Ngl I really liked this final episode, it felt different from the rest of the episodes like it's way better. I am assuming game master has many forms and that loli is just one of them, if not then I honestly like the loli form lmao. The new player seems cool too.

If this episode is an indication of what's to come then I am kind of looking forward to the 2nd season. Overall I'd give the show a 6/10 but, if it's this episode alone it's an 8/10.

While the concept of this anime was somewhat interesting, what was displayed was below average. Yet, I'm happy I managed to reach the end. This last episode was way better than the usual and gives me some hope for season 2. Hopefully this episode was not better only because the 2nd season is coming .

Outstanding show. In terms of character development, it is one of the best shows I have ever seen.
I really don't understand how it can have such a low score.

Blonde guy will be joining the party in 2nd season. I'm so hyped I can't put it in to words

I didn't expect the game master to be a little girl. It was a very dark ending, and we already have the second season next year.

So I'm guessing we will get "Kahabell x Yotsuya moment" that people were talking about in previous episode discussions in next season?

Personally I liked this anime, especially when studio was trolling.
Story clearly was setting up for character development that will try to diverge from other isekai and edgy isekai. We see how story will land next.

Good episode, 7.5/10 series. (rounding up)

I can see from the current score and comments that the majority of viewers are something similar to those of Shindou's friends in the episode's Burger Prince scene. 3:D

Could you elaborate more? Maybe clip of that scene?

The comment was presented such that perhaps someone, after finishing the series on a positive note, wants to comprehend the source of one or the other oddly strongly worded comment in this thread. To dissipate the fabricated friction.
The ~30 sec scene is at around the 17th minute mark.

This ainme was a big surprise. I was mostly watching it to fill time because it seemed the typical generic anime genre, but turned out to be more interesting than I expected. I'm glad he didn't got stuck in the "oh no I killed someone" for too long, I hate that stuff

Didn't love the return of the edginess of episode one, but for whatever reason I'm giving the show the benefit of the doubt that it's self aware. There's no way "Every single person who's dumb enough to be tricked into killing deserves to die" so soon after saying his murder was a mistake isn't on purpose. I don't think this was a great show at all, but it's funny seeing people say this has a substandard plot for an isekai when unlike so many of them it actually makes use of the genre to have their original lives be relevant instead of beginning and ending at an excuse for exposition about the fantasy world.

Anyway, think I'm just barely invested enough to tune in for season two.

The story has the potential and was somewhat unique with the bizarre parallel worlds thing but it was not consistent in keeping my interest. Especially the 4th quest arc which was quite boring to watch and it took up many episodes. However, like most isekais there was no explanation about many things.

The main character Yotsuya is what makes this show different(in a good way) from the typically overused Isekai protagonists. But the other female characters were quite annoying and there was no real companionship between them and the protagonist. Like in the last episode they all became distant with Yotsuya instead of helping him ease his burden or guilt just because he killed someone believing it's virtual reality. Honestly, the story would be better without them if the death thing wasn't such a big deal.

Hmm, tbh i think this show was the peak of average.. It doesn't do anything extraordinary, the characters are kinda bland and the concept is something already seen before, and yet i still found some sort of enjoyment in it (mostly during the last episodes). Animation was subpar, hope the 2nd season fixes that. Am i hyped for the 2nd season? Not really, but i'm a little bit interested to see the direction this will take now that Yuusuke found out the truth about that game world/is coming to terms with his present circumstances.

5/10 average as average can be

We need to have an Isekai catagory. More than half of the reviewers use "isekai" as an excuse to bash the anime. I'm sorry that people who hate "isekai" don't like this anime because it is an isekai; but it is equivalent to hating a "slice of life" just because it is "slice of life". Just dumb.

The Game Master is a kid?! Looks like she created an evil being, Yotsuya turned even more antisocial and not valuing other people's lives unless they might be useful to him.

No freaking way!! How does the worst show this season get a renewal for a second season? There is no way this show is actually doing well in Japan right? Clap clap, props to really exploring the psyche & backstory of each player like this. Yuusuke started as that weirdo douchebag, and developed into a chunni self-aware of his brand of 'justice', so far down the abyss the GM had to inquire.
Overall, maybe some annoying characters, and subpar art, but everything else made a fairly unique isekai with mystery plot, & layered tho not always likeable characters.
The specific game mechanics that often challenge the players, and decent osts were definite highlights.

So, he basically is believing that human life doesn't matter if you're stupid enough to get tricked? That a nice take and he admits he is being delusional for his own justice. This leads us to the title itself wherein by the end of the series, he will have killed that many soldiers in the parallel world. Yotsuya, Shindou, Kusue, and Yuuka have shown changes towards their speed and strength when it comes to doing basic things in this world. They've also adapted to being unfazed by hearing news about deaths and shootouts which is not surprising given their trials and turbulences in the parallel world. However, out of all the four characters, it seems the game master is becoming wary of Yotsuya due to his descent into darkness slowly, but surely. New member incoming for next season. Dude looks decent. Well, the finale to this season was interesting at the least.

Probably the best episode in all honesty but the previous 11 have been a mixed ride with most failing to get me engaged.

Yotsuya's struggle was pretty well handled but the whole fight scene was kind of meh. How convenient it must be that they can transfer a portion of their abilities from the alternate universes, although I reckon it's just more of their brain and body adjusting to it rather than any "real" transfer.

Not sure if I'll stick around for the 2nd season but let's see what July's got it store for me.

I've learned after watching this anime adaptation that women are useless for seven episodes, NPC died for no reason at all and maleMC had to drag their asses to the goal, every single time.
It's like watching an anime about League of Legends or your favorite Multiplayer game, someone has to be the carry and have to (literal) carry all of the bad players to win.

I didn't hate it, I give the anime a good score of 7, just to prove how author got some balls to get those facts in his anime

Kusue aside (Bless her heart) I don't care what happens to these characters. I won't be sticking around for Season 2.

This anime should have been cut down to between 8 to 10 episodes. Ep went from 8 to 7. The series held it at 7 till about the halfway point, Then jumped the shark and was a 6 for a while. The increase and increase and increase in Recaps and stuff to get the episodes to be 23 mins per ep along with the bad writing of the main plotline [The writers lost interest in their main plotline and it's clear the studio ran out of animators / resources] dropped the series to a 5 and a 4.

Considering they really did put some effort into this. And they really tried. And it's watchable. Believe me I've seen some absolute soulless cash grabs. They actually tried here. They tried too hard in some parts and this kinda worked against the main story narritive and tone of the show.

Without the obvious challenges of producing a show through covid and quarantine and stuff I'd like to think they could have produced the show they wanted to and got a solid 7 to a healthy 8.

The parody was great when they gave Log Horizon a turn for the spoofing, Yuka had her best episode. She was hilarious, But they were struggling with the budget and the animators to animate as seen in the frame of Yuka's mouth on the side of her face in her Shoujo Anime / Dating Sim / Log Horizon Parody Episode.

Part of the reason the monologues repeating the same thing said already in the previous episode and the episode before that kept re-appearing in the closing episodes was they clearly didn't have the animation. They couldn't animate any fights. The snow monster White Screen. Next Frame. All laid out to rest. They were doing so much stuff off screen.

I guess there are going to be a lot more 'The Title Of The Isekai Is A Sentence!' type anime to come.

The voice actors had fun working on this [Both Japanese and English] and so did most of the production staff most of the time.

Edit:

Final Rating 4.

This MC's personality is much more twisted than I was expecting for your standard fare isekai. At least he owns though that he's not some saint and is just some dumb kid with delusions of grandeur. But why does the Game Master keep coming to him with these secret tasks? Is he trying to reform him or something? Slowly nudge him into making better choices and becoming a better person? Is there something significant about him in the future? Maybe involving him standing over a million lives... but why does this god-like being care so much about it?

Ahh... Looks like I've finally met a tolerable Isekai protagonist. This one was average for me... Or I would be saying that if it wasn't for the female characters not being damsels in distress. I mean, capable female protagonists in an anime, without being guys in female clothing, IT ACTUALLY EXISTS?! Seriously though, I gave this one a 6. It would have been a 5 or 4 if not for the last episode saving it from Harem-King syndrome. Will definitely wait for season 2. Tolerable enough to finish but mediocre enough not to love.

Wow, WHAT a douchebag loser. "I hate people, but now that I killed someone I feel bad about it". First did they seriously want to make a character that 90% of people watching didn't like? What an unlikable thing to say, that sounds like something the dude from Redo of Healer would say, or a school shooter, not an Anime like this. I keep thinking and hoping he'll turn around, and he seemed to ALMOST get there, and then he says that and I lose all hope that he'll ever be a likable character. And fhe ending just capped it off, he is an irredeemable scumbag who doesn't value human life EVEN though he was freaking out over killing someone. IF you don't value human life, you don't care. And if they somehow make him suddenly value human life he's still the same trash human. And why does he cry over a tree? He cries over a tree but doesn't care about humans?

Is he likable At ALL in the Manga? Because I seriously looked at him as an edgelord douche from the internet who tells people to kill themselves. The ideas are interesting, but he is the LEAST likeable MC that I've seen in an Isekai, I'd take OP and plain over only caring about yourself and thinking a tree(what was up with that?) is worth crying over but human life is worthless (unless he says so). Honestly I bet if you read a columbine journal it would sound like some of the stuff that came out of his mouth. I am intrigued by the alternative world, and WHY on earth they would choose this kid unless somehow he's involved in something good or bad in the future of that world, or his descendents are like maybe the gamemaster is his daughter/granddaughter or even further? If it wasn't for me wanting answers on that I'd never keep going

First of all, he's not that kind of character and I think he's a lot better than the plain isekai character. Atleast he got a personality that's different. For me if a character can makes you think something different (or that character able to make you hate him/her) it means that the author simply makes a good character. Also the alt world is still kinda vague even in the latest chapter. but I can say that the story is getting better by a lot, that's all.

I don't necessarily want them to be plain but you want them to be LIKABLE. Someone who only cares about himself, leaves his party members behind, and coldly states that humans are basically garbage and should die is the farthest thing from likable. Honestly he could be in another Anime as a villain with the exact personality and nobody would blink an eye or question it in the slightest. He's our protagonist we're supposed to want to like him in some way, and from the reviews there are a ton of people who agree and absolutely hate him. Being negative and not caring about human life doesn't make him a good character it just makes him sociopathic, at least to me. I have no issues with a character with flaws, and it can be good as long as they get character development and start to get better as a result of their experiences. His logic skills are really good, and they get better, but I really wish his personality would get better. They kept making it seem like he'd develop, but he goes through an entire season of 'development' and by the end of the season he's just as shitty a person as he was in ep1 if not worse because we didn't realize how little he valued human life(or that he still feels that way).

Everyone not only in anime have their own perspective so i cannot say much. But by judging from your words you havent watch s2 or read the manga dont you? I suggest you look further first. Bcs u cannot judge the character from the first season since the first season is basically just a prologue. If you're saying that he's a bad person, then how about vindland saga Thorfin before the farmers arc. He's even worse than yotsuya
