KANLen09 said:The aftermath of Rengoku's death in the Mugen Train arc hits more than most, especially now that we enter the Entertainment / Red Light District arc.
The small filler leading to the new arc at the intro is so telling of the events coming up in this arc, starting from the Michael Jackson head honcho himself, Muzan, disguised in a kid form. I'd reckon that the Blue Spider Lily (the red version of that was prominently displayed in Season 1's ED), and that's part of reaching their ultimate goal of complete extermination of the Demon Slayer Corps. Akaza getting the brunt of Muzan's punishment is no consolation, and certainly he'll remember Tanjiro now.
Zenitsu is still pretty much a joke, but ar least he's more down-to-earth now because of what happened to Rengoku. As for Tanjiro, breaking the news to the Kyokuro Family of brother Senjuro and father with his insides still in pain, while Senjuro is still in shock, their father Sakonji instead was blaming Kyojuro for setting foot on the Demon Slayer Corps and wasting his life on fighting demons while being drunk.
What kind of father is this?
The thing is, the earrings which Tanjiro was wearing, apparently was the first
Hinokami Kagura a.k.a Sun Breathing technique, that against the former Hashira, could've stand no chance, and instead does his usual head-butting stance. The book of the 21st Flame Hasira Chronicle being ripped to shreds, and if it wasn't for that, Tanjiro could've saved Rengoku, even more so for Senjuro to become his
Tsuguro a.k.a successor. Either way, the damage has been done, and they could do nothing but weep, espeically for Rengoku's father whom hid his true self against Senjuro to bawl.
Haganezuka is back for more comedy and a game of tag for Tanjiro losing his Nichirin sword lols, thank God for Aoi to calm him down. The usual antics follow for training at the Butterfly Mansion, and everyone is more pumped-up, except for Zenitsu who stll needs the luring of Nezuko.
Some really nice filler in this segment to display the fruits of the training, and the highlight is of course, the flamboyant former Shinobi Sound Hashira Uzui Tengen that's kidnapping Aoi away from Kanao and the other servants for the Entertainment District mission. Good thing Tanjiro is there to stop him, and he's OK with bringing the 3 of them along. Slapping Aoi's ass is so unneeded lols, but it does give Uzui some personality.
Aimer's OP is as you'd expect, a banger.
Overall, a really great start to the Entertainment District arc. GleefulViolin said:There are many things I want to say but.. A question first!
Was anyone laughing when Tanjirou headbutt the former Flame pilar a.k.a Kyoujurou's father? Because I did, and I was about to cry from the insults that old man threw to both his sons. But that HEADBUTT! Lmao
As usual, the animation is stunningly breathtaking. I haven't read the manga (will do once I finish the anime), so every scene is new to me.
The transition from sad and heartbreaking part (almost 2/3 of the episode) of mourning Rengoku to the uh.. Hilarious and overly cheerful (flamboyant?) part of Tengen's attic is rather surprising, but not unwelcome. Because duh, it's Yuukaku-hen, so I expect as much.
Speaking of.. I don't think I'm ready if there's any ecchi, or sexual harassment in KnY (like how Tengen slapped Aoi's butt). I've been avoiding any shounen with ecchi elements *hic* but if (more like "when") that ecchi element appears in KnY, I gotta swallow it, right? *sniff*
About the OP, I don't dislike Aimer (duh~) but I haven't clicked with the OP yet.. Aimer's voice is very soothing, and since this is Yuukaku-hen I expect more energetic or mischievous OP.. Or maybe I'm just too used to LiSA's voice..?
I'm sure I'll like it in the next few episodes lol
Overall, this first episode of KnY season 2 is sadder and funnier than I expected. I love it!
That is ecchi to you? Oh, how low men got in this age... Anyway not much ecchi but consider they go to the whore houses district so there will be some . badabass said:Since this first episode unexpectedly 46 mins long, i can't help myself but turning my reply to 46 mins long essay too. Hope you all don't pay attention much to those....
Ah, right, the second season started off with how they want me to remember again how damaged that mugen train event to your feeling. Akaza couldn't find the blue spider lily, and get resulted by the anger of kid Muzan. Akaza must be regrets what he done previously xd.
Back to the cutie corps, idk why the scenes with them always give me a smile, because the next part kinda annoying with how Rengoku father act around them. Idc about his late sadness, because its really doesn't matter. Sad that there's no clear clue regarding of Tanjirou 'another' power, which kinda irritating because the whole point of the mugen train arc is suppose to gain that information.
Oh well, thats fine. Glad that the cutie corps back to cheer me again through my screen. But, after that, wtf, one shady man appeared and trying to kidnapping those girls? I know whats their role will be when hanging around those big man, because the next arc is literally the Entertainment District Arc. But, damn, never expect him to bring those cute girl out (whoever her name was xd).
At the end, ofc Tanjirou and the gang offered themselves to change those girl place. As the result? You can see how Zenitsu change much on the opening. Lmao. Oh yeah, looks like this can be an entertaining arc, despite the fact that there's a nasty demon lurking around, expect to see another wholesome animation again flexing by ufofable.
Sigh. Alright. Really looking forward to see the next....
Is Pleasure District not Entertainment district as in Prostitution alcohol and gambling not concerts and game conventions
