| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Now it's the dance team of Hiromi, Nagisa, Nodoka and Ao to take centerstage for this episode. Wondering what their unit name is, and it's the combination of Hiromi and Nagisa's idea: Splasoda, from their love for soda drinks. Just like Suzune and Rena being at loggerheads with one another, and then unsurprisingly taking the internet by storm, the 4 girls can't afford to lag behind. Ao was a track-and-field person before it all became mundane to her, and Selection Project gave her another chance to do what she loves, so there's that. Hiromi's dance routine is quite extensive, and Nagisa rebutted at her for trying too hard. Oh well, another Suzu-Rena-like drama while Nodoka manages to separate both of them. Pretty interesting to see the backstories of the dance girls: Ao's a track person, Hiromi's often treated as a tomboy while missing the point to "be herself", Nagisa's more down-to-earth for supporting her single parent family, and Nodoka's just like a sales and marketing person to promote her Hokkaido roots, whom her stamina isn't the best. The drama that Hiromi thought that Nagisa "apparently" skipped practice a.k.a ran away from the group, but she's training in secret to keep up with the rest. And their performance reminds me so much of Bushiroad's D4DJ, if it was entirely focused on idol music alone. Still though, these performances are wicked good for PVs (that are actually down-sampled and released on Kadokawa's YouTube channel after the episodes air). Also, the CGI done by DandeLion is quite smooth, better than I remember Akanesasu Shoujo having subpar quality. Well, Splasoda earned 99.8k Yells, well short of the 100k goal. Maybe earning more Yells through fanservice? Of course, you cheeky brat Nagisa. On the other side, the instrumental team of Shiori, Akari and Uta still can rest easy, and they also do have their own troubles as well. But it's their turn next week, and their performance will seal the fate of who's moving onto the next round. Learn to be yourself. |

| so yeah, it's their turn to perform after Suzu Rena, I feel that this dance is quite strange, I don't like how the dance animation. The training was quite inconvenient which it was clear they had to put in a lot of effort to put on the best dance on stage. Just wanting to do something alone is hard, and thanks for senpai valentine choco. After all, this show quite boring :") |
| They should use Suwawawa as their unit's name. lol Splasoda is a good name though. It sounds dazzling and refreshing. BTW, I'm waiting for Nagisa's services stream. ;) adding vid |

| I have to say I really like the overall atmosphere and the character interactions in this show. That "Fwshhh" would have been a pretty hilarious unit name. xD Nice, colorful and energetic performance. :) The CGI was once again very fluid and beautiful.  |

| Even though Hiromi in this episode is quite annoying, but I felt her by not losing at any means. Just like when you think your other group members hinder your progress but you're the one who's left behind. Love that the ED song changes slightly, this time it's Hiromi's the one who start the song. |

| As expected it's the focus on the dance team now Splasoda is a pretty fun name since they're all fan of soda, of course they all suffer of personal problems and they're searching their own identity etc etc bullshit like that who cares, their representation was pretty good I like their song, it's frustrating that they're so near to get 100K but still didn't get it, now we'll see the instrumental team and of course they seem to also have their own problem inside the group :S |

| Yea this is basically idoly pride season 2 lol and I love it. I’m glad Hiromi and Nagisa were able to work through their issues and use their differences as a strength. Splasoda is the perfect combination. |

| I did not really like their outfits. Well, they managed to get 99.8k yells and they still have around 2 days. Can't wait for the last group. It's a close match but I guess something will happen which will make the three team win together or something cause I don't see any of them losing atm. |

| Great episode! Seems Ao was originally an athlete who did track but switched to an idol career after she wasn’t improving. The team performing this time are Hiromi, Nodoka, Ao and Nagisa. For some reason I’m not really a big fan of Nodoka however xD. Hiromi really hates losing and is the bossy person of the group. We got Nagisa’s backstory as well who seems to be quite a lonely person and has a dream of being someone strong enough to live independently which is why she decided to become an idol. Nodoka only applied to the program because her mother thought she’d be good as an idol and has too much of a food addiction xD. They only got 99.8k yells however and have 2 days left to get 100k. Nagisa suggested a fan service stream to help them get yells xD. Pretty good episode. Looking forward to the next episode! |

| Fun episode with Splasoda, they were bubbling with tension just as their name suggested~ Totally would've loved Nodoka's group name to be used though- It was nice to hear the reasons as to why they all joined SP, can’t wait to find out the band group’s reasons Also, 200 more yells away, Splasoda will totally get them ^o^ Such an energetic and colourful performance though, and tension building between the band group, lets see how the first round ends |
| We finally take a break from Suzune and serious much Rena to the quartet dancers, or as they call themselves "Splasoda". Just like any group, they face issues and problems, with the perfectionist leader practicing for a perfect dance. We see how they entered Selection, and yes each have their own stories to tell. And even though all of them didn't connect with each other first, they managed to pull it off and needs to receive just 200 votes to enter the next round. I can't believe I'm trying to say something here to shed good light on this episode, but it ends off feeling as just a "by the numbers" solution to a basic group problem. Eh atleast it's better than the last two eps, and hey next one is focusing on the musical trio, guess that'll be more tense. This ED is starting to grow on me, the song is that good as well as this anime. Things are finally taking off for the better, and if there's only one thing I have left to say is that the main girl Suzune is the least interesting part of the cast ughhh. |

| Nagisa's stage outfit, the clothes, glasses, hairstyle... quite interesting to be honest :D i want to like Rena, she looks great and is probably quite talented, but damn, 95% of her lines are "you're too nice, we're rivals, don't fall during performance" and that's getting annoying lmao the last team waiting too long, like they said, unless their performance is super good and they instantly get the 100k, they will have no time to get votes later lol i mean, Nagisa's team already talking about fanservice to get the last 200 yells, i'm interested :v |

| oh fuk I thought Rival-chan would be the only backstory for a while but straight away we get Tomboy-chan, Sweat-chan and Quiet-chan all coming in with their sad stories. Though idk if you can really consider them backstories tbh, felt too brief, would definitely like to see more of sweat-chan's one though that one seemed interesting |

| Did someone say fan service? I think Nagisa already gave us some nice service, those glasses are fantastic looking on her. Very bright and colorful performance at the end, did come with quite some hurdles though, but to think they actually got that close to the 100000 votes needed... Rena is on repeat once again this episode.. |

| wasn't totally sold on the CG last week was thinking it looked decent but now i'm fully on board it looks great more focus on all the characters this week has them growing on me ,was feeling Nagisa was hiding something under her cute vibes but she seems to just wanna work on her own and not follow with the flow i can respect that music in this is great but im starting to think maybe they won't actually cut any of them? at least so soon |

| Splasoda is a fun group and a great name. A few backstories came and I thought they were all pretty solid and I like the attempt to make everyone seem like they have a reason to be there and not feel like random filler The performance this week didn't disappoint either |

| Two groups down, one more to go. I hope Uta's group makes it through as well. I know the panda said that there has never been a first round without an elimination, but I think there's going to be an exception here. |

| Dance group looked more tense up by the pressure they've got after seeing the singing group already pass the group round. But, the way they are solving their own problem seems pretty much take a wrong turn. So they need a third wheel to make it done, Suzune. The backstory of them felt decent enough with how the story progress. Not that strong, but okay enough to be the reason behind their action. Though, as i said before, after taking Suzune advices wholeheartedly, and seeing each other effort to pass the round, a nice conclusion finished to form. Splash move, cherish all-around, closed their ultimate dance performance with a decent amount of yells. 200 only left yells, like a little buble in the middle of a great ocean. A fan service stream might be an overkill. But, i am still looking forward to it xd. What about the band group consist of Mama, Master, and Mistress? A strange composition, i'd say. But, who knows what kind of greatness they show, next, right? |

| This episode was focused on the dance group, i like to see that it isn’t all just about Suzu and Rena, and the episode turned out really great too. I like the theme of their group as well, being soda, as a fellow soda lover myself (also rent a gf soda Ed) and their song was very fun, I think I prefer the one from last episode more but it was good still, CGI still looked really nice too. I will say it was kinda silly for Nagisa to hide herself on the roof and not tell anybody, but I did like the resulting scene where they came up with the name and got their groove back so I can forgive it. Now I’m interested in this fanservice stream they’re planning. Also the band group’s lineup is reminding me of Motörhead, we just need the bass player to be the singer and we’ll be perfect, and they should also do a cover of “I Don’t Believe a Word” lmao |
| Their dance performance is cute, as always, but not much tense from the first one. (Sorry, Suzu-Rena is still my favorite. I don't know why.) This episode is great, though!! Things are not good to the third one. The pressure is on them. Will they made it?? |

| Nodoka's "fwshhh" suggestion caught me of guard lmao, that was hilarious. Pretty good episode! I like that each team is getting their own episodes focused on them and this episode we focused on the dance team. Nagisa was extremely adorable with her performance outfit, especially with the glasses. Honestly, they all look extra cute with the CGI. Even last episode, Suzune and Rena looked great in CGI. What kind of Godly CGI are they using. Suzune is just the sweetest, though Rena is not really wrong as well, since they are all rivals. But I'd rather be like Suzune if I were in a competition, or Ao even. Having fun is the most important part. Looking forward to the next episode, it's the instruments team this time. |

| Ah so the dance team is the main focus of the episode. Definitely liked this episode more than I was expecting when I saw the 4 of them at the start, though I can't say I really care about any of their characters that much. Based on the post ending scene, it seems the next episode is about the music group. Defintiely excited for that one. As for the cgi, it really does look great. The only issue I really had with it is their expressions look slightly weird to me |
| 1. Drama: noticeably forced, unnoticeably resolved. I mean we never saw original dance so how can we understand what 'individuality' means there. 2. Fizzy drinks are bad for singers. And bad for sports. 3. Splasoda — gattai I never asked for. All other names were better then this 'compromise'. |

| Love how Nodoka tried to keep the peace with snacks. Good to see their reasons for participatinig. Their outfits during the performance reminded me of the Fanta Girls XD. One more performance to go and with only two days to go?! Guess we'll be seeing what they have in store for us next time. On another note, man oh man, the CG dances are spectacualr and doesn't cease to amaze me. Idol anime CG has really stepped up. |

| excellent episode. Much more screen time showing the idols, and less screen time on the panda and other side characters. This feels almost like Love Live now. Was so entertained, actually watched the episode three times today, because my ears did not bleed from the panda voice. lol 5/5 episode and score increased to 7/10 from 6/10. Keep it up. |

| Oh well, I seem to be among the few who didn't particularly like the vibe of the CGI. The national sprinter tomboy is my fav for now, but I'm not sure I'll keep watching. |

| What a really nice performance! I liked it even more than last episode's performance! Their outfits were so cute. ;o;; The girls in this group are a lot more fun to follow. o3o They're trying. Good luck to them! At least Suzu has been supportive of the others. That's a plus. |
