10/10, no shame. Loved it from start to finish. Glad to see everyone important make it out alive. Chisato and Takina had some of the greatest chemistry I've seen from main characters in a while and it made for a wonderful experience.

Great show, consistent quality throughout all the episodes, meshed comedy, action and day to day life very well. Characters oozed personality and were the stand out features in this show. Competent and easy to follow story, enjoyable script and VAs. 9/10.

Also, ballsy indirect kiss between Chisato and Majima considering the fanbase lmao.

Dude, how do you even survive that fall?

Glad Chisato still alive, and Takina as well. The plot armor is strong with these ones lol. If Aniplex give Spider Lily 2 cour anime and Adachi went for original plan... oh boi I wonder how the story goes, but I'll take this ending. 8/10

For the way that the story has shaped itself before this final episode, trying to nail the landing will always be the most difficult part. While I personally think the ending wasn't perfect, it was still done really well and it leaves me feeling satisfied. =)

The final clash between Chisato and Majima while the explosion timer ran down was intense and exciting. Thanks to Takina's arrival, Chisato made her last gasp move to send Majima falling and Takina rescued Chisato in time (in which he would survive again! XD), but the explosion was nothing more than a fireworks show.

Mika finally found Yoshi wounded, but he had to fend off the annoying aide of his. Thankfully, it was a very quick battle as Mika fooled her that he wasn't physically crippled at all. With that element of surprise, he thrashed her and proceeded to use a shotgun with the same bullets that Chisato uses to knock her out. After that, Mika and Yoshi had a rather touching moment before Mika finally put Yoshi out of his misery for good with a real bullet.

Chisato still lives on, but her running away to a remote island had Takina go there to retrieve her with the help from Kurumi's skills. The final post-credit scene was nice, with the LycoReco crew all operating a mobile coffee shop in Hawaii, with Chisato looking sexy with her outfits, firstly the midriff-bearing casual clothing hiding a bikini underneath and secondly the Hawaii dancer get-up she put on at the very end. A quick shout out to Kurumi who had a cute flower headpiece on her in the background, too. XD

Overall, this original story was done very well, aside from the odd plot hole hiccup here and there. The production values were strong all throughout and the VA performance, especially Chisato's VA, did a great job. I'll decide later if this series is an 8/10 or a 9/10 after the ending hype has calmed down.

Personally, it would be perfect if it would have a dramatic ending but still, a happy, nice ending with LycoReco still at service is much appreciated and satisfying. As much as I want to focus only with Chisato and Takina however, all or if not, most of the characters here are brilliant! This should be the anime of the season, no cap.

amazing, glad that they went for the happy ending route. Chisato still lives. Takina is amazing too, at how she rescued Chisato with the wire.

Jin came to their cafe, funny how it takes sometime for him to make an order.

had a good laugh at Kurumi aloha at the end. LOL

want more... maybe there would be season 2.

This scene has to be the epitome of bad character writing.

As long as u get a commendation or whatever, or even money, why think too much about orphans being recruited in a nebulous organisation and used to kill people at a very young age, whom may or may not be criminals, but denied from due course of justice anyways? And dont forget the organisation can easily cover any and all causalities by using media, news, influence or what have you? And they are doing this in broad day light and everything is exposed. But sure, go ahead and treasure that commendation and let everything to the school kids to kill whomever is a threat to your society's peace. Let's just accept it and believe that they will absolutely do nothing wrong at all. No questioning about whether this is due to a failing in the system to combat threats or whatever. Remember that policeman who shot a civilian to death a few episodes back just because he was completely unprepared to talk down a civilian with no lethal intent?? Oh, you probably wont remember that coz the same DA covered it up probably. Next time DA fails and someone accidentally holds a gun on streets, i guess u won't have to worry coz it is someone else who is going to get killed not you.

Yoshi's death just gets covered up like the photo hung on chisato's drawing. who cares. a guy who needs to be brought to justice isnt brought to justice and killed like in an execution. can't have chisato dying so time to take his heart. never mind how chisato might feel about it. And what if this artificial heart also stops functioning? can't get another one coz u killed yoshi. he probably buried the secret of the artificial heart with the firm.

And as usual the lycoris incident becomes a national joke. time to laugh everyone!! Citizens are asking for the taxpayer money but nobody cares lol. nobody wants to investigate the blatant coverup of the incident lol because why would they?? actor goes missing, video footage is erased, but come on, it surely doesnt mean someone's covering up everything. I guess no one will think about what majima said to them, exposing the truth and all that coverups. No food for thought?

Also, the policeman was able to take a picture. How many others may have saved the video recording and thought this wasnt a coverup and met one of those bloody younglings on their way to school? Well, I guess they won't think because nobody in this anime thinks. Not even the viewers are supposed to think. "You shouldn't think about trivial things" and "non trivial things".

Just sit down, watch the yuri bait, buy the light novel, try to fund another braindead season, coz that's what most of us are here for apparently. "Nobody think! otherwise you will spoil the fun!!!"

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.

Amazing Finale!
Beautiful Ending!
Every Characters was unique and charismatic.
Majima was a really interesting Antagonist.

Thank god it wasn't the ending that we all expected.

Lycoris Recoil surprising us as a Dark Horse from Summer 2022 Anime.
Chisato VA are doing really great job, also her chemistry with Takina was so adorable.
Easily one of the best Original Anime in 2022.

Also i wouldn't start this Anime if it wasn't because of Hideo Kojima Tweet.

It was a fine finale but it's like nothing really happened, you know? There were no consequences to anything and we're all happily ever after. I mean I suppose the Owl organization is pretty over with Shinji dead but I guess that's it. Chisato never had to kill anyone in the end and it's tragic that Mika had to kill his lover to get Chisato's heart back but I mean he was in a pretty bad way. Somehow Majima didn't die either. Well I guess they are kinda leaving it open for a second season if it does well enough rather than go for a conclusive ending that would close off the story. Was entertaining enough for the most part

After talking about it with other people in my social circles and reexamining certain scenes in the final episode, I still personally find this to be a really great series overall that never strayed away from its dual identity nor felt like a discombobulated narrative. The only real issue I found was that some notable plot points like with the DA and the Alan Institute and the LilyBell could've been touched upon or handled better, alas there wasn't enough time, it seems.

I'm actually glad Chisato wasn't killed off in the end, because to me it would be too heavy or inconsistent with the series' intentions. Unlike with other series that gave off death flags in a similar way, there were already multiple means told to us where she can be saved, so having her die to end the story right there. instead of giving her a new life with new opportunities, would be pandering too much for the sake of heavy drama, especially considering how the tone of the series was overall up to that point.

Majima apparently never actually wanted to cause chaos for the sake of chaos or destroy the organization. He calls himself the "balancer", to where his real aim was to challenge the status quo/system and give people the freedom of making a choice instead of being rigged to some fabrication. At the very least, while he didn't succeed in his plans to really start a revolution, he at least has sown the seeds of possible conflict in the future (hence the possibility of a sequel expanding upon such).

To have the final scene be just the main group screwing around in Hawaii is so typical of them and this series (Hawaii allows gay marriage, which is also good lol). That being said, I'm open for spinoffs or sequels, but even if we don't get that anytime soon and this may be just recency bias, I'm just glad I found something I can consider my personal AOTY 2022 (well, shared with SxF and Nijigasaki 2, ofc).

decent ending while a little unfocused was pretty darn safe for a open ending i have no clue if they intended to go the route of leaving room for a another season with how big this got from the start but that's what we got

i'm glad the show did tackle how messed up the logic of world of DA going around sending murdering school girls but it was handled pretty poorly near the end but was made up for by all the well done action moments this show truly was anime john wick even though Chisato has godlike abilities that are mostly not explained besides being a chosen one that should use her powers to kill which thankfuly her character growth is kinda only that she doesn't want to do that.

Chemistry between her and Takaina was easily the most popular aspect of the show next to the action with that alone it was a pretty entertaining watch....but i have to say i like Chisato but i've come realize shes kinda a selfish asshole lol

7.5/10 for Majima living lol.. there's a reason it happened off screen also the DA has learnt nothing and is still working as usual despite seeds of doubts planted

The show is good but even this episode itself is the proof to how much it's aiming teenagers, of course the explosion was just fireworks the villain isn't dead but they won and Chisato got her heart surgery then was reunited with Takina for the happy ending, that's the most predictable they could do but well, at least that's still a fine ending.

The 2nd half of the anime was a slog. It felt way too drawn out. Overall, the anime is pretty average (maybe a little above average). The animation is amazing, soundtrack is somewhat above average, the rest is below average so I would say it balances out nicely overall. The story has quite a number of plot conveniences written in and the main characters (villains included) had pretty amazing plot armor. If you stopped thinking about the story and just focus on enjoying what they are showing you (like the regular citizens in the anime) then you might enjoy this.

Some examples of plot conveniences would be: regular citizens were literally shot (on-screen and off-screen) and spotted the shooting done by the Lycoris not at the radio tower and it seems like everybody just forgot about those and believed the cover-up. And Kurumi and the others could have tried to look into the researcher that developed the artificial heart way before they split up yet everything had to happen during the climax of the arc. And in this last episode, Chisato just blindly leapt into an obvious trap just so the viewers can see one final exciting fight between Majima and Chisato with that opening song playing in the background...

Personally, I am not that fond of the characters but their antics and interactions are fun. So, in conclusion, story was average (maybe even below average with how dragged out the second half which focused on the main incident felt), while the animations are great.

Absolutely loved this finale. The way the writer's make things unpredictable and have things turn out unexpectedly really add to the joy I had when watching this beautifully crafted show. I loved how Chisato dealt with Majima. I loved how Takina would drop down whatever she is doing to help Chisato. I loved how we got the wholesome ending with Chisato continuing to live but there were several problems along the way to get there. Chisato also retaining her joyful demeanour even when accepting her fate that she would likely die was sad but still nice to see. Initially she refused the new heart implant but then eventually accepted it and still continue to brighten everyone's mood around her. I do think what I said is a bit confusing but its hard to describe how well that episode and this show is. That ending felt conclusive yet still looks like a potential season 2 can be on its way with Majima surviving that fall. Quite a few shows have done this like Psycho Pass season 1 but then fallen off with the latter seasons so hopefully any sequel would be at least almost as good as this season.

Chisato and Majima had their last confrontation, Mika met Yoshimatsu and finished him off. Majima fell from the tower, Takina was able to save Chisato from falling. And the "explosion" was activated, but it was only fireworks.
Everything was in order, Majima seems to have survived, and Chisato disappeared. And Takina with the help of Kurumi found her on the beach. Chisato had her heart transplanted, and she is fine now. Mika returned the necklace to Chisato, but she threw it away. And now, they are going to Hawaii xd
It was really good, I liked this anime a lot. It looks like there might be a second season, but we'll have to see.

(This is kinda long)
Honestly for the final episode it was kinda... Meh ngl... Hear me out. I really really loved the scenes between Majima and Chisato, and I actually really loved Majima's character despite how he's supposed to be the villain, and when the fireworks went off instead of an explosion I almost wanted to cry cause at the time I genuinely thought Majima was dead & I felt so bad bc after all that they were just.. well fireworks.. But I SCREAMMMED when they showed him alive afterwards AAHHH probably my favorite part in this whole episode. I Also loved the part where the ceiling cracked and Takina saved Chisato w/ the rope before she fell completely, LIKE YES THAT'S MY GIRL! It was such a great scene. Honestly looking back I liked most of the episode, but the thing that just left such a bad taste in my mouth was when Mika killed Shinji... I thought that part was so... Unnecessary??? Don't get me wrong Mika was pretty badass when he took out that woman, & Shinji was lowkey a manipulative jerk from what we've seen, but it just felt out of place somehow.. Maybe it's just me but like that whole thing w/ Shinji putting the heart in himself & wanting Chisato to kill him for the sake of her whole "Talent for killing" and the Alan Institute.. Just kinda felt unnecessary. I really wish they would've fleshed out his character more & his motives, like why the hell he was so obsessed w/ the Alan Institute in the first place (He seemed almost brainwashed with their ideals), and why he went to such extreme lengths so Chisato would kill him to get the heart (I mean ig we kinda already know but like... WHY THO Y'KNOW???), & also what the hell was up with the Alan Institute anyway, we barely got ANY info on them. I just.. Idk I feel like that whole storyline coulda been fleshed out a lot more. Also Mika killing Shinji just left a bad taste in my mouth in general, not only bc they were once lovers & clearly still had some lingering feelings for each other which made it hard to watch Mika kill him (even if he was kind of a scumbag), but also since Chisato didn't kill him not only bc of her 'No kill Policy' but also because she clearly said she didnt feel right having Shinji die so she could live with his heart... She literally stopped Takina from killing him bc of that - THAT WAS LIKE THE WHOLE POINT OF EP.12!?!? I'm not saying I wanted Chisato to die obviously, but like I figured they'd come up with another way to help her live without killing him?? Like saying the heart was never in him anyway it was in the suitcase the whole time or sumn.. Speaking of which, I can't be the only one who was seriously confused on the part with the box Shinji gave Chisato, and the little message inside he wrote for her that Mika ripped out, & the part where Mika and Kurumi were talking and he said something about 'rushing to conclusions'.... So like.. Was the heart NOT in Shinji anyway?? Was it actually in the suitcase the whole time??? And if so, did he kill Shinji for nothing and that's why he said that. Or am I misunderstanding & the heart was in shinji? But if that's the case what the hell was up with the suitcase bro, like why was Shinj still protecting it, & why did Mika take it if the heart wasn't in there??? Unless that little box Shinji gave her was in it which I doubt they'd try to protect that much. I DON'T KNOW BRO I was just so damn confused on that entire part, if someone could explain it that would mean the world to me. Also I can't help wonder how Chisato would feel if she knew Mika Killed Shinji in order to give her the heart.. This is what bugs me - did they not think about that before having Mika kill him? Like the whole thing just felt... Weird. If this was gonna be the case they could've just had Takina kill him when she had the chance, if he was just gonna get killed anyway. Idk the whole conclusion to that situation just felt off to me. Also I died inside when they showed the picture Chisato drew with Her, Mika, & Shinji in the cafe like.. why though... Anyways besides all that, the episode was pretty good. I feel like it could've been better in some areas - it definitely wasn't the best episode - but just cause the finale was meh it doesn't take away my overall enjoyment of the show, the ending scenes also felt a little off but at least it ended on a happier note ig & Chisato's alive so I'm glad. Also her and Takina are back together again & so is everyone at LycoReco so I can't complain too much (And Majima's still alive too which makes me very weirdly happy - I really like his character idk) Just wish they would've done more with the storyline involving the Alan Institute, & fleshed out Shinji & even Majima's characters more. Especially Majima, he actually had a very good point about how DA aren't rlly the heros they think they are, & it doesn't really sit right w/ me how they covered everything up either. But him being alive is obviously for a reason, so they'll probably expand on that idea & hopefully even the Alan Institute way more in a potential Season 2/Sequel since they seem to have intentionally left it open ended. And I personally hope they do, bc I honestly think this story had a lot of untapped potential... Overall I'd give it an 8 or 9/10 it wasn't the best ending but it was...ok(?) And besides, the rest of the series was really great in so many ways so I guess that sorta makes up for it. Not to mention how it's still better than a lot of the anime that come out nowadays, especially considering it's an original. I enjoyed it overall & I'll miss watching new episodes, but idk that ending left me feeling a little.. empty ig - I don't rlly know how to feel abt it

When I first heard about this series I thought it would be one of my favourites of the season, but it just hasn't turned out that way for me. The animation was great, and most of the main characters did well together. The main thing I couldn't get over was the va for Chisato. For some reason I found her really annoying and I don't even know why. This hasn't really happened before in an anime for me, so I think that's the main reason a lot of the enjoyment was sucked out.
Apart from that it was decent. The main "villain" did come across as a bit generic, as well as having the ending that it did. If they'd have gone for something a little darker it could've been better I think.
