| They had a really fun time at Whale Island living the country life, appreciating Mama Mito, and reminiscing about Ging. It's a good thing that this was a Whale Island episode that actually wasn't a recap for once. With the mysterious box finally being opened with Nen, Gon had heard his father's voice for the very first time! |

| A very wholesome episode. Mito-san is too sweet and Gon saying that she's the closest thing to him as his mother was really adorable. Also, we got to hear Ging's voice as well. |

| Hmm they changed the past of Gon's mom it seems compared to the 1999 version. Here Ging and Mito are cousins and not implied lovers and Mito isn't actually the sister Gon's mother. Instead it's now unknown to us at this time who she is. Was fun seeing Gon and Killua's friendship and Mito being praised for what she's done for Gon :) |

| There was a feeling that I couldn't find the right words to name when I heard Gon call his father by his name. Maybe it was like Gon finally considered Ging as just another member of his family (like, he didn't really care about Ging being his father anymore). The tape was kind of scary to be honest because it didn't sound like a recording but more like a phone call. It was like Ging knew that the Nen in the box was broken at that moment and he "answered" when Gon played the tape. Anyway, I loved this episode. Killua seemed to really enjoy the warmth of Gon's family :") Mito-san now has two adopted children!! |
