i see, i hope it all gets well

i did go to an ice rink once, it was really big, although it wasn't for ice hockey, it was for normal ice skating. i found it fun, though that is only for short moments, it got boring after long terms.

i cannot go visit a live game sadly, there aren't many ice hockey matches here in my country, and it'd be bothersome to leave the country during a plague, let alone to just watch a match.

i took a look at some of NHL highlights during my free time, it did look entertaining, their skill made it look easy despite it being extremely hard. although i regard it as entertaining, it barely interested me or gave me the urge to try it, even if just once in my life.

Same exactly, Even now I want to read Unimenko now and play the Visual Novel, VN because it has voices also so it'll be fun, But Im going to suppress my urges for now and postpone it to later as i i have some wtch list to complete, I've downloaded High school of the dead and I'm about to start it today,

And yeah Satoko being possessed by Lambda beats the purpose of Higurashi and becomes pointless, in the ending it was just a deliberate attempt by the author u can also say it was a marketing strategy into researching and reading more of his works and in the end becoming addicted to it..

I believe Satoko was conscious of her actions just being influenced into going insane by Lambda
zensh Oct 21, 2021 11:47 PM
From what I understood from multiple people is Satoko was possessed by lambda and she left satoko's body and gave her a pure state, althoug I believe the witch satoko is also satoko, it is not like she was completely taken over in control of lambda, you can just say that she was being deluded by lambda into making her a cruel witch and killing off her pure state.

This was a deliberate action done by the author in order to make the fans look into his other works like unimenko in order to get to know more about higurashi, so he made multiple links between higurashi and unimenko.

It was great but if someone says that Lambda possessed satoko and it was not actually satoko that was doing that cruel things then the plot becomes completely destroyed and nonsensical because It is satoko's hate and anger that made her into a witch not by just by merely being possessed by the witch Lambda, It is in all of higurashi arcs in which hate jealousy makes someone go insane so, You can come into conclusion that It is satoko herself that made her into what she become in Sotsu only that her pure state was being washed away by Lambda (in that way she was being deluded, and not entirely possesed by lambda)

Hope my theory seems correct and the best

will do. thank you for replying too

hmm soccer, reminds me of ep 3, faking penalities is funny at some point but they do it in a shameless way. hmm, indeed, ice hockey looked kind of fun in the anime, although it seemed quite fun, i am not interested in trying it, for not only do i know the difficulties of playing it, i am mainly not interested in any kind of sport
Siphlorus Oct 21, 2021 2:41 PM
mm i see, though why do you love hockey, or what made you interested in it. it doesn't feel like that was the reason but at the same time i also don't know, probably, i need to rewatch the anime to find out why or what and how. no problem, thank you too for replying, i also agree on that with you, though generally, hearing people's opinion about an anime you liked (hated is an option too) especially would interest you more than hearing someone's opinion about something random or didn't interest you in the least.
Siphlorus Oct 21, 2021 5:12 AM
the idea of an anime about girls playing ice hockey is quite funny, the show is quite weird and the thumbnail is excessive comedy, something that is mockable (not in a bad way). but yeah, i'd say the anime is about nothing, just a meaningless anime, a 3-4/10 anime, yet... after that 3rd episode i don't really know why or how but i changed my opinion, yeah still an anime about nothing, i don't like ice hockey and i am not the least interested in it but... yeah... i was thinking of dropping it but it seems like i will watch it till the end, mm, after my opinion changed, it is now a 6.2/10 (that's not as low as you think).

I'm glad we could understand each other a little better after this! I never tought I'd argue with a Mecican over Hockey and anime in the same conversation hahaha.

I'll give it a shot and redo my review for episode 4 keeping what you told me in mind. It was my first review ever, so I appreciate the feed back!
Rikaboom Oct 9, 2021 9:23 PM
Hey!

I didn't mean to offend you or anything, I just told my opinion about the show. I understand the purpose of the show now thanks to you, and I was curious during the episode and saw that the hockey ring they go to is a real place.

But I still think it's lacking a little bit; don't you think it's a little anticlimactic that they show the main cast win a final match in the first two minutes of the show? What if they had shown Thanos snap at the beggining of Infinity War and made you watch a spoiled story?

As I said in the review, I was curious about what Japan would do with an anime about Hockey, so I was as thrilled as you to see a show about it, it's just that I was expecting something a bit more Slice of Life in between the Hockey parts, not some kind of secret plan to form an Idol group.

Also, what did you mean by "fake Americans"? Is this how you refer to Canadians? That's just funny, not even an insult. If you meant anything else, please elaborate because it gets more confusing the more I think about it.

I'll admit one thing though, it's that I'm not a big fan of Hockey or sports in general, but I watch Hockey when my team is in the play offs. Remember I said I was French Canadian? That's right! My team's the f...ing Canadiens de Montréal and they where an extraordinary underdog this year that gave us all a bit of hope until the finals.

Anyways, if you enjoyed the episode, good for you, I mean it may end up being the first Idol anime that I like! Have a nice one.
