| very interesting episode. seeing subaru confront his past before entering the new world was great to see. i think it gave a lot of depth and development to his character that we haven't gotten to see up until now. |
| Subaru's backstory was interesting. So he's now confronted his past. I guess that's a good thing. His dad kinda reminded me of Ichigo's dad from bleach. They both have similiar personalities. |

| Why tf did I cry so much over this goddamnit. But anyway isn't Echidna evil? Isn't she a villain or something being the witch of greed and all? Why are her trials like this then cause this is definitely a good thing for Subaru. I feel like this is more training him than testing him. Also, he gotta get back to his world man. |

Indeed, I started watching this feeling pretty out of it, since I had not seen anime for a good while and not really feeling it and then ended up tearing up and relieving all those emotions from when I read this chapter on the LN earlier this year, a really solid adaptation, great episode, one of the bettter ones specially for developing Subaru further! LOVE IT |
