Fate encounters Myne, that girl strange girl from one of the previous episodes this episode. It's too about the village though...seems monsters these days in their world have no mercy.

I do think Fate is a bit trustworthy towards strangers though. Myne also seems kinda aloof but could prove to be a valuable ally.

Myne has obtained a rather impressive weapon. I'm looking forward to witnessing the abilities of the other Deadly Sin skill wielders.

Fate regains strength and unleashes the power of Greed's transformed state against the gargoyles. As he leaves destruction in his wake, Fate faces a completely new challenge upon reuniting with Myne, the enigmatic Galian from earlier.

Karma can be quite unforgiving. The villagers attempted to offer up Fate as a sacrifice, and now they've become prey for the gargoyles. On the bright side, Fate now possesses fire resistance and mastery over fire magic. He's even reconciled with his former tormentor. It's unfortunate that all of this came at the price of the entire village going up in flames.

It's no shocker that jerk Randolph went searching for him. I'm definitely relieved that Myne sent him packing.

Myne finally here, of course she appeared shortly before but good to see her for almost the full episode. She's quite funny, the way she was upset Fate killed her reward and immediately stealing the money, expected her being more serious. Also she's pretty hot.

I know Myne is strong, but damn having a holy Knight being that weak is pathetic for the town.

Fate very easily dealt with those flying monster attacking his hometown. Despite being drugged by that idiot old man his friend helped get Fate back awake and fighting. Now that him and Greed have worked together a lot these fights are becoming easier. Even with huge flying monsters that shoot fireballs it's no problem for Fate since he can switch the sword to a bow or a scythe. Using the latter to send some wild attacks at the flying monsters taking them all out. Only a few villagers survived but at least Fate friend did and his daughter, they can start anew somewhere better. Fate going off to still try and catch up with Roxy party. Hitching a ride in the back of this guys cart, offering protecting on the road along with payment for the ride. Fate getting to meet the Galia girl he ran into while working for Roxy a few episodes ago. She's got a huge axe that's being carried like its nothing. Turns out this is a similar type weapon to Greed. A mortal sins weapon, along with this girl Myne having a similar sloth skill to Fate gluttony skill. Lots of lore this episode with this girl Myne tagging along. Fate dealing with that sand golem was awesome to see. The fights in this show don't look the best but they're still interesting with Fate being a badass. Myne wasn't too happy about missing out on the reward but knocking that arrogant holy knight into the sky should've made her feel better. Time to get out of town once again.

Yes, finally we got to see the other deadly sin skills/weapons. Now there are 4 out of 7 deadly sin skills/weapons - Gluttony/Greed, Wrath/Sloth. Remaining Pride, Lust and Envy are left to.

Now Fate/Corpse's team has 4 deadly sins making their team even more unstoppable and op.

the two most satisfying things from this episode:
1. death of Set's father (that stinky ahh old asshole)
2. 20% Fireball Bloody Ptarmigan (dudeeeeee that was sooo satisfying. like when Fate used the fireball skill with the normal arrows of Greed's Stage 1, i was screaming in my mind "PLEASE USE IT FOR BLOODY PTARMIGAN" and he did! that was delightful!!)
also i hope he got a net stat increase from the 20% sacrifice after defeating the sand golem.
GREAT EPISODE overall, am excited to see the relationship between Fate and Myne develop lmao.
Also since I'm kind of a OP mc fan, i hope the yet-to-be-introduced Deadly Sins weapons and skills users aren't more powerful than Fate.
Also is the drawback of Myne's Wrath skill making her fall asleep? That's just my speculation ig ill have to wait for the next episode

when Fate is Wondering about the marks and Greed says it's probably a caste system... doesn't that highlight that Greed can also hear fate? but fate continues to speak aloud to Greed and greed even says people will think you are talking to yourself. How can they still not stop referencing this dumb concept? it's fine like twice, but after that, come on! it's been like 3/4 episodes of this.

that aside, the fact that the guy who drugged him didn't get to see how skilled fate was seems like a huge missed opportunity. like let him see fate one shooting this things, then let him get eaten.

scythes like just awful as weapons. reaping stationary wheat doesn't look the same for trying to attack mobile enemies. but I guess it's nice that he can throw it and it can maneuver in air to hit targets making the bow kind of redundant... why didn't they use the bow for this fight? and why did the boss gargoyle come in close for a fireball attack. it reminds me of so many shows where someone has a fire arm and approaches their target as the fire. like, do you even understand the benefits of your weapon?

Anyway, interested if having 4 sins around can make things interesting without being any sillier. we'll see!

I can't believe the house they're in was still intact... lmao

Oh, nice. Myne is rather interesting. IAKOW 😏

The narcissistic Knight earlier is cringe.

Myne again... >_< please be mine. lol

Oh, great. The narcissistic knight is also that kind of knight...

The hardships of Fate while hunting were agonizing.

Oh, Fate. You're not OP but your weapon is one.

Nice, Fate. You got lucky and have seen the naked Myne all to yourself... (Myne is older than Fate? huh...)

Myne pouting was great!

Myne hitting the home run was greater!

Interesting developments. owo

P.S. I need my daily Roxy.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

For some reason I like this more than most of the seris that are currently airing. It's just shit and enjoyable at the same time. Fate's character and skills (+ Greed) are just way too good to miss. Animation is decent, but it does what it needs to. The fireball + 20% BP looked insanely dope. And it seems like we got another fun character added to the list aka Myne. Can't wait to see how he'll be helping Roxy in the future. For now, he must flee from the town because of what Myn did to that bastard lol. Yk what would be fun, if Greed interacted with Sloth.

Not gonna lie, when I first saw the opening scene with all the flying gargoyles, for a second I thought I clicked on the wrong series and was watching Ragna Crimson.

The lack of logic in this series is baffling. The gargoyles are attacking the village, but somehow Set finds time to concoct an antidote? Is there some explanation why the gargoyles didn't burn his house down like they did the rest, or is it simply plot armor? Like I said, in the manga adaptation, the whole sleeping pill thing never happened, but I supposed the anime director looked at it and realized he needed to explain why Fate wasn't able to protect the whole village when he's so overpowered, and inevitably the improvisation still had holes. Such as Set's dad drugging Fate and doing absolutely f all after he's asleep. Also, what does he mean by sacrifice? He's gonna offer Fate to the gargoyles so that they wouldn't attack the village or something? Does he seriously think that will work? Of course not, because other than the throwaway line, he never actually drugged Fate in the original. At least he didn't die offscreen, and it was satisfying to see him get bitten in half. Heh.

Also, Greed: "They'll be troublesome if they attack from above!"
Fate promptly uses a scythe instead of shooting them down with a bow. Like, gosh, I know the author wants to show off what the new version can do, but...make it less silly and illogical, please.

Randolph also makes no sense. He kills some guy because he...didn't perform convincingly as a monster? What? Then some random Corpse guy comes in and slaughters the sand golems that even he can't beat, and he thinks he can saunter in and threaten this guy to become his subordinate when the whole reason why he wants to recruit the guy is because he's strong (stronger than even you, definitely stronger than your henchmen)? Look, I know he's an antagonist and the author wants to show how evil he is for the sake of it, but he doesn't come across as evil. He comes across as incompetent and comical, and it's a wonder the city hasn't collapsed under his reign.

Myne too. Takes Fate's three gold coins because she's the one who saved the carriage dude from the bandits, but when Fate kills the sand golems, he promises to give half of the reward to her? How is that fair?

Isn't Fate's intention to meet up with Roxy and watch over her or something? She's coming to this city, but before she arrives, he runs away because Myne sent Randolph flying? So what's gonna happen with that plan now?

That is what this show is about. It's plain dumb, even for braindead-shounen standards.

Last episode, I thought, going really dark might be a way to make this at least somewhat interesting. Now, I don't see any way for this mess to get taken seriously ever again. It's become soo bad. However, after the end of this episode, I see another way out. They should just stick to silly comedy and forget about the rest.

@Dickegrobe Their comedy isn't even funny, unfortunately. I dunno, but I think I should just stick to Ragna Crimson and Goblin Slayer. I dunno about calling them masterpieces, but at least the characters don't behave like braindead morons. Goblin Slayer, in particular, seems to have more thought put into it, and has fun with the Dungeons and Dragons trope even after the initial shock factor is over. Boushoku no Berserk feels like it was written by an edgy 14-year-old.

So Fate was drugged so that he could be offered as a sacrifice, what an idiotic village chief (glad he's dead). At least the son quickly made an antidote and Fate was able to beat the monsters attacking the village.

I remember briefly seeing Myne in an earlier episode where Fate killed a bunch of kobolds near Roxy's family fields. Myne seems to have similar abilities like Fate and also has a weapon like Greed but it's called Sloth. I like Myne and her personality and I think her and Fate would make a good fighting team but Roxy is #1.

I see a few comments saying Myne is better than Roxxy and wishing that Fate would leave Roxxy and go for Myne instead. Well, I have bad news for you.

1. Myne has no romantic interest in Fate, and pretty much becomes his older sister.
2. Fate is only in love with Roxxy, and that will never change throughout the series. Got to give props to him for his loyalty, and Myne deserves a better guy anyhow.
3. Sometime later in the series (chapter 100 of the webnovel?),

Fate's encounter with Myne takes an unexpected turn after he saves his childhood friend. However, the truly intriguing part is that he has yet to unfold the story behind her. 🤔 It seems we'll need to be a little patient for the story to unravel.
Myne is a twisted character, not only due to her connection with Fate (we don't know how) but also because they share a similar weapon. Their meeting opens the gate of speculation, hinting at a deeper connection between them.
Greed, the enigmatic sword, finally breaks its silence and shares some of his past with Fate, shedding light on the Sinful Weapons and the God system. It becomes apparent that the 'Holy' Knights may not be as virtuous as they appear. The story takes a twisted turn, showing the possibility of tragic outcomes for our main characters. Fate and Myne, both harboring the potential for destruction through their Gluttony skills, face death.
As the plot develops, it becomes evident that self-control will be a crucial factor in determining the characters' destinies. The balance between power, will, and choice keeps us on the edge of our seats, eager to see how they navigate the challenges that lie ahead.

@traed Disappointingly enough, nothing much. She just gets angry, and it becomes a running gag - Greed often warns Fate not to piss her off, but when he does make her angry later, nothing of consequence happens, and she promptly forgives him shortly after that.

Set managing to awaken Fate through antidotes, unfortunately, the gargyoles have already started the waste of the village, and no matter how Fate makes no light of eradicating all monsters, the village is done for, and both Set and his daughter must find new lands to live in, but not before having his karma from him, to settle their grievances once and for all. As much as he doesn't want to leave the village, Fate's memories of his father will not be forgotten. Though Fate and his companion are about to get robbed from bandits, the same Galian girl comes to save them with her Sloth Weapon of Mortal Sin: Myne of Wrath.

Turns out, both Fate and Myne reached Lanchester earlier than Roxy and the royal knights, and that features a caste system with people marked with different symbols as Rudolph is a show-off. As expected, the 7 Deadly Sins inspiration on this, with Fate's Gluttony being the strongest, they all have a price to pay in exchange for power. Fate practicing the Skills of Mortal Sin with sandmen monsters to try and control his skills, that would serve as a good appetizer for his Gluttony on the Eyes of the Sandstorm sandman golem.

Sure, Fate defeated the Sand Golem, though Ruldoph hilariously got his karma from Myne, prompting their escape.

YO...

He got a Bow... with homing...

Why did Greed suggest a Scythe? LOL

But I guess the Scythe also has a homing? HUH?... this is not a melee weapon anymore huh...

.

LOL, Fate forgot he got the Stat increase and accidently punches too hard, hey, at least the dude's head is still there... considering Fate's stat increase he got from the Gargoyle boss combined with his strength boost skill... LOL

.

And then the Axe girl appeared again, lol, she reminds me of a character in Monster Hunters with her white hair, tanned skin and outfit.

And she's Wrath + Sloth huh...

Also, is every 7 sin going to be Hungry all the time? LOL... you would think it'll just be Gluttony...

.

BTW... I thought Galia was suppose to be an extremely dangerous place where Roxy's dad died? so... why does it look like any other town with ppls running around happily...

And same as other town... the Holy Knights are also corrupt. At this point, the King and all Holy Knights but Roxy are corrupt...

.

Then we got that tanned Fan service, NICE.

But now he has to get out of town again... due to the new girl... but doesn't this mean Fate's going to miss Roxy again? Cause didn't they said Roxy was planned to visit the place, as that evil Holy Knight was getting a performance ready for?

So... can we say Fate's getting NTR'd now? lol

Cause the new girl said "He's mine".
