| A lot of Gurren Lagann references in this episode. The final shot of Muta trying to fight his last stand into Mahito was the same shot that Gainax used when Simon drilled the anti spiral in the movie. |

| The first fight is already over between Mechamaru and Mahito, it seemed to be equal near the end, but the latter had some tricks upon his sleeve. Mechamura literally went all out and it was probably also an affect of looking out for Geto that made him lose against Mahito. That dude went through all stages of transformations, shit was nasty LOL. Aside from that, the animation sequence of him running through the forest was incredibly fluid and unique. But, some parts were alright. I did feel like this was some fucking fight scene from Gurren Lagann LOL. |

| This episode felt like a mix of old school mecha (80s), old school battle shounen (Hokuto no Ken and DBZ style static panels), Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, Attack on Titan all together. Crazy. |

| Tbh, given it was on a break, although the combat was great I had no idea what the fuck was going on of the past. Normally when something breaks, Ill rewatch last one to catch up but Thurs is packed with peak anime and I have to goto work tomorrow. So my curent experience was some robot guy fights some other guy with frankstein like experience. Loses. Then tokyo shinjku gets put under massive area. And im still wondering who any of the people are but seeing panda in the eps because hes been in loads of previous eps little synopsis in memory sparked. And then with seconds to spare Gojou steps though the wall. And im like thank fuck, this is Jujustu kaisen and if Gojue here, shit is going to kick off next episode and I dont even need to worry there was a break and I forgot shit or characters because best boy is here to make it all right |

Terrible. No lead in to the beginning of the story. I have no idea what that fight was to accomplish. Then the final 10 minutes was just filler. This is how an anime doesn't meet expectations and ends up with a 5 or 6.

| Just pure cinema, don't know how else to put it. I haven't watched any retro mecha anime like Evangelion or Gurren Lagann, but even I could tell it had that style to it. The dimming didn't really ruin things for me, though I will admit some bits weren't very visible, but that's totally fine. Excited for the start of the Shibuya Incident next week! |

| I sadly expected Mechamaru to lose the fight against Mahito but holy crap was it awesome, lots of amazing visuals throughout the whole fight and of course the fight itself was sick, definitely reminiscent of Evangelion which just adds to the coolness. I really wanted to see Mechamaru win but it was at least satisfying seeing Mahito get his shit rocked lol. Poor Miwa tho, said all that stuff and didn’t even know Mechamaru had already left us (assuming he’s actually dead), it’s also a shame too because he just got his new look only to be done in immediately, he went down swinging tho. And looks like the Shibuya stuff is starting for real now on the best holiday of the year, those folks that got sucked into the void are damn unfortunate but at least Gojo did finally show up for those at the walls, only downside is this is exactly what the villains want. I’m really looking forward to where it goes from here, I’m guessing the sorcerers on standby aren’t gonna be on standby for long lol. And lastly, even after the 2nd listen the ED still destroys the OP, I think it is slowly growing on me tho. |

| Battle was impeccable and really good visually. Just a pity Mechamaru never caused a big impact on me, so I didn't care much about his death. Didn't help it was obvious he was going to lose the fight from the get-go. |

| It's interesting seeing Jujutsu Kaisen become a mecha anime for the better part of this episode, some parts really reminded me of Gurren Lagann. Pretty cool and unique visuals for this series. And now the Shibuya incident officially begins! |
