The Chinese text on the back of the photo is 不能没了好哥哥, which can be translated as I can't stand losing my beloved brother. What does this even mean? Is pink hair Lu Guang's sister?

I think the brother is the one who has the power to possess others, can also call him the red eyes guys. Its likely cause she also has red eyes but thats just my theory

Can anyone explain how is that old man too strong?

If you have watched the special episode 5.5 from season one you'll understand. He is a guy who spend all of his life practising and teaching martial arts or some form can't remember the specific name. And the episode 5.5 was based on the couple which were with him, it was a nice episode but wasn't as good as the rest of the series, by which i mean it didn't hit as hard so kinda similar to episode 2 but it's referenced many time so its a must watch

Not saying that's the case here, but it's worth pointing out that chinese uses 'gēgē ' - 哥哥 far more loosely than english does, for anybody from your actual brother, to your older (male) friends or even your boyfriend. Think of it like the korean hyung - 형, if you're more familiar with that concept.
Point being, this might not even be referring to somebody's actual brother.

EDIT: also the person who translated this as 'younger brother/sister' is objectively wrong, 'gege' specifically refers to a man older than you, younger brother would be didi and younger sister would be meimei (elder sister is jiejie, for those curious =D )

It was bait, but still... a young cop with a pregnant wife is a good target so entice.

So far I feel like this season has been a bit of a step down front the last. I think the departure from the old format has hurt it. Also, it also skirted the line with melodrama and last year I think it mostly hit. This season just feels like it's too much.
kinda feel the same way. Cheng Bin's death truly was tragic, but I feel like they went overboard with the execution while also making it feel a bit rushed (also It may be a cultural thing, but I've never seen anyone making an entrance to a funeral with background music, kinda cringed there). Last season had "drama" as well, but it felt more genuine and was more fitting with the more slice of life oriented mood.

Still too early to say that this season won't be as good, but definitely this episode won't be the one to make it great.

why was qiao ling wearing tennis shoes to a funeral lmao

also is the plot progression in this show going to continue being this painfully slow? barely anything happened except the 30 seconds at the end with the photo. at least i got to see qiao ling assault someone in public which was cool i guess

Because this is China and tennis show are allowed at funerals. Hell you don't need to wear black at a funeral (the traditional color for funerals is white). You can attend a funeral wearing casual clothes.

Fantastic episode. The second part of the episode is why I love Link Click, the show handles the emotional segments so well. Too bad the old man one shotted everyone, would love to see another fight scene.

At first I had my doubts with the direction of direction of this season going more towards the mystery plot rather than emotional side stories but if the rest of the season will be of the same quality as these first three then I'm sure it will be incredible.

That was an emotional scene. Bin Chen's wife walking in. Her crying her heart out and flashbacks going on. For sure they'll be happy in next life. This time is just really unfortunate. For now the wife can still live on and try to live a happy life without him...I'm glad Cheng did use the photo to go back in that time so that Bin Chen was able to properly propose and she felt that.

Another cliffhanger tho
I'm confused she chose to wear white, which is an exchanging of vows and purity as opposed to black for mourning. Perhaps it was her way of saying she was making a new vow with him or that she wanted to lament on his broken promises?

At first I thought they changed the past using the photo, so I was confused too>-< During the funeral, the wife asked her husband "can you repay me in our next life?" then she felt he answered "yes, my lady." From what I understood after that scene, as our two MC's way of helping them, they showed her what would it be in their next life where Chen Bin fulfilled his promises.

That one guy: "Go ahead, hit me if you want!"
Also that guy: "You brat, how can you do this for real!"
Thanks to Qiao Ling slaps though, that's my girl there.

The funeral scene duration was real fast, well they adapted the proposal scene nicely because it was cute so no problem I think.
RIP to Chen Bin, I just thought he is best character in the series but that happened... I feel really bad.

I interpreted it as that she's going to have a wedding with him right there (flashback immediately before that scene hinted that they have yet to have a wedding despite two years of obtaining the marriage certificate), to fulfill an unfulfilled promise. Then the MC later proceed to go back in time to give her a makeshift ring and proposing, "helping" them to fulfill one of the many unfulfilled promises that they had. To me, the wedding also kinda signifies that she trust that he's not corrupted, and that she has no intention to remarry despite his death.

This episode really made me teared ='(

I know this is just a continuation of the overarching subplot of season 1, but it feels totally different. It's a lot more mystery compared to season 1's drama (both seasons had/so far have both stands and mystery, too be clear but the emphasis is different I think)

And just no. A young-ish couple, pregnant wife, and now dead (via murder) husband. That shit ain't cool at all. I feel terrible

This episode was so sad. Chen Bin's wife had such a heartbreaking speech, that I literally started crying. How could they do something so cruel to her? Then the guy behind this has the audacity to go to the funeral and have the parents make a huge ordeal and cause unnecessary drama. This pissed me off. The scruffy guy pisses me off too. He's gross and reminds me of a monkey for some reason. Is Guang Lu going to mention the girl in the yellow jacket?
