Honestly it has two things going against it. It's an isekai and while it is amusing, it just isn't that impressive. There's not much that makes it stand out besides the usual "isekai+1 gimmick" setup. most shows this season haven't been that impressive.

Keep in mind I do like this show, and 7/10 is above average. (The mindset that if it isn't a 9 or higher, it's trash has got to stop) but yeah. I'd give this and most other shows this season a 7

No idea, a lot of really good shows are getting very low ratings for some reason

Night Head 2041 is one of the best shows of the season so far and its somehow a 6.5. The CGI is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen.

Battle in 5 Seconds is a 7.15 even though its very unique and psychological. They have mind games and manipulate each other. The mind games remind me of Kaiji/Death Note.

I think the point is - MAL ratings are a terrible indicator of whether a show is actually good or not

Its a fun show to watch and does have a unique twist on the isekai genre however it isn't anything too impressive or as good as the top shows. No hate on the anime, I'm enjoying it a lot but i think that's just the reason why it's not rated too highly and also because there's only 4 episodes so the score will change overtime

Mann I tried making similar threads last few seasons only to know that people normally don't tend to see a certain show from the point of view that you do
Soooo----,let's not jump to any conclusions and accept that scores doesn't mean shit,all you seek in a show is enjoyment....score is something people decide on later

Coz just 4 ep in,u really can't decide what's the worth of a show

Just from last season,Tokyo revengers and odd taxi had scores near to 7.1-7.3 after 2-3 episodes
Odd taxi ended with an amazing 8.8 and Tokyo revengers is at 8.3 rn

There you have it,scores are subjected to change and your opinion can't do crap to change it.....if a show is good,it'll eventually rise in score
Black company is a cool anime but I can't say for sure if it really deserves an 8 or not, coz u know 8 is a pretty high score for any anime on MAL and just 4 episodes aren't enough to decide it's worth

Let's wait for it to finishhhh

To put it more accurately, MAL ratings are indicator of the tastes of majority of users. All things are subjective in entertainment, and peoples rating can composed of many things that they weigh differently from others.

For me example I prefer Black company over Tsukimichi, yet Tsukimichi (isekai also 4 episodes in), stands at 7.5 right now. The reason why I prefer Black company comes basically down to the MC personality. I don't think it makes Tsukimichi worse anime, my taste in MC just tilts the scale of enjoyment to Black company's favor, for someone else the exact opposite might happen. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that most like Tsuki MC over Black comp MC.

I havant seen either of those shows but yeah MAL ratings are a shitpost, but I mean I don't see OPs point here, the show is definitely a 7/8 so far, it could probably be a 9 if it ends well, but MAL ratings don't work based on a pure average of the shows ratings, look up the calculation, a 7 is pretty good

The score is fine. For some it's an enjoyable show, but I don't think it's anything super special. There are plenty of great anime within the 7-8 range.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I mean, the anime got really bad debut in the first eps. The first eps literaly show how bad Kinji's personality is. Of course everyone hates that. And they didn't even continue the series without knowing what the series actually are. At first I also thought this shit was bad but after eps 2 it's getting better

Imo, a 7/10 is the average. Considering 7 is just "good", I rate most things a 7. I usually only shift it if I really feel strongly about it or somethin'. Like if I'm not vibing that well, 5-6/10. But if I really like it, 8-9/10. Aka) above or below

I've no clue where the direction of the show is heading in. He wants to make money but was practically killing off his workforce. Sometimes stupid is funny but so far it has just been stupid. He will even do more stupid things and earn cash and then lose it because of a certain loli, what a great goal...

I think what he means is that it’s a low 7 in truth I think it’s should be closer to 7.50 at least but it’s 7.12
