| This anime is dark but that doenst automatically make this a great anime. Bad writing imo. Its a try hard AoT or Vinland Saga. I'll give it one more episode if I should drop this or not. 5/10 |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| A good revenge story is always a decent watch in my book, but I don't think that this one is going to be one of them. Too much shock value wanton violence, hammy villains and not enough time to grow attached to the MC before he becomes a killing machine. I'll give it a couple of more episodes to see if it improves. The character designs are pretty nice tho. |

| Couldn't a better reason for hunting witches be thought of other than "outdated"? It can't be because of fear of them, because it's shown how science in this age has surpassed magic. Heck they even have magic-nullifying technology. So let's kill all the witches because... we need to give our main character a good revenge story? Well I hope we do get an even somewhat good revenge story, and that that this first episode won't be the only interesting one. Maybe there's more to this than meets the eye. For now, gotta watch the next episode at the very least after the cliffhanger of this one. Why's our pen-wielding Adonis being contained like that? And will he be interesting enough of a main character when he so far isn't terribly unique? So far it's just okay. I hope the story will be deeper than it seems. |

| the emotions in this one hit waayyyy harder than what i expected. even though i was spoiled a bit by insta reels, still that open fire scene hit hard af. its absolutely impressive how they managed to make us emotionally connected to the mc in just about 10 minutes. also, spectacular animation coming from WIT |

| Edge times 100 the anime xD A try hard revenge story where it believes we would feel anything about the public humiliation cum execution of one fine lady.. and the trauma our protag lives with after that. But I like how textbook "evil" the humans are in this series, like atleast let her complete those last words lol. This could be dumb, but it would be watchable and fun, just because how over the top it is, I think. Also 10 on 10 to that pink haired girl nailing the imitation of that gay dude. |

It's like entering an argument about Formula 1 or Nascar while saying "But I don't like it when the cars go too fast". Or, well, remove 8 points for that if it makes you feel better, and drop it. The end. I rate it for what it is supposed to offer: if it's meant to be good, but it's bad. Or even if it's meant to be crap and they do a good job at the smell, that is what you should rate. I use common sense, not my expectations. If I were to judge it from my point of view, most animes would be 2/10 max. | @akiraic I didn't say anything about it being edgy or not. I don't mind dumb fun either - I really liked Kung Fury when a mate showed it to me, and I think it's a well done pastiche. I don't agree with people dogpiling on Akame ga Kill - at least when it comes to manga, I think it was pretty good for what it strived to be. But you can't excuse garbage writing with intentional edginess or "dumb fun". The whole point of revenge porn is the catharsis coming from villains suffering consequences for their actions but you need actual characters for that. It doesn't come from watching garbage going down a gutter. |

| Very good start. Ofcourse I dislike that witch being killed as it seems they didn't have any reason for it at all, but the story and animation is good. I read some bad things about that girl, but I hope I will like the story. so far it doesn't look like it should be only rated 6 |
