How cute to see this show return in a fashionable and exciting way in the style of a festival.

We got hotdogs (wtf), yukatas, fun, an games all around. A cute breather episode if you ask me and hey, the main cast enjoyed their time.

I already missed my sweethearts. It was nice to see them again.

That zombie apocalypse was amusing.

Such a fun and delightful summer festival. The girls looked cute in their yukatas.

LEL a recap to have a new spin on Shamiko's situation involving zombies and DJs...it's obviously a joke. Lilith's "backstories" and 4th wall breaking were hilarious though.

Shamiko's summer vacation sure was a frenzy, but she didn't enjoy it like a PROPER vacation, so she seeks other things of interest. And sure enough, the summer festival is no short of things to enjoy, but Shamiko ain't feelin' it since she's alone, until the "lost child" announcement of the Magical Girls Momo and Mikan looking for her, and even Lilith is here just to use her money for enjoyment.

And it ain't Summer without leftover homework, and Momo just doesn't give a heck care about it, rather to prioritize on Shamiko, who's been given a second lease of life being Sakura's vessel. And instead, Shamiko teaching Momo to study with the reward being a pair of tickets to the zoo, what an evil way to prey on materialistic pleasures that's not faring as better as she'd hoped.

Be smart, and plan well.

The fake recaps are such a good gag, lmao.

in general this show is still just soooo goooood. Momo and Shamiko have the most amazing back-and-forths, especially when Momo changes the subject or tries to win an argument with a torrent of nonsense logic, and it usually works because Shamiko is smol-brained.

Also getting more details on Momo's backstory was nice, and also very sad. She's basically been a magical girl as long as she can remember, she doesn't know anything else, and the one person who anchored her to life disappeared. Now Shamiko is that anchor, though Momo's now really in the big sister position much as Shamiko might insist it's the other way around.

it was also a nice moment when Shamiko was able to tell her own feelings from her tail being limp, and realize she wasn't happy being alone anymore.

When i saw the school room that was my thought. wasn't sure if it was because I watched that school within the past 2 weeks.

Always knew homework was a school's evil scam. I was right in never doing it! :D

A demon doing homework in good time while a magical girl waits until last minute. This show does like its juxtapositions.

A setup episode now that we're starting a new arc, that zombie dog was an obvious reference.

Shamiko was also lonely doing anything without Momo and Momo was honest about wanting bento done by Shami, very important development.

Considering that this series didn't air last week, the timing of this "recap" was rather perfect, especially since it was nothing more than a crazy dream which definitely referenced the likes of Gakkougurashi. XD

After all that she went through, it was time for Shamiko to enjoy a more traditional summer vacation and the local shopping district had its own festival. Shamiko looked rather adorable in her Yukata, although it was hard for her to enjoy it alone. That changed when Momo and Mikan joined and the group had a rather good time. The announcements were proper brilliant and gave me a good laugh, too.

Another thing to do in a traditional summer vacation is, of course, summer homework. While Shamiko can't deal with maths, at least she sprung into action in getting Momo to actually do any of hers at all. Not just that, but it also had Momo open up a bit more of her past with Sakura and how lonely she was after she disappeared.

You can see how much more positive she is since Shamiko came into her life and rather recent development from the last few episodes. I look forward to their well deserved trip to the zoo next time. ^_^

An introspective yet hilarious episode all around… Shami’s “Recap Rap” and her realization she was walking around in public wearing nothing but a leaf had me dying 😆 And for some reason all the fish jumping directly into Momo’s bowl cracked me up too 🤣

I don't know what the opening fuss was all about but immediately remembered Gakkougurashi series and how impactful it was in determining my tastes in anime. Lilith was indeed very cool with a shard stuck in his hand, lol.

Wow, what an existential themed episode it was. First Shamiko is trying to find her small demonic place in peaceful summer vacation and later Momo is procrastinating and engages in demagogy about school rules. However, they still feel good together and have places to go, so the goal of calming the soul is fulfilled once again.

Yeah GakkouGurashi is my second fav anime and manga of all time so I spotted it directly
With the Taromaru reference that made me remember the saddest scene of Gakkou
And also the Mall reference + Classroom

More anime should do parody fake recaps lmao. The actual "recap" was pretty funny too and thus already more worthwhile than most other recaps..I guess.

that zombie part made me laugh so hard. Survivors not wanting to share food, a dumb survivor opening the barricade for dog. lol

Shamiko, Momo and Mikan look good in Yukata.

good student Shamiko wanting to finish homework. :-)

Wtf after a one-week break i completely forget about continuing this series lmao

Glad that the recap happens, even if its not that true at all kekw. I'm still proud with Shamiko, manage to create a nice diary about the previous plot point, enjoy her little time on a summer festival, wearing a leaf-yukata, and then, back to the hardshipness again with Momo against the summer homework. Oh hell yeah, why am i forgot about this at that time xd. Don't give up, Shamiko!

Was an okay episode, not especially funny. Next episode with the restaurant owner in the zoo should be good though.
