Oh man, this episode was kinda all over the place but it was fun to see more of Chika and her friends on screen. Also enjoyed the scenes between Karyl and Pecorine this episode. They've became from total strangers to close friends now. Episode had some magical and fantasy elements as usual with another JRPG-ish fight. |

CUTE!!!!! Chika was sooooo cute, as well as, ponytail Saren-mama. The moments between Pecorine and Kyaru were very lovely. The song that Chika had sung in this episode is Kaze e no Chikai. I really love this song. Foggy from the Forgetful Carol event. One of the event bosses that I really hate. With this pattern, the next one could be twinkle Wish and the event of Twinkle Crisis. PS. Carmina is back...though this time, they've landed themselves in a far worse situation than before with Chika's distress call. Also, I'd feel that this is a bit of a deja vu with Season 1 Episode 10 with the family restaurant Cockatrice's Nest. Yuuki...definitely had memories of Yui, Hiyori and Rei from Twinkle Wish (bear in mind that they HAVEN'T been shown episodically yet), The Sarendia Orphanage got their headstart last season with Suzume and Saren, and now this episode with Ayane and her bear ventriloquist Pukichi along with Kurumi, and Mama Saren as head of the guild really works hard for their upbringing. Though the Cockatrice's Nest is once again home to another problem: Chika and Kurumi being possessed by something, and Pukichi in Chika to relieve of their memory manipulation. In the mobage, this is taken straight from "A Forgetful Carol / The Carol That Never Was" seasonal event with Foggy being the event boss. Nice to see both Pecorine and Karyl have their moment, and they really grow close together with Pecorine being the enthusiastic younger sister, Karyl being the sensible older sister, and Koro-ster and Yuuki being mother and younger brother, yep a happy Gourmet family. Yuuki trying to shield Pecorine from Foggy's attacks, and was brought to the memories of Twinkle Wish, and mobage fans will know what's coming up next since the event has been playable in both JP and global servers. Rei, Hiyori and Yui's New Year's Day: Twinkle Crisis Adapting key events from the mobage, it's a gutsy risk, but it carries the anime's episodic story well regardless. Also, are you able to spot Ayumi? She's pretty well-hidden this time. |

Stop with the bait goddammit!!!! Like seriously the lightning and colors during that peco and kyaru was way too cute that I was smiling the whole time. Conflicted between this and akebi for my favorites this season. Can't wait for yuuki's backstory as well, season 1 felt kinda lackluster but this season has been such a great ride and we are only 7 episodes in. |

I guess it's time for Makoto to practice apologizing. Tsumugi didn't appear in this episode and more of Yuuki's memories being shown and more clear this time, this can only mean one thing. Charlie getting to meet Nozomi and Chika with their unusual bonding. And being slapped by Kurumi and Saren. He must be having fun. |

Great episode! This time we get to see the amazing 'The carol that never was' event from the Priconne game. Though Kurumi and Ayane are both trash and I hate how useless they are in the game (Kurumi with UE is eh for PVP) MAMA SAREN IS AMAZING! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! Chika has lost her memories and the Gourmet guild give her a place to stay. Nozomi comes to visit (GREAT ALL AROUND TANK WHO IMPROVES EVEN MORE WHEN SHE GETS HER 6 STAR!) Pukichi's consciousness is transferred to Chika. 'IDOL CHOP!' was awesome! Foggy the spirit has caused this trouble. Mama Saren arrives on the scene! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! MAMA SAREN! Very much an episode of two halves, this. The first half was absolutely terrible, by far and away the worst this anime has ever been across its two seasons. Thankfully, the second half was a drastic improvement, with a nice scene with Karyl and Pecorine and Yuuki seemingly regaining his memories at last (I thought maybe he'd forgotten again as soon as Foggy was sealed, but Kokkoro looking at him with concern after her comment about everyone going back to normal makes me think that wasn't the case). It's good to finally properly see Yui, Rei and Hiyori after the anime has teased them for so long. |

Also, are you able to spot Ayumi? She's pretty well-hidden this time. Totally agree that using mobage content was gutsy, but like you said I think they did it well. It was also useful as a tool to bring in Ayane and Kurumi. At this point in across both series we've now got introductions of every guild except Lucent Academy and (maybe but unlikely) Dragon's Nest (Twinkle Wish doesn't count). I except they should introduce at least Lucent Academy before the season moves onto finishing up the season story-wise in the last 4 or so episodes. Definitely excited to see what they do next! So many favourite characters in one episode. Love it how at the end Kokkoro says that everyone is back to normal next to Yuuki, who is closer to being normal again (getting old memories back) and at the same time the only one who is not "normal" again because he's got some memories back and unable to enjoy life like he did when he forgot everything. I look forward to Tuesdays every week. |

I'm happy to see both Chika and Saren being back once again. Chika has such a nice voice, and seeing her behaving like a toddler was so adorable. I can't help, but to be impressed by Ayaka Fukuhara's voice range. Also, Saren is freakin' gorgeous as always. |

A case of "Show, Don't Tell" on the anime's part, especially since we never saw such interactions nor did they explain it properly. They were adapting "The Christmas Carol That Never Was" from the game, which gave a clear reason as to why Chika did it, with the anime's writers probably trying to tie that here which still makes no sense as not everybody plays the game. Spoiler from the game: Chika has romantic feelings for Yuuki in the game, and she tries to summon Foggy and have it help her recover Yuuki's memories which was supposed to be her Christmas present for him, but like the anime, Foggy was actually a malevolent Spirit and things went bad from there. |

I find it ridiculous how they used more or less Chika's reason from the game in helping Yuuki here in the anime, where they are barely friends let alone interacted since her debut here in comparison to the game. How in the world did the writing staff mess that up? |

But still, they could have gave one more episode for Chika and Yuuki to bond. However if you want an in-universe explanation, this might be why: Considering that this follows from the bad ending to Re:Dive, the memory reset might have changed the personalities. Although there is some hints that their personalities and feelings are there. Tsumugi and Kyouka were originally Tsundere towards Yuuki but the reset might have removed all that baggage so they can be honest with him. Might best guess is that Chika still somehow able to retain her feelings for Yuuki. |

I am well aware of the game's lore and Yuuki's relationship with the girls in the actual canon as well as the first game's, so don't worry about explaining things to me. I appreciate it though~ I'm far more critical of why they decided to mention a non-existing relationship between the two in this timeline, muscle memory excuse aside. That's just dumb. |

The events aren't important to the main story, and are typically never even mentioned (almost as though they never happened). Rather than create a weird situation like this that doesn't make any sense for anime viewers, just... don't adapt the event? Do something original or move the story forward. The anime can be considered the result of a bad end for that specific part in the game, but the games main story is also just a continuation of previous bad ends. The girls in the game though still have the same personalities they did in the original game, and also in real life. There is no real reason why the characters in this specific loop should have different personalities. |

Another stunner in this season of PriConne. The tricks of the unbearable spirit not only caused a commotion in the tavern, but also showed Yuki his companions from a past life (a very touching scene). It's good that a princess that was running across a field of white flowers while carrying a capricious cat arrived on time to seal the intruder. |

While I agree that they needed to have at least dedicated some time to starting AND developing Yuuki's bond with Chika, the rest I don't agree with. Especially given that in every loop, the girls all retain more or less the same personalities. In Tsumugi's case, however, she still is in-character as the only reason she started being a Tsundere towards Yuuki was because she believed he was a suspicious person when she found out he was very close to Rei... despite knowing beforehand that he isn't. |

Minor pointing out of something here, but the Events, at least everything up to the Twinkle Wish New Year Event, is important and were implied to have happened in the game. Karyl, for instance, brings up how during the Gourmet Guild and Sarendia Orphanage's summer trip, Yuuki started behaving differently than he normally would. This was one of the earliest signs that his memories and old personality were coming back The Christmas Event that this Episode adapted was also true to the Main Story with how Yuuki and Kokkoro still lived at the orphanage with Saren, Suzume, Kurumi and Ayane, with the only time this stops being as such is, IIRC, during the second Summer Event where those two already started living with Pecorine and Karyl at the guild house Miss Karin provided them after proving themselves of deserving it. For added context, Yuuki was out buying groceries and decorations with Kurumi and Ayane for the orphanage while Kokkoro and Suzume were busy cleaning it for Christmas, meaning those two were still living in the orphanage when they would move out later at the end of Arc 1, where Event stories started to... fit less in the Main Story. But yeah, I agree. While I understand it's to also market the game and entice viewers unaware of that it's based on a gacha game, at least adapt the Event stories in a non-confusing way if they really have to. Both this and last Episode have shown how bad they can hybridize and streamline said stories with whatever original content they're trying to mix it with. Saku_k said: DarkEminence1954 said: However if you want an in-universe explanation, this might be why: Considering that this follows from the bad ending to Re:Dive, the memory reset might have changed the personalities. Although there is some hints that their personalities and feelings are there. Tsumugi and Kyouka were originally Tsundere towards Yuuki but the reset might have removed all that baggage so they can be honest with him. Might best guess is that Chika still somehow able to retain her feelings for Yuuki. I don't really agree with this take. The world in Princess Connect has already been through multiple loops. The anime can be considered the result of a bad end for that specific part in the game, but the games main story is also just a continuation of previous bad ends. The girls in the game though still have the same personalities they did in the original game, and also in real life. There is no real reason why the characters in this specific loop should have different personalities. I wholeheartedly agree. Especially since it's implied that this is ultimately going to be ONE of the failed loops that Yuuki lives through before he finally defeats Mana. |

Nozomi cheeks are so tasty, Chika had to take a bite. lol nice to see Saren again, she even look more beautiful now. Charlie being accused of taking advantage of a young girl. Then got spanked. I laughed so hard at the "not gonna leave his wife" part. just one thing confuses me.. Princess Strike cannot hurt Foggy because it is not a magical attack? But the thing that Nozomi did is magical, so it worked? I always thought Princess Strike is "magical", so the information in this episode is surprising. |

According to game, Nozomi and Pecorine have 0 Magic Attack, while Chika has 0 Physical Attack. So what probably happened is Chika's Magic Attack forced Foggy to materialise its physical form and Nozomi did the physical attack. |

LightSeeker5 said: At this point in across both series we've now got introductions of every guild except Lucent Academy and (maybe but unlikely) Dragon's Nest (Twinkle Wish doesn't count). I except they should introduce at least Lucent Academy before the season moves onto finishing up the season story-wise in the last 4 or so episodes. Looks like I was right about Lucent Academy coming next episode! . |

There's a new guild, Ayane's big bear stick looks really cute and it can talk. Also Yuki remembers another memory from the previous world. |

I was wondering whether you need to play the game to understand the anime after episode 7. |

At this point, I'm thinking we running out of our 24 episode budget, and we need Yuuki to undertaken some bad ass awakening where his current reality is just a dream and everything he has experienced so far is a fantasy illusion hes trapped in and needs to break out of to defeat something! |

The Game and Anime have somewhat different "routes" They use a lot of same events and materials, but the plot differs a little bit. Mainly cause Yuuki in the anime is meeting the girls one-by-one with Gourmet Guild instead of like the game where Yuuki met everyone within 1 month by himself. As such, certain events in the anime is play out differently than in the game. (but main plot remains the same) ___ ___ ___ Also, still love the "little kid Chika", she's so cute, LOL And Saren with ponytail is cute too. ___ ___ ___ And we also got more of Suffer Yuuki... it's so sad that he can feel, but doesn't remember... The true "Gomen Yui" is that Yuuki doesn't remember her. |

Hmm yeah feels weird having the idol return and she suddenly getting trouble. I honestly didn't even remember her much. As expected its related to the game matter. This is why sometimes anime only watcher can having a disadvantage when watching the adaptation of the game, or vn, or ln, for clear example. I even don't remember much if the orphanage loli already been introduced before. Since my memory kinda lost and pretty much like what they got this episode xd. But anyway, this is still a decent episode. More moe loli always welcome to my book, and Pecorine-Karyl moment was also so nice too there. Thanks to some of the comment above, i can somehow grab little about the reason of whats goin behind their action. Even if i honestly don't really get the basic continuity of this episode over the previous episode, but sure that's still fine! Episodic episode for the win! |
