I mean by now it's pretty clear this is just a cash grab. I'm just scared that they are wasting their budget on shitty non-canon side projects like these and are potentially lowering the animation quality of the much-awaited BNHA S6. |

Honestly, my thoughts. I feel like Bones should just focus on S6 as a whole and not do extra things like these, albeit i'm kinda excited for this tbh. |

They have different teams for each project so this will not take away from the quality of season 6. |

Not sure how this is a cash grab? Besides, Bones has done an OVA episode almost every season next to movies. I’m looking forward to it. |

1 Word: MONEY Season 5 was a clear drop in animation quality to me so I was already worried about season 6 and now they are making this so they have even less time to make season 6 better😔 |
Please stop, I don’t want to see any more Dekugo😭 |

The real question when is the MHA movie coming to Bluray in the West. I need a subbed version. It's been out on Bluray since FEB in Japan with only japanese subs and almost a whole year since released in theaters. |

its not the studio making this decision but the Production Committee which are the real owners of any anime Anime Studios can just accept or deny work but who wants to deny work or money if they can? |

Next season better have at least the same level of animation Season 3 had. The hype on this anime is pretty much dead, and it was the most talked about shonen a few years back. |

Their BNHA OVAs and ONAs definitely seem lower budget than the main series and movies, so I'm guessing that the latter is taking more away from the main show than these. |

I mean the almost entirety of S4 (except the final fight scene) had slideshow animation. Whereas the survival training ova which I was released before it had decently good animation for a 2 ep special. The thing is that I'm just looking forward to S6 and don't want it to be as horrendous as S5 was made to be even though it seemed great in the manga |

Yeah but still why waste any money and time on these OVA. It's not like these will make them any significant amount of money. Whereas if they put a good effort in S6 they'll more likely have a higher DVD sale for this season. |

Wait don't the higher-ups in a studio have the power to accept and reject an adaptation? Like WIT stopped animating AOT, and Kingdom had a studio change after the first few seasons. |

As far as I know, anime studios main income comes from BR sellings, which are only bought by die-hard fans. But to sell a BR you have to offer some extra material, mainly OVAs. So, if anything, this kind of projects rather than lower the main series quality, are for making it economically viable. If you don't like it, you can simply not watch it. I will not. |

If you think studios make non-canon titles to entertain us, then you're dead wrong 💀. Bruv their main motive is to milk the series as much as possible to gain the maximum profit possible. Also if it was some other season, I wouldn't have even cared but S6 is much anticipated and probably one of the best arcs in the series. |

Btw, the official site says it will be released on video and previously shown on cinemas, so it will (hopefully) earn something for Bones. Do they have other income options? Sure they do, but BR sellings is the main one for any studio, as (almost) all proft gained by this goes directly to the studio. In fact, you can actually predict if a show will be renewed just by seeing how well are BR selling. It is not supposed to make enough budget to produce an entire season, Producers are the ones in charge of that, but BR and merch sellings are a good incentive to invest in a franchise (just see how much producers are behind any popular series with good merch sellings). |

Completionists are people who watch anything they pick up and don't drop it. Also, they cover anything a series has to offer. Like I'll be covering every BNHA anime title available on MAL. They are directly uploaded on the internet (presumably to online streaming services) though it is acceptable if they are just using this as a promotional piece since I hardly think this is gonna generate enough money for them to increase their budget. |

S6 is still five months away. They’ve been working on the season for a while. Bones just finished the Case Study of Vanitas, so guess where that money will be going. You’re acting like 2 ONAs will break/slow down, Bones. BTW most Shonen shows have random OVAs during offseasons. It’s gonna be okay. |

First of all, a completionist doesn't mean someone who collects everything related to the series like the DVD to an anime series. Completionists are people who watch anything they pick up and don't drop it. Also, they cover anything a series has to offer. Like I'll be covering every BNHA anime title available on MAL. I mean if you consider collectors as completionists too then you're right I guess. And secondly, this title is an ONA (Original Net Animation) They aren't released on DVD/Blu-rays. They are directly uploaded on the internet (presumably to online streaming services) though it is acceptable if they are just using this as a promotional piece since I hardly think this is gonna generate enough money for them to increase their budget. In my head, sounds like you are really pissed for my coment lol. I'm not attacking you or anything. Honestly, I don't even care. I didn't use the concept of "completionist" as an insult, I'm just saying that, even if it's not your case, surely there will be people buying this just because is a new BnHA. If it is because they are super fans or, because just like you, they like to wacth everything, it doesn't matter. I case you are interested to know, I consider my self somehow a completionist too, as I never drop a series once I started watching it (with a few exceptions anyway). On your second point, I know what a "Original Net Animation" means. And yes, I know MAL says this is an ONA. I just repeated what the official site says. If they are wrong or MAL is wrong, again, Idc. In any case, it seems you misunderstood what I said about the budget logics in the industry. Bones is not trying to make enough money to produce the 6th season just buy the (eventual) selling of this. Producers are the ones that pay, well, productions xd. If I have to guess, I assume that 5th season BRs didn't sell as well as Bones expected, so the studio is releasing something new to cover that, and so, persuade the producer showing them that BnHA is still a profitable franchise. (trust me, producers don't give their money so easily, you need to show them some good numbers. i know what i'm saying). Just so it's clear, I was not pissed or angry lol. Sorry if my comment came off a bit rude. I didn't mean it. Also, I don't think 'completionist' is an insult. I just thought you might have mixed up the terms lol. Hmm it looks like I did in fact misunderstood what you were trying to say. I think I get it now. But I still think that instead of trying to cover up for the low sale of S5 BR/DVD's they should just put it all in S6 which, if it turns out good, would generate more profit than what they were initially targeting. Like if S6 has some really good animation and direction then it'll obviously get attention and in turn more people will be willing to buy the BR/DVD's. |

Why are people so fussed about it? Yes it may be a cash grab but ultimately it will make the next season better… and if you don’t want to watch it THEN DONT it’s not difficult |
