| Damn. I was not expecting Adam to turn around and smack Cherry with a skateboard because that was brutal. He probably broke Cherry's jaw doing a move like that. I guess that's why Adam didn't want to skate against against Cherry because he wasn't interested in him anymore. I also knew that Cherry relying on the Carla AI to make calculations for him was going to bite him in the ass one day and he paid the price by skating against Adam. Reki gave up his S pin, but I hope he is not done with skating because he has a lot of knowledge on skateboarding and he can use that to help Langa fix his board. Reki needs to get out of his feelings insecurity and jealousy. The OST really shined in this episode during those flashbacks. |

| Langa winning every match he's in is unfortunately making this anime feel predictable. I am starting to feel like he's an overpowered character to the point that his matches have no suspense. I know what's gonna happen, he's gonna win regardless of whatever trick his opponent has, and it's tiring. I don't like the amount of screentime dedicated to Adam's tragic backstory either. Regardless of what happened to him, I don't find him a likable character (as a villain or otherwise) and giving him a sad backstory does not change this. I must ask why Reki is being pushed off to the side so much when he was once a primary character? If his side of the story gets a conclusion, will it just be a rushed footnote? Will it happen solely for Langa's gain because he needs a new board? Will Reki's trauma from being injured and creeped on by Adam be ignored? I sure hope not. I am sorry to be so negative, I am just disappointed in the direction this show is going. It was so fun and unique during the first few episodes, I kept an open mind when it got darker, and now I'm in too deep to abandon it. Here's hoping the next episodes give me more of what I'm hoping for. |
| what the hell. hitting someone w your board? i was not expecting that one cherry and adam had a thing in the past or was that rlly just friendship? langa and reki had some great moments of friendship in this ep - langa enjoying skateboarding again after seeing reki. finally developing reki so he doesn't wanna be a support character. very good episode!! |
| I thought we would have Reki back by him supporting Langa but, alas... he left. Dude, that smack! Poor Cherry, Adam is absolutely insane!... But then again... he IS absolutely insane and he was raised in such an hostile environment but he looked so happy as a kid, so I wonder what happened and what Tadashi meant that it was his fault (ngl Adam is the most interesting character for me) Also, everytime Carla says "Ok masta" I feel the urge to say out loud "Let's kill da ho!"... | The way Cherry dodged that ‘cringy hug’ was so cool. What Adam did wasn't right but when he said it's boring to skate with Cherry, it's understandable since that AI board is kinda cheating. I want Cherry to fight Adam with a normal skateboard. Joe VS Langa was really interesting to watch. It was full of tricks and stunts. That stunt that Langa did, he literally just jumped off a cliff. Is that even humanly possible?? And when Joe was balancing with two arms, is that possible too? Everyone who knows Adam wanted him to lose. He's like Toudou of this anime XD “I heard it with my ears. The clanging of wedding bells!” whatever Adam says makes people go “kimochi warui” and the actual person its directed to is just → (• . •) What Reki is feeling is realistic. So it's better to be fake-nice with those friends who you don't like because they're too good at something you aren't good at. Langa is so good that it annoys me too. I wanted Joe to win. |
| I truly love SK8 from Episode 1 to 7, but Episode 8 & 9 kills the show for me. Joe power technique thingy is so funny and exaggerated, I know.. I shouldn't look for realism on this show but it's too much T----T I like the episode of Langa's first time skate scene, skate boarding already looks so cool on that episode but the exaggeration of the skating now is not enjoyable to watch!! especially on Adam vs Cherry scene. IT'S SO STUPID!!!!! and they recognize it as a win for Adam???! LOL it's not!! he smack Cherry with the skate board!!! THAT'S TO STUPID!!! they're so cool in their high school flashbacks and then Adam became a violent creepy maniac now! To Reki (whom I thought is the main character) slowly fades away.. what's his role on this show anyway? :( I will probably dislike Langa if he will still compete with Adam!! I hate it already! |

Cherry Bloosom's fall looked nasty though. Yeah, but in the end Adam won by just physically assaulting Cherry, way anticlimactic IMO. I know we have already seen other use explosives as a way to win, but using the skate as a bat in in other level. Ep 10 opens with a resume of the first episodes, makes me remember how well thinkered were those episodes. In turn, this last one didn't make any good impression and seeing them race in the same hill over and over is wearing thin. |

| Adam hitting Cherry in the face with his skateboard SHOCKED me. I knew Adam was the 'villain' of this show but with all of the flashbacks to his messed up past and the exploration of his complex character I was not expecting him to break Cherry's heart like that. Poor Cherry! He was trying to get back a long lost friend and Adam hit him with the reality of the situation in the most painful way. I mean how was that allowed? What a nasty move, he should've been disqualified for that but... he very much makes the rules of 'S' so I guess not. I will begrudgingly accept it but will not forgive him for that! Also this angst with Reki and Langa is stressing me out! I just want them to make up :( Langa honestly did nothing wrong, but I can see why Reki would be frustrated in his position. I blame Adam for making 'S' toxic as heck with his arrival, if not for that I think Reki and Langa would be in a much better place at the moment. Then again, anybody could've made this issue crop up and I'm just hoping that with time Reki will come around and realise that he is being unreasonable to Langa, someone who sees him as such a close friend :( please give us a reunion in the next episode! |

| Langa's race was great and he even won because of that Reki is even more depressed than before, I'm starting to get annoyed by him, please just stop being depressed because of skating skills... At least the Adam - Cherry race was quite interesting especially to see more of his past with his friends but I was surprised how he destroyed Cherry's face like that, now he's really injured, that's too bad, and Adam is still targeting Langa which is creepy, I wonder what will happen between them at the end, but now what I hope is Reki to be cheerful again and Adam's drama to be resolved, I'm looking forward to seeing what can happen in the next episode, nice. |

As to why it doesn't happen often it's probably because if they were going to fight hand-to-hand that much, there wouldn't be much skating. |

| Ahhh T^T It was hella sweet of Reki to defend Langa from the other skaters, a lot of people never do that. And I totally started crying when Reki yelled out Langa's name huhu T^T Idk why man..I hope I'm not the only one that cried in that scene. I thought the beef/battle between Langa and Joe was pretty cool. And awww at the way Langa got sad when his board broke :') Like F, I probably would have started crying (it's broken like our current friendship ahhh T^T). I totally get Reki feeling frustrated, and this whole process. I really do like that they show that it's hard to get your thoughts/yourself together, and that they didn't just magically become friends again just like that. I wish we could have had more scenes with Reki, and more insight into what he is thinking and why he left his pin. I wonder if her saw Langa's board break, and when Cherry got hurt by Adam...this would have just served to increase his worry and fears for Langa, going against that crazy a** hole. And what the f*ck did ADAM do!?! I was speechless...he needs therapy. He really doesn't give a damn if he permanently injures or kills someone, even his old friend. Like, they could have pressed charges...if it weren't an illegal race I guess. But that was messed up. I wouldn't even want to continue to go watch the tournament. He needs jail time...(sorry since we don't know everything you went through...but you still do). On a lighter note: Joe and Cherry looked really good when they were younger too. I love Cherry's piercings ^^ <3 !!! And the way he was saved from falling in a smooth manner was cool/cute (it reminded me of Reki and Langa). Adam looked nice when he took off his hoodie and said that Cherry and Joe were special. |

| Despite Cherry Blossom and Joe bantering all the time, they're true skate bros. Good for Reki for speaking up for Langa and his admiration for him, still. Then cheering for him as Langa looked lost and sad. Langa just needs his best friend there for him to pump him up. So sad when Langa broke his board saying "It's not good if it isn't this one." Then poor Reki just doesn't want to skate if it isn't alongside his friend, though. He doesn't want to just be in the crowd. Cherry's skating is so sick. Adam, yet again, is so awful. Also, Adam needs to just stop "wedding bells" "eve"? No, dude, stop. |
