| Damn this thread has some mixed opinions I read the manga before so yeah... Anime art was a bit of a downgrade unfortunately. It was okay overall. I'm gonna stick around for more episodes. Umehara Yuichirou sounded sexy here as always. |
| Wait wtf I had no idea you were allowed to use your feet in volleyball Could be mid, could end up being downright sh*t, but it also shows signs of being pretty funny, and maybe even a little heart-warming. From first episode impressions, it looks to be a nice warm and cozy show to watch each week this season. If anything, a lot of the fun will come from seeing these pussies lose their minds. Is it kind of weird? Yes, but I'm not about to go on a crusade for it. |

| The opening and ending were... really cute, honestly. Although, it was already concerning from the first second :'D I forgot about Isaku's voice in the trailer but hearing it again now makes me think that it doesn't really fit her... like, Isaku is quite a girly girl, not that she has to have a squeaky voice but I think it could at least be made a little cuter. And Keiya, honestly for me the anime adapts him properly both in appearance and personality because he's bad at both. But at least now he has one plus point in anime, namely a voice that is pleasant to listen to. Although, again... his voice wasn't quite right for him, it was too soft... And... okay I guess I complain too much lol but wtf Luka is so ugly?! I won't forgive those who made him this ugly T___T honestly the OP and ED visuals are much better than the anime itself. Well whatever, I think I'll keep watching this because Umehara Yuuichirou's voice, and I happen to have read the manga up to vol 4 so let's see the next episodes... hopefully it will be better. |

I agree with those girls, Keiya is mighty fine looking. 👀 This anime is NOT for people who: 🙅🏼♀️ get hung up on age gaps 🙅🏼♀️ critically analyze relationships 🙅🏼♀️ do not like red flags in characters If you fall into one of the above categories, do yourself a favor & stop watching this. Don’t put yourself through the pain of watching something you dislike. Watch something else and by happy my friend. ☺️ If red is your favorite color, you have found a good one! I feel like as 🚩 goes, this is far from the worst that I’ve seen. Excited for the rest of the season & have been loving the VAs. ☺️  |

| Isaku doesn't even seem to be even near 18? Age difference isn't a bad thing necessarily, but she looks like a full-on minor in contrast to the adult Keiya. Which is kinda disturbing, especially when I looked at some manga spoilers. Its Japan again with their legal age stemming from prehistoric times, pedo anime. Drop from me. |

| So, I have some thoughts. First of all, I'm not a fan of the art style. It looks comically disproportionate. The only one who does not look weird/ got all focus art and animation wise is Isaku. Second, the age difference thing could have been handled way better. Isaku could have easily be a college aged girl and nothing would have changed. They could have made it a uni setting rather than a highschool one. Does it make it less groom-y? No, but more palatable. I reckon, the author knew what he was doing anyway. Overall, decent enough first episode. I would have not watched it if it came out in the jam packed summer but with my schedule flexible and a yandere lead (lol I'm a sucker for crazies), I'll watch it. In a world full of redo of healers, this is not really as controversial as some folks are making it out to be. |

| This anime sorta reminds me of Higehiro, except that the MC is being overly protective to the main heroine to the point he even had to go along with her in school haha. A 26-year old man going into class was something I didn't expect after I started watching it though. Imo, Project No.9 didn't do too well on the artstyle and lightning this time so it is mediocre at best - but the comedy and the interaction between two main characters can help compensate my disappointment a bit. I should probably stay tuned for the next episode to see how it goes. |

It took me a moment to think about what it reminded me of.
It's basically the parts of Usagi Drop that weren't animated. They skip the wholesome adoptive dad and new daughter stuff and are move straight to the "It's not incest, because they're not related" section that ruined the manga.

| My first new anime of the Fall 2023 season, I sadly had to move it to Friday because my Thursdays are already kinda stacked this season, but I’m glad I managed to fit it on my list and get to it eventually, and this was a really good first episode! I’m no stranger to age gap romance anime, and I know it never hits well with a lot of people, but as someone able to separate fiction from reality I find a lot of enjoyment in it lol. This first episode showcased the unique relationship Isaku and Keiya have, it’s kinda wild honestly because Keiya is like her dad, her weird friend and also her romantic interest lol, but I think it worked, and it definitely has me looking forward to future interactions between them. And wow, here I was thinking I wouldn’t be hearing Masayoshi Oishi for a while since “The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses” ended but I loved hearing him doing the OP for this, I kept going back and forth on whether it was him or not but I can’t mistake that voice, love it. And the ED by Akari Kitou was splendid as well, no song I’ve heard by her has missed and this is one to add to the list. I’ll definitely be checking this show out every week, it’ll also be interesting to what kind of reactions people will have lol. |
| Not sure how I feel about this right now. Art style hmm Isaku's little pouty mouth is cute (or is it supposed to be interpreted her upper lip is small?). But holy shit those eyes in profile wtf why are so many scenes everyone's eyes deformed? Some scenes the eyes have a normal looking curve or bend but others it's like an S shape and looks kind of disturbing to look at. Keiya's overprotectiveness is a bit annoying to me already because he does it in a pretty intrusive way but I guess I will see. I had to laugh a little inside at the one guy having a lip ring attached to an earing with a chain, as if that makes any sense for a guy that is supposed to be a yakuza member unless he just really mild jobs and takes it out when he needs to. | I literally don't understand all the hate this is getting. If you don't like the premise, don't fucking watch it. Its as simple as that. What do you get out of being bitter about something that truly doesn't matter? Also, this is an anime. Its not based off of something irl Anyways, I thought the first episode was really cute. I'm going to love this one! They have a very sweet relationship, and as it currently stands Isaku is the one who has feelings for Keiya and not the other way around. Its a little silly that he was able to enroll without being caught by the students. Who comes up with that?? I'm a big fan of the art style. OP and ED are also really good. I do have to say that its a little disappointing that Keiya is sort of ugly. |

| I don't really know what to think about the first episode but I think I lean more towards "I like it" than "I cringed so hard, it's bad". No, I don't have a problem with the concept itself. Although it has been a while I watched something like this, it's nice to have an anime like this again (aside from Keiya being the ultimate example for a 'I used to love guys like these in anime/mangas/books but now I'm too old for this'-guy). There were still some cute moments between our two main characters. The comedy didn't fully hit me yet but maybe I'll just need some time to warm up more with the characters and the overall setting. But I think I like Isaku, she's adorable and trying her best (plus relatable because I'm socially awkward too and I don't even have an excuse). Personally I feel like it might would have been better to establish the characters a little bit more before jumping into the first conflict (volleyball game). But I don't know the source material since I didn't read the manga. When Isaku called Keiya "old" although he is only 26, a part of me died. But I really wonder how he will manage as a student. I don't mind the age gap but being part of the Yakuza is a little more concerning imo. Overall I think it's too soon to judge this series but I will have to wait and see what the next episode brings. Since I've dropped some animes after one episode that's at least a good sign. |

I enjoyed this episode, and I really want to like this anime since I finally get a blonde shoujo main character, BUT
I can't help but think it would be fun without the romance :/ They have a fun chemistry that still works as him being an older brother or simply a mentor
I really don't mind the age gap trust me, but they make it very clear that he feels like he raised her which makes it very awkward. If they did not march that much on his feelings as her caretaker I maybe could ignore that, but....
