They finally found Eden.

Just what is this Eden for? And all those treasures, did all of those really belonged to Fena's parents or did they steal everything like what Karin said about those books being stolen from somewhere?

The way they hid the island is just too magical that it was quite unexpected from this anime. I guess it is possible because of the witches.

I don't think Abel is that bad of a person. He does have the right to go to Eden since Helena told him to go. But his ways were too antagonistic. He could've told Fena all the truth about him and her mom. But I guess Abel does hold a grudge against Fena cuz of the messed up past. Then again he still orchestrated the Hope incident. So, there will have to be a fight.

The OST in this episode were amazing.

One is the Ark of the Covenant, that is the ark God commanded Moses to build (Exodus 25.10-22) and where was put the stone tables of the Ten Commandments.

It was the most important treasure for Israel and became lost, probably, at the invasion of Babylon in Jerusalem.

The other I couldn't recognize.
OHHH its like things thats actually real?? sick !! im not really that familiar with these stuffs but do you think that its related to whatever "eden" is ? or if what he found was leaning towards something good or bad ? :o thanks !

Yes, at least the ark is real. Since Karin stated that place had treasures from all the world it makes sense that the ark was there.

Being both a biblical treasure and biblical place, the Ark of the Covenant and Eden is related somehow.

As Eden was the place in which there was the garden where God walked alongside with Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:8), the Ark of the Covenant was where God appeared to the high-priest of Israel (Exodus 25:22). So both are related to the presence of God.

Inside the story of the anime, I don’t think they will connect both someway to unlock a secret or power, if is that what you want to know. Shitan was probably surprised because he must know that they are very rare lost treasures.

I don’t think they are trying to portray the biblical Eden, but just borrowed the concept of “lost paradise” that Eden has and used it, adapting it to the story of the anime. Although, some concepts are very similar.

As the Eden in the Bible is the first place on Earth that God has lived (Genesis 3:8), the Eden in the anime is "the land of the gods” as Yukimaru said.

Fena said that the Eden was “the place of both the beginning and ending”. In the Bible Eden was also the place of the beginning, since was there that God placed the first man and woman (Genesis 2:7,8). Eden will also be the place of the ending, not the first Eden which is lost, but the New Eden: the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:9-22:5) which is made of precious stones and where lies the river and the tree of life. The place where those who have their name written in The Book of Life will be able to live with God. This time forever.

But we will have to wait until the next episode to see how they will really depict this place.

Fantastic episode. The mysterious worldbuilding on the island felt like the creators put a lot of care into making this anime. That dancing scene was just the cherry on top. Comedy was on point too with everyone remarking on Fena and Yukimaru’s awkwardness around each other.

My only worry is if they can fulfil all the arcs and characters they’ve been building up in these final 2 episodes. That is looking like a daunting task, but the creators have shown themselves capable of doing that so far.

Love the DDR password there at the end. Overall really a stellar episode though. The stuff with Fena and Yukimaru was cute, and the Bonito Gang's reactions were also great. This show has been ramping up, I'm really intrigued to see where they go with the ending.

If they pull some BS ending like Fena is the new Eve and Yukimaru is the new Adam and they are meant to now be the ones to start the world anew in Eden with all the lost treasures and knowledge of the past to build a better future I'm going to lose it. I hope that isn't what this is leading up to.

That episode was enchanting, both visually and the music. The story is also gripping. I love this series, it's gotten better as it's developed. If it finishes as strongly as this episode, then could be a perfect score anime for me.

Kajiura's OST is so glorious and the sequence with Fena dancing was indeed pretty alluring to see. Such a shame the way in how this show is solving the main mystery makes little to no sense. Not to mention the lazy asf plot convenience that is Fena "mystically" knowing where to go and what to do exactly.

I'm getting some Zelda atmosphere from this episode, from seeing Fena doing all the puzzles. Yukimaru was chilling walking.

As much as I like this anime (visual, music and plot for most part), I stiil think that it would work much better as 20+ episode series. Everything is happening to fast for such mysterious plot IMO.

Very nice write up. One I would be too lazy to write lol. But I'm surprised at how many Biblical references are made in this anime including Abel (who in the Bible was the second son of Adam and Eve and was murdered by Cain his older brother). Also Abel outright quoting Bible scripture.

Normally when Japanese reference the Bible it's simply iconography but here they have integrated it into their plot. Of course, in the anime this is not really alluding to God but simply using it to convey the beginning of time, a long varied history and a "magical" place.

Still all very interesting.

Thanks! I was surprised too with the references because I also tought that there was only going to be a lost magical place using the name of the same Biblical place, so the references started to pop out.

Since Fena is an anime with some american cartoon vibes, that may explain.

Now with the end of the anime we now why it was called “the place of both the beginning and ending”.

Very true, I touched a little on this in my post for the final episode where I also said despite all the references it doesn't stick the landing because they ended up resorting to Shinto Buddhist beliefs. Overall, this was just an ok anime for me but it was definitely an experience watching it knowing about Christianity.

I was telling my friend about it and I mentioned that anime is popular than ever and a lot of people enjoy and sometimes we forget that this another culture producing these things with their own view of how they perceive religion.

Never expected this would be the show that would get me to speak of this topic on an online forum lol

Wow, one of the most amazing episodes I've watched in a while! I loved all the cute and silly moments here and there, perfect for lightening the mood!
The last scene was just breathtaking, the animation was beautifully done, the song fit perfectly and the contrast between Fena dancing and the army invasion was *chef's kiss*!
I wasn't expecting much of this anime, but so far I'm enjoying it soooo much!
