Finally, we're getting the long awaited battle that was inevitable at this point. However, the first half of this episode were kinda amusing.

Actually, I think this episode was a combination of goofy and cool. The transformations were really out of this world though, no joke. That's some Super Saiyan-like aura right there.

Still so rushed but at least it will be over soon. lol

I was hoping for a good fight with Sylva but it seems like it will be rushed too since Hao is already awake in the preview...

Poor Ryuu always gets meme'd too.

how the hell they made me invested more in Hororo backstory than the fight itself.
how ironic the backstory is better than the mediocre fight scene.

Kororo was the girl, that was so sad.

wondering why Patch people not fighting together instead? because of stupid storytelling.

lmao how many fight in just this one episode? feels so rushed.

A wooden school building, a cicada sound, a dam construction, and a local god, oh..... that's Higurashi. lol.

That Renim battle was too dumb. It was too easy and too dumb to be the Plant battle.

For everyone, whou think it's rushed. Yes it is. But it was the same in manga. The only reason, in manga there was few chapters for the fight it's because of big panels. Takei rushed ending in manga too.

I've just realised they went through 3 plants in this episode only and the most remarkable character was Kororo...

It's not rushed. This is what it was like in the manga. They were rushing through the story to end it properly.

So, Usui Horokeu and the girl that is Tamiko "Damuko" Kurobe is Horohoro's girlfriend, and sadly this was the most entertaining part of the episode.

So Horohoro's backstory was that his family is like Golden Kamuy being of the Usui bloodline, but that they lived in different worlds, and for all the ridicule that she got towards her death, she was the spirit companion Kororo that was around him from the very beginning supporting him from the sidelines. With Kailm's defeat, Horohoro is lovesick, and let him be already.

Next stage: the Forest Plant with Rhenim, and Lyserg deduces his chameleon presence with the help of Opacho, welp that was super easy. Whilst Yoh and Hao's talk of the past, Opacho is both Hao's strength and weakness, and he is essentially their code to defeating the Shaman King Hao.

The Cavern plant with Nichrom, and Tao Ren takes this easy bearing all emotions on his sleeve from Nichrom to seize all hared and the cycle of hate, settling their past grudges and going all-out. Love breaks all hate, yeah motivational speech from Yoh.

The Ocean plant with the multi-Over Soul Talim, and Chocolove intercedes well, but it's Yoh against Silva that will prove the final test of the Shaman Fight.

Sad backstory in 5 minutes and the girl's back in the next minute and gone in another. The rest of the episode multiple staff happens. The pacing is amazing. With 3 episodes left I knew something like this was gonna happen.

Four fights in one episode is a bit much, but Horohoro's backstory was a personal series highlight for me, and Opacho's "fight" was gold, so it balances out.

I'm just glad the characters are being prioritized over the fights here. Ideally, this would be a full adaptation of the manga, but if they have to sacrifice one or the other, it makes sense to rush through the action. Shaman King was always meant to be more about the characters than anything else anyway.

I suspect the pacing is likely as bad as it is compared to before so they can do the finale properly like they did with Osorezan Revoir, which I'd be fine with. I doubt the people actually working on the show were the ones who decided to limit this to 52 episodes. It was likely some executive fuck.

The transition from Horohoro and Damuko's heartfelt reunion to him fucking killing Kalim was way too hilarious lmao.

And damn, didn't know Horohoro was from Hinamizawa.

"It's not rushed."... "They were rushing"... hummmm
Countersense?!
For the ones that like to bother others (like me) with "you should read the manga/LN", please stop. I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations.

To be fair, the manga was cancelled when the final arc just begin so the author was forced to rush as much as he can with limited amount of chapters Jump gave him, and even then the manga was ended at cliffhanger rather than with proper conclusion (The manga was ended with Princess Hao joke). The manga was lucky enough to received 20 more extra chapters for the complete edition later on just so the author can end it properly (It's still rushed, but not as bad as the original ending).

Simple, the big three killed Shaman King lol.

More details, the manga was cancelled by Jump due to it's low popularity in comparison to the like of One Piece, Bleach, Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh at the time, even the extra chapters given for the manga volume's release aren't enough to cover the whole thing without being rushed

Horohoro backstory was so sad, poor girl, I didn't expect her to be Kororo but that was so heartwarming when she appeared in her human form, that was definitely the best aspect of this episode while the other fights were extremely rushed from Karim to Chameleon, Cavern and Beach ones.

dameko caught me seriously off guard lol. both her story and her spirit twist. really threw me back to the meatmata arc a bit with the theme.

not only that, but i felt the animation and art were perfect notch.

true that ren and choclove battle were rushed and empty. but it's nothing new. hororo's backstory was the best thing so far in this arc.

Why wait until now to give us Horhoro's backstory, and why so compressed?

It's episode 50... Horo2 one of the early character introduced and his past story was revealed on the almost last episode... His fight was cut off because of his past story.... Sadly we never see how Horo2 full power is...
