younger brother and her parents during illegal work, she supported Yukino and Hikki with the ball, and it is there in the good work of others. The other thing I still regret is that we couldn't get to know Hayato's personality and past better, although one or two things can still be teased, but I think this is very little. I really hope that the author will change his mind and release another light novel so that we can get a fourth season where we can get an insight into the background of Hikigaya, Yukina, Yui and it would be nice to get to know Saki too. and Hayato better have the anime already. It would also be nice to see how Yukino's family reacts to their daughter's relationship with Hikigaya and bring back Shizuka sensei for a few scenes like what happened before (and that she is still single and hopes Hikki will marry her).
So I say that I'm glad again to meet the characters of this anime that are very close to my heart, Hikigaya as my artificial self Yukino, Yui, Saki, Hayato, Komachi, Isshiki, Shizuka sensei and the other characters.

Amazing show made of P A I N. I admit 8man x yuki are great, this won't relieve the mourning for Yui. I am glad she at least finally spoke openly to them in the reborn club. They have her blessing but in exchange they will help them to cope with her feelings, while preserving the friendship. Very deep moments, even if sometimes a bit criptical. I haven't seen such a compelling romance in a while. I will have to cope myself as well for having "yahallost" 9/10.

damn, so it finally ended.
I binged the whole three seasons in one day, simply because it was the best anime I've seen up until now.
I congratulate the author, as much as I know myself, I never got so emotional before. I can't express how sad I am now that it ended. I am literally on the verge of crying yet I can't and I am also trembling alot. This will give me PAD for a while.
It was better than my favorite romance anime Nisekoi.
Amazing work, I hope I can find a way to cure my depression, I feel like dying.
I really liked how the ending was, the best way to end it in my opinion. I feel sorry for yui but it is great to see that the author made it so that they still continue to be friends after that. Very rare to see these days, these types of masterpiece animes. I also just watched all the ops and eds, I can't believe that I skipped them when they were as great as the anime was. My bad. I actually hated that this was a anime supposedly focused on "romance", which was actually somewhat true, but ironically we just got 2 eps of yukino, that's something I disliked alot.

The anime itself felt very very premium to watch.

The reason why this romance anime was so different from other romance animes is mostly not because it's original but because the plot is. And the romance is also very very unique.
in today's romance anime's you see a sweet girl being nice with a guy or the guy being nice to a girl and getting her or whatever.
In this anime, it feels very realistic because the guy is a loner and has no interest in any girl since she was shot down a few times by the girls she asked out, then we got yukinon who didn't like him at first because he was "bad"? I don't know.
But this kind of romance is very realistic, as you mostly never get the girls or the boys irl, let alone a loner. The anime itself is actually very realistic, that's why I also won't find any other anime like this ever again.

Anyways...

10/10 for all three seasons, my current top favorite anime. The best MC and also the most relatable subjectively. The story and the plot was a masterpiece. Truly the best romance anime I've ever watched. I once again thank the author. Thought I wanted to see more of their daily lifes after 8man got himself yukino as his girlfriend. I will make sure to never forget this masterpiece.

I can't really think of anything else because of the impact the anime made.
If anyone has any good anime like this, please quote me! I really need one.
Farewell, Oregairu. It was the best experience, yet the most painful one. Just like a beautiful lie. Truly a fantastic journey. As hachiman said:

"All good things must come to an end."

I think I'll need to return to this one. Somehow I mistakenly thought this was the first season, only to find out about halfway in that it's actually the 3rd. As a result I think I'm missing a lot of the subtleties of the character interactions.  So without that part the story just never seemed to get started for me. However, I did feel the significance of Yukino's profession to  Hachiman near the end. Despite missing a lot of the details, I still felt myself cheering for this couple. This gives me hope that watching S1-2 will elevate the series for me.

I watch the 1st season during my 3rd year on high school and watching hachiman and yukino grow up while i grow up make this series feel so relatable and i feels immerse with oregairu, also i learn a lot from Hachiman, his way of thinking and how he approach problem inspire me during my high school years lol.
For me oregairu is the best anime, this is the only anime that could make me feel empty after finish the entire series even when i rewatch this anime again after finish it again i still got the post anime depression syndrome, i cry, i feel empty and kinda depressed so i let the emotion sink in, it hurts but also happy watching hachiman and yukino journey. They finally could bcm couple and could overcome their weaknesses
Btw, im really glad hachiman end up with yukino if he end up with yui i would be more depressed i bet

Finally, i just want to say thank you wataru watari sensei for creating this masterpiece, u succeed making me feel immerse with oregairu world especially with hachiman and yukino and make me feel so many emotions watching oregairu

Ok, there are some problems with this season, more specifically there's just too much Irohas in it, can't really handle that, and this entire prom plot dragged the whole story to the point I started to hate the idea of a prom, lame plot point ngl. Nonetheless, I have to say the bridge scene on episode 11 was peak romance to me, and how they wrapped everthing up made me really happy about the series. Although I'd probably give the whole season a 4~5/10, the conclusion of this story made me realize a 6/10 is a fair score. Anyway, I really liked Oregairu as a whole, and even tho I think 2nd season was the peak of the series, I think I can safely affirm that the bridge scene is one of my favourite scenes ever. Happy I finally watched this.

Everything felt a TAD bit rushed, but all in all it was wrapped up nicely. All I cared for was a good Yui send-off, and we got that. Heck you can't even really call it a send-off, it looks like she's here to stay as a close friend of Hachiman and Yukino forever. Although that conversation they are about to get into at the end has to be at least a LITTLE awkward, right?

Good show, enjoyed the re-watch, significantly more than the first time where I almost hated it actually for being what I thought was really cringe and over-dramatic. But no, this is actually good. Far more substance here than in your typical high school rom com. Leagues more. I still have a few more questions, but I honestly don't know how exactly to ask them, and at this point I'm not going to bother. I get the gist of everything anyway. It's a quest to find what is genuine, and I guess it's not as simple as it sounds- or these characters are just over-complicating it. Who knows. It's almost 5am, I'm gonna go to sleep.

I stopped watching season 2 when it was airing so I can watch it in one go but I ended up completely forgetting about it. I randomly had the urge to catch up and watched all seasons in one day lol. Honestly didnt know this was the final season. There are not that many anime adaptations of light novels that gets a conclusive ending. So happy with our boy's character development. I wasnt really able to relate to many of the drama in the show, it kinda felt a bit overdramatic sometimes, or maybe Im just too old for highschool anime now. But still, overall, Im satisfied with the development. The confession scene was also memorable, perfectly fits out MCs personality.

i felt completely satisfed and really happy at the end of this episode. it's been like 5 mins since i finished the ep and i'm still smiling while typing this out.

hachiman's character development was a treat to see. at the end it was really great to see the person he has become without losing what made him himself.

this whole anime was to be honest really fucking confusing but somehow the last two episodes of this series have been the easiest to understand and i really liked that.

oh and did i mention how freaking cute yukino was in this episode? cho kawai fr

the scene with yui and her request was what made me even happier. the three of them have accepted what their current standing is and will work through it, really loved to see that.

i really felt dread when sensei said goodbye, it made me remember that fuck this was ending. i so want more of this. didn't expect to get attached to this series this much, it's only been 2 days since i started watching this, well finished in 2 days. i really want to see more of hachiman's and yukino's relationshup like in this episode, their little quarrels like husband and wife is so cute to see. plus now komachi's in the school too, there would be so much more fun with her involved too.

btw iroha's suggestion to yui during the event about getting hachiman was evil af lmao. pretty sure she was joking but the way she says it though lmao.

oh and yeah hiratsuka sense's the best sensei i've seen in anime, i don't even remember sensei's that great in animes. she played the biggest role in the growth of hachiman, haruno played a big role too, wish they showed a little bit of her and her reaction to the news of yukino and hachiman getting together. also the fact that hachiman was called to dinner at yukino's home means a pretty big deal, right? it's like he has been accepted by her mother which is no mean feat.

the ily part really made me giggle with happiness, i rewatched and my reaction was same. man i want to see more of their chemistry together, more of them growing closer and moving up in their relationship, i want to see them getting married, i mean they already act like a married couple but still, i really want to watch all of that but that's way too much to ask, i'll just imagine it myself.

also watching hachiman act all blushy and lovey-dovey is such a treat.

oh and btw i've really cut down on writing essays after finishing animes so the fact that oregairu made me do it again means a lot. it's just that special to me. guess i'll add this season to my top 10.

and i should mention this, shoutout to the reddit users who commented on the r/anime ep discussion of these episodes, really helped me a lot in understanding. finding answers here is just too much work. i'm only able to appreciate this series this much because of the anime explanations i got from reddit.

rewatched the final moments again and it made me feel like crying. something really good has come to an end. animes which made me feel like this are just getting rarer and rarer, i wonder which anime next will make me feel like this again.

I was team Yukino but halfway through the series I started to root for Yui with how much screentime she got. I guess they wanted to please both sides of the fanbase. I still feel that it should've been a YuiX8man ending even though the conclusion of the series was satisfying enough.

Sensei wasn't forgotten :D
If only the 10yrs difference didn't matter.

Now I feel so empty inside.

I would love to see some alternate routes next, if ever.

I think that the ending was perfect as despite yui having feelings for hikigaya, yui was able to promise Yukino that she was her bestfriend and would like to stay as friends forever. As for Hiratsuka, emphasizing the importance and her role to play in this entire development, her affection and care for hikigaya. The gathering of Hayama and his group as well as characters like Totsuka saika, kawasaki saki and Isshiki iroha also shows how fr Hachiman has improved as a person. The ending also gave me the pet of sakurasou vibes, preventing the removal of the service club just like preventing the removal of sakura hall. Overall, this anime has been extremely fun to watch and as a lover of romance comedy genre anime, would say that this show can tug your heartstrings in many ways allowing you to experience different emotions, definitely a top tier rom com anime for me. Top 3 for me.

Pretty wholesome last episode, the callbacks were pretty funny and them re-opening the club was a nice touch. Yukino got the courage to say "I love you" at loud and Yui even got the chance to confess in the end.

Yeah, still have very mixed feelings about this. My opinions after the last episode are pretty much the same. Yui didn't really get her moment. She basically just acts like everything was back to normal despite not having a proper conversation about her and Hachiman's relationship. The author tries to save this at the very end by having her finally come forth and be pretty honest about her feelings. So they are finally going to talk about it, but it's offscreen...

Yukino says I love you which is nice, but our dumbass still can't muster up the courage to actually express his emotions and instead jokingly laments about how he's going to have to say something now and that it's sooo much pressure (ya okay mr genuine).

For how much of the conflict revolved around Yukino's family and her childhood up to this point, I think this series was seriously lacking context around that whole situation. Whether it be some amount of flashbacks or just literally any amount of Yukino monologues, I'd say it was detrimental to myself being invested in this relationship. Instead it's extremely vague, like significant portion of the dialogue in this series, with asshole boomers who don't like highschoolers having fun/parents neglecting Yukino, or something like that, growing up.

And don't even get me started on Haruno. Truly one of the most insufferable characters I've ever had the displeasure of watching in just about every single one of her onscreen moments. And the worse part is she remained a miserable bitch right till the end. I think at points the mom was made out to be more of a villain, though admittedly not as much as one might expect when first being properly introduced to her character, and that Haruno might do something really wholesome to support Yukino against her mother, but the mother was far more supportive. Haruno you need a fucking life. Stop antagonizing highschoolers you loser.

This season was a lot more drama focused and not as much on the comedy. I really didn't like the first half of the season but it slowly picked up near the end.

I laughed at Yui's cucked smile at the end. I wasn't rooting for her but still feelsbadman.

But what is this ending? this feels like a season finale, not an end to the entire play.

Oregairu was a beautiful story of youthful love, but if you're going to close me off to the characters like that, nothing was better.
Yes, it was very nice to put the first OP in the background at the end, but that doesn't mean that the ending was garbage.

Oregairu had a lot of potential, but in the end it ended up being another romcom that didn't dare to go further.

A disappointment really...
