| What a good time for Spring and sweets! I thought it was a charming episode for the cast, especially Nagomu as he's able to connect more with friends and family. And I'm kinda impressed by the realism of this show/episode. Kids act like the way kids do and the Spring season is exactly how I'd pictured. |

| Ones past can be harsh but it always has it's good moments and it was nice to see some of that past. It was a nice episode and we learned a few things about the characters ones again. Nagomu being kind to that old men was also touching to watch. Helping out other when you can is always a good thing. |
| This episode was so beautiful. 😭 Koume obaasan's story was very sad. It was a tragic love. Nagomu is also very kind and helpful. He really likes to help everyone. |

| The new year has come. But yeah, well, getting kicked right in the face can make a person gloomy, that's for sure. I wonder what was the old mans story, the one with the flowers. The part with the name, grandpa and grandma was touching, tho im not sure if i get it fully. |

| The new year has come, and none says the new year quite like the exotic wagashi sweets made for specific seasons. Another episode awaiting Spring's arrival in the Winter season, and spending the new year eating food and giving Otoshidama (lit. New Year's money) is customary in Japan. Nagomu sure is kidding, but is still the same heart of gold he is...except for one grandpa whom holds a flower wreath to visit his deceased mother's graveside, only to be met with endless karma from his wife, that's harsh. But what better for Nagomu to hand his practice hanabira mochi to the grandpa for free, and that's a gift from the heart. To end the day with Nagomu and Itsuka doing a ritual prayer, that's the usual stance. Koume-chan comes back again, this time visiting Ryokushou, and she's still the same handful that's not one better at preschool. Things can be tough within Harumi's family with herself and grandma Otsuru taking care of the kids, much less a name differential because kids don't like what it references to (the Umeboshi plum). I'd not think that Umeka tried to find a Koume-san, to only realize that grandma Otsuru would be that geiko to be reunited with Umeka's hospitalized grandpa via the Fueled Crimson wagashi. Touching episode as always. |

| Looks like we're finally getting back to the plot about Itsuka's dad next episode. I'm curious to know why he abandoned her. |
| As someone who has both a Nephew and Niece the interaction between Adults and Koume *ahem* Monaka! are so cute and wholesome.. especially when ya know ya cannot be stubborn with a child.. A pretty wholesome episode as always.. nothing beats that.. Last 2 episodes left.. I'm not ready.. |
| Great episode! Naghomu meets a man who is having an unlucky day... he decides to give him the sweets he made for training... MITARASHI HEAVEN BOMBER! It seems that Koume san was right there all along... That was a sad story... Looking forward to the next episode! |

| Wholesome episode, but the whole "Ume" conflict in the second half was kind of weird. Probably just a bit of a cultural thing somewhat lost in translation, much like Crunchyroll's continued refusal to translate basic terms like "Obachan" in this show's subs. |

The show says it pretty clearly. She was being made fun of at preschool cause of her name and latched onto a character from a popular children's show's name instead. |
| nagomu and that grandpa omg :'))) and his dad praying "i wish a certain someone would stop calling his creations bad" soo he acknowledges nagomu right?? thats nice the grandma's story ugwhwhhhghh hate tragic loves. but im glad they reconciled (?) ish at the end |
| It seems like we'll get Itsuka's dad's story. Last two episodes may hit hard in the feels. Though I believe the ending will be sweet! |

| I definitely liked the first half where Nagomu gave his sweets that he made himself to that old man, his dad finding out while making his wish was funny lol. The 2nd half featuring the little girl Koume finding out her grandma (also Koume) was a geiko was nice as well, a sad backstory for her but little Koume learning to like her name and appreciate plums was sweet. I wonder if we’ll see that green haired girl again or not. |
| It is sad how their love was not allowed by Umeko's great grandmother, it seems like it was always a part of them even if they moved on and it seems like they got some closure in the end with the hair accessory being returned. I thought it was funny how Nagomu's father let it be known he knew what Nagomu and Itsuka did but at the same time, he was telling his son not to put his skills down which I thought was sweet since he's usually so cold towards Nagomu. |

I get you, the conflict was quite strange to watch because the ume and plum translation was all over the place so until halfway through so it felt too disjointed. I don't know if they could have solved it though |
| I should have get them feels for the second half, but no I don't. Felt like just there to fit allotted time. I just need the main cast, I just don't care about anyone else. But it's nice to see they're not gonna left the story of Itsuka's dad just hanging in this season. |

| Another lovely episode. Old lady's backstory was both interesting and lowkey sad. And also... did I just hear Nagomu's dad complimenting his son's works? New Year miracle!! |
| Eyy new year already, and its surely had its nice moment. Itsuka was so cute when sightseeing the first sunrise with Nagomu. And once again Nagomu kind-hearted trait that loves helping around, barge into another random old man problem and helping him out of his gloom day about his mother. Itsuka also helping him out and well, a very nice first day on their new year! The second part where all the connection connected when the helper of the Ryokushou sweet shop, got a backstory screentime with her cute granddaughter, Koume. Turns out that Koume name was actually comes from her past geiko stage name, and it's sure hold a deeper meaning and history behind it, than just the ume plum name. Nice vibing there, adorable scenery with those girl hanging out with good innocence kid. Now all the Ryokushou sweet shop member have a complete story around them. So, yeay! Its time for the final story conclusion of this 'recipe for happiness' show, the return of Itsuka beginning story about her dad and what's end its reach. 2 more episodes.... |

| A sweet episode. Nagomu is really growing into a fine wagashi maker (?), isn't he? I think at this point his dad is just like a tsundere who isn't used to appreciating his son directly. But I bet he's really proud and happy that Nagomu is back here again. |
