Hey look, another beautiful girl. Oh no, she's a yandere stalker. Arisa and Anzu to the rescue :)

A good and platonical friendship between siblings in anime? :O

I'm glad this was released all at once, with that ending.
Though I'm sure it's a false cliffhanger.

Well, this episode was a massive disappointment, it pretty much tanked the whole series for me. Sigh.

Bitches be crazy, man!! That's a yandere level I haven't seen in a while. Let's see how this will end, I know Anzu it's gonna be fine but still the danger factor is there.

Okay what the hell is this? That was an uncalled for level of plot twist. Not saying a light hearted anime can't be dark at times but this yandere murderous stalker felt way too out of the blue and contrived like in Science Fell In Love Season 2 finale. This is the type of shit you expect when you're watching Happy Sugar Life, not a high octane rom com. This woman could have been like that dude who tried making a move on Saki but this one took the things a bit too far for me.

Wow. I wasn’t expecting this series to take this type of turn. It went from a whacky rom com to a thriller real fast. (A romantic thriller lol). I know last episode dealt with serious subject matter but this took it up a notch.

i mean stalkers ARE insane, ever since that character appeared i was afraid she was going to pull out a knife and go psycho at some point and its not really a yandere thing "which would be contrived" i think is more of a she is mentally unstable and thinks its all one persons fault. Plus the title of the show is "romantic KILLER" which might have been a genius way to give us a hint that there was going to be a murderous antagonist lol.

This lady really got nothing better to do. Her delusions are almost impressive. That being said; I have no idea how she managed to drug Tsukasa, and at this point I'm afraid to ask.

It sure was convenient that Junta was there. Ah, Riri used their magic to the most minimum degree. It kind of seems like a copout that they aren't going to directly intercede despite doing so heavily in all other aspects of Anzu's life.

Otherwise, I wasn't expecting to have to deal with a murderous stalker as the final arc. I get the impression this series doesn't know what it wants to do anymore. The source is only 39 chapters, so maybe a bunch of content was cut? It's definitely felt all over the place in the back-half.

Think its probably because she was a dedicated stalker, wouldnt take her much to learn lockpicking from a youtube video or something, then install webcams and find out what drinks he liked and drug them

Riri probably used her magic coz the stalker was clearly interfering in anzu's love life, so riri can probably write it off due to that. I dont think riri can otherwise involve herself to a high extent. besides, riri is a fairy with non human perception of the world, so i dont think riri can know the best way to use magic outside of romantic situations. It is probably some unfamiliar territory.

The stalker was pretty much foreshadowed in lots of different points since maybe the very beginning. I think one of the previous episodes even had a flashback to crazy stalker when anzu and tsukasa were going to shop outside for the first time and he got nervous when others were approaching him.

But yeah, the episode was kinda fast paced compared to the others.

atleast this makes anzu accomodating tsukasa in a different light.
she was probably the complete opposite of the stalker.

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

Tsuchiya x Hijiri x Anzu trio so cute lol!!!!!!

When Kazuki said he had a stalker, I was like, damn, I can alr predict what the response to this reveal would be. I think people don’t understand how exhausting & scary it is to have a stalker, or maybe even make light of it especially so if the one getting stalked is a handsome guy. Or just a guy even. Like hey, you should be flattered, right? Wouldn’t a guy enjoy it? And how it affects your life, and is so out of your own control. I’ve seen how stalking can literally ruin your life. And not just yours, even the people around you. I think people also forgot how mean and irrational teenagers can be……

So sad, I cried when Anzu & Kazuki said they wished they met each other much earlier. And that was so sincere & vulnerable. He said he wasn’t able to form genuine relationships because of his trauma. And they share such a bond now, it wasn’t even a romantic moment but it was so moving! And Arisa is such a great sister, that hit a little too close to home……

Omg Ryuya so thoughtful when he told Junta not to get involved because he’s worried he might get into trouble/kicked off his club. It’s so sweet seeing how many people will help & protect Anzu.

I like how it’s this romcom & it’s also so much more than that. Anzu is a good influence in her circle & she has made such a change in their lives, I liked these episodes which deal with trauma & how even just having someone on your side can help you even if it were just a little. As someone who had to deal with my trauma & pain alone, I wish I had someone like Anzu in my life back then, and seeing her treat the people around her with such sincerity and kindness, it inspires me too! As cringe as it seems, but I’m glad I got a takeaway from this character. I’m not a teenager any more so looking back at such moments help me reflect & in a weird way almost brings me peace.

Also how is Kazuki’s stalker a plot twist/random/sudden….? It’s literally been shown that he has a trauma of sorts. I can see why people are thrown off by how a lighthearted romcom took a 180 lol but I liked it, we already knew that Kazuki was going thru something. If anything these episodes just show that everyone is fighting a battle of their own.

At first I thought his trauma would be very related to his being good-looking, but surprisingly it wasn't... like, at all. If he were a pimple-ridden teen that crazy stalker would've still like him and then scared him shiftless regardless. Dang. (But of course if he were ugly he wouldn't even be a romance target to begin with, lol.)

damn

is this still the same show?

I think it's safe to say that this whole stalker ordeal is effectively creepy, gripping, over-the-top (gotta mention the extreme lengths that our stalker goes to here, who is going above and beyond to be with her beloved Tsukasa. It does make you go "WTF", but at least it is based somewhat and the writers added even a little something to make it at least believable enough. That being that this woman saying she was bullied in the workplace, and that Tsukasa was like the first person who was ever nice to her; thus giving birth to some VERY obsessive tendencies) and enthralling. The question is: does this dark turn fit in and have its place in what seems to be your typical light-hearted rom-com? I'd like to argue that yes, it does, and adds a significant amount of weight to what would otherwise be, well, just your typical standard feel-good rom-com.

1: It's been foreshadowed from close to the start that Kanzaki was uncomfortable being under the gaze of other women, so while yes it did get dark fast, you can't really argue that it came out of nowhere.

and 2: If you think about this simply as another rom-com, then yes, all this dark sh*t is unnecessary and extremely out of place, put here for the sake of nothing else other than for pure shock value. But again, that's if you accept this as a mere rom-com- and I think it has shown that it is something more than that. It is operating under the guise of being a rom-com, as it is fun, easy to consume, and thus easy to draw an audience in. Which, would be handy especially in the case of this still being in netflix jail. It starts out and continues as a rom-com, but doesn't CHANGE into something else, instead EVOLVES and GROWS into something else.

Riri's objective was to make people fall in love and make lots of babies. And from the looks of it, he/she/they has failed in Anzu's case- but has greatly unintentionally succeeded on another front. What Riri has sown were not seeds of romantic love, but a love much deeper and more profound (maybe not terribly profound, but it is profound for a rom-com that always just focuses on romantic love for obvious reasons). They have brought people together in hopes of sprouting romantic love, but instead have brought people together who needed each other, particularly of course Kanzaki needing someone like Anzu in his life.

Maybe Riri, as annoying as they are, have failed in making people all lovey-dovey. But instead they have created a greater form of love, have succeeded in bring a group of people who are there for each other, who watch each other's backs no matter what.... and what love can beat that. Hence the title "Romantic Killer", death to romance, hello to BROMANCE AMIRITE LOL!!!! Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it and they'll take a huge dump on it all in the next episode and go back to the usual rom-com stuff. Not that I'd mind that, of course.

Man it's crazy how we've gone from "FINALLY that potato's magic is disabled so he can leave her alone for 5 minutes" to "OH NO the magic is gone!!!"

Stalkers are utterly terrifying. They just won't stop until they are stopped. Poor Tsukasa. That bitch is 100% delusional and even drugged him and smeared his reputation online. I can't watch the next episode fast enough to get to the part where she's removed from his life permanently.

I don't know if I should say this or not, correct me if you guys think so, but I actually feel bad for her, I am not sure about her past or what kind of things has to go through, and neither i am from some psychological department, nor I am trying to justify what she was trying to do, but the thing is, I think she doesn't know what is going on with her. Let me explain, according to this episode, it seems like she was bullied very harshly in her workplace and also the kind of face she had when she first saw Tsukasa for the very first time, she was very depressed, almost like she gave up on her life, doesn't wanna continue the way everything was going on, and also looking at her family it seems like she wasn't even raised well with care, so according to me, she was at her worst, doesn't wanna continue her life, she was lonely, no friends, no one with whom she can share her feelings, and it also feels like she didn't have a nice teen life. So at this point when Tsukasa helped her, she felt something that she never felt before, something like a ray of light in a void of complete darkness, finally, a person who was kind to her and didn't treat her in a rude way like everyone else used to do, so in her mind, she created a picture of him, that "he is in love with her, both of them are in a good relationship, but the cruel world, where everyone used to bully her, the worlds don't want her to be happy, the world doesn't want them to fall in love and the world is torturing them both Tsukasa and her, so she has saved him, the only person who was kind to her" I think she created this image to protect herself and her will to continue her life, she is not conscious on how she hurting him and everyone, in her eyes/perspective, everyone is enemy who is trying to separate her, I think she needs some talk therapy, so that she can accept herself and understand what is actually going on.

It actually was a very well done plot twist, since it was heavily foreshadowed. Not just with the obvious bit of flashback when Kazuki and Anzu were at the mall, but with kazuki's whole personality. It's just unexpected because we are used to anime characters that don't have a reason to how they are, they just are. The thing is that characters like Kazuki normally are that way cause they're "cool" or something, they don't actually have backstory, let alone one as carefully thought and realistic as this one. I'm not saying that having a stalker is very common but we know it can happen and if it does this is definitely not an unlikely scenario.
