if this was supposed to be a movie about kids vs adults / generational war then they haven't done a good job was all of this all worth in the end? 7 days of them stirring up shit in the media, possibly ruining the image of the school they attended, deploying so much workforce to capture them; and what for? the girl still moves in the end and the thai immigrant is returned back, they've just delayed it for a little bit also dunno if it making an immigration issue statement, but the most unexpected moment of the movie was the fucking yuri development lol |

Through a chance, a young immigrant, the children become rebellious, but those children end up growing and becoming adults in essence.... The best, the scene of confessions, some incredible.... Anyway, it is still an average movie.... 5/10 |

I was surprised about the Yuri I had a feeling that Kaori has feelings for Aya but I did not think that Aya was in love with Kaori I thought that she had feelings for the MC good plot twist though I would like to know if Aya and Kaori actually started dating but that is not confirmed at the end of the Movie |

Being a Japan-only satire novel for 35 years since, after watching this "movie" (if you can call it that), every extent of the "youths vs. adults" rebellion mentality is true, but even adults in corruption (and adding in the social media innuendos), I'd felt like this could have been just an hour-long (or 3 episodes worth) movie, all otherelse though, can forget about it. As a youth that was once trampled in these young adults' lives before, the communication was exactly that, and the only good thing to come out of this movie. It's really "OK Boomer" the movie, NGL, full of cringe (but it's real). No plot whatsoever (the title should already be the foreshadowing to it. but only rescued at its final stretch) and, none of the character exploration, and very flat emotions of youths whimpering and changing their future by their own hands. Safe to say: it's a bad (not even decent) movie (that NO ONE should watch), lots of misses but no hits. And this is coming from a former youth-turned-young adult that was once rebellious, and knowing the in-and-outs of adolescence. Now I want my 90 minutes back... TomatoSempai said: Well, this meme definitely fit the satire feel this movie had going for it, sadly the only thing it can be recognized for.bastek66 said: The cringe is real.ANN-sjw named it "ok boomer" the movie https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/seven-days-war/.154401 anthi-light said: Welp, the Yuri undertones. Such a nice adventurous they had there. Interesting to pack all the scenery at the 7 days war into like that. Begins with naives Mamoru who think he can bring a good birthday party to Ojou-sama, using an abandoned factory as their temporary base. Eventually all thing get worst when a mysterious kid come out of nowhere to destroy the whole party. Yet its still a fun-ride, using the strategy of real war to make such a stronghold on that broken factory. The great war between Mamoru crews and the adults of Satomi starts. Heck, everything not go smooth. So much shit happen. The adults had so much power to control the first day situations. But somehow they can managed to survived, using some old trick to make the adults team surrender. Thanks to Mamoru great strategic plan to prevent more lost. Another day begins, on the morning everything got a pretty intensed moment. Suddenly all of the previous incident got viral in the net. Thanks to Mamoru's great ideas again. The adults team need to be serious. The war got pretty intensed using some master of the construction of that old factory to found other way in to the fortress. They did it. Mamoru mental state got lower, since he found out his crush had another love beside him. The crews losing up theirs half power. Fortunately, lucky moments appear. The contruction team fail to success the mission to capture the Ojou-sama. Mamoru heart now seems ti pretty strong enough to survive his broken heart after the rejection. Somehow, the kid was trying to give a support to Mamoru, big hints appear on this moment. After the failure, the construction team back to their teams, the leader surrender and fall back too. Another day got in and out. At last. Some serious matters happen in the next day. The adults team not try to push hard the crews fortress using some heavy weapon. The nearest side of the fortress got crushed. The ex broken factory, now become a fortress, got more damaged when the day comes in its limits. The crews almost fall down too because Honda (one of elite member from the adults team) great strategy to make a propaganda among the crews in the internet. His reason was valid, to take down the crews mental statement. Thanks to the data they had with the crews profiles. Now the crews in the danger situations, all of their information got leaked in the net, and their action got bullied over the viral content. Honda plan succeded in no time. Their thought got separated. Mamoru must think another solution because the situation got worsen. The fortress get more damaged in the middle of the storm. The adults team once again trying hard to catch the mouse in the fortress. All crews fall back to the basement, even Mamoru and the kid hide in some bunkers. But again the natures save them from miserable destiny.... (watch it by yourself to see what is goin on after that. Im too lazy to even write the next step. However, Yuri scenes got its place reveal in the end. And the lovable loli girl reveal her self true identity too to the audience, make this show watchable to waste a time. Yet, its shocked, but her last moment to Mamoru, seems really cute! ) Yeah, its some great adventure. Using a war statement as a metaphor to handled the Shounen high-schooler classic typical action to compact well enough on that show. Its premises felt nice. The art and animations was okay. The soundtrack was nice to listen. And this show get my full enjoyment. To the final scores, it might take a 10 for this show. However, since the MC got unlucky to his love live, unfortunately, i might only give this show only a 8 per 10 max point. Damn, that brown little girls, really be my favourite character, breaking down my first Ojou-sama, because she just interested with her yuri lovemate. Damn show! Hope its had a chance to get a continuations in the future. Just a low hope, as usual.... |

Man I really loved this anime. I liked how they rebelled against her father in order to warrant some change or something. I really want to write a review for this, but I suck at writing and I don't know what words I should use for it. For some reason, I feel that it's very relevant to what's happening in America now. How many people are going against what's corrupt and trying to change it for the better future. Though this anime is still less important in terms of this issues it tackles against what's happening now. Ok so going back to the movie, I understand that you'd need to restrain the illegal immigrant, but then punching the immigrant, who is still a child??? I'm sorry but the immigration workers need to fix how they work. Also I'm still pissed at the secretary who decided to leak their pictures on the internet. It was for them to break? Well he just ruined their lives like it was nothing. Even if it's fiction, I hope he's able to fix it somehow. Not like we'll get a sequel for this movie or anything. Edit: If anyone can find any of the live action movies (in English subs) or the translated original novels or manga, please message me... I've been looking for half an hour but the only things I keep seeing are information on the anime movie... ty |

YOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAMORU WAS NEXT LEVEL SIMPING THE WHOLE TIME JUST FOR AYA TO ANNOUNCE SHES LESBIAN OML. IMAGINE LITERALLY ASKING A GIRL TO RUN AWAY WITH YOU ONLY TO GET YURIZONED LOOOL But my god was this some pure cringe. And not even the good kind this was just complete awkward cringe, especially that consecutive confessions scene. Had to actually take a break from watching just so I could regain my composure And I know this film is supposed to be dur hur adults vs kids and the adults were all goofballs, but dayum did I not like a single one of the main cast. Except maybe Souma he was alright. Saki I don’t even know why she was there in the first place, gag chara? Rest of the characters were just plain annoying, none of the potential ships were even that good. Honda was literally the best (and only good) character in the film It’s a shame apparently this is a lot different from the novels because this clearly didn’t leave a good impression. Oh well at least the art was pretty nice I’m surpsired none of the kids got any negative repercussions for the actions that they did. Y’know, like potentially injuring the cops/workers on numerous occasions, threatening to blow up the fukin place. You’d think they’d get at least some sort of reprocessing for.....doing literal terrorist attacks. “Oh but they’re just kids” yea ok 2/10 easily the worst film I’ve seen :P |

Well this wasn't the movie I was expecting but it wasn't bad either. You don't see Yuri confessions that much in movies but I guess that's more usual now? Pretty interesting and nice movie in general I did quite like each character and the way they opened up to their actual feelings. Morale matters aside, this was a pretty fun watch. Not a bad movie by any stretch but, at the same time, not great either, just about fine. I'll start with the downsides first. As hinted above, the morality messages from the movie are a little twisted in a few ways. Our main character and co. not reflecting back on the potential crimes that they accumulated and seemingly getting away with it due to "youth" is a little dubious in all honesty. Our main character making up this whole plan and come up with highly effective plans but then getting yurinoed at the end of the day was a little dampener during those emotional moments, lol. But, that aside, I liked the whole idea to strengthen their bonds during such a crunch time. As a whole, though, some of the other characters, such as the childhood friend of the megane lad, were very forgettable and had little to no real purpose, I felt. Secretary-san revealing their identities to the net was a seriously crappy move, though. Well done destroying their lives... On the flip-side, the art was really good and the animation fine with little down lapses here and there. Sound Department was a job well done though and the insert songs very fitting and a great company. I've seen a lot of complaints above on how apparently the movie was "too boring" and, to be honest, I didn't think at all. If anything, I would've appreciated a little more time at the start to flesh out a bit of the developments instead of throwing us right into the factory. Plus, some of the drama resolutions felt meh as a result of the short timespan too. Malet, a girl? Hey, at least our MC got a loli, am I right? xD, totally didn't see that coming. Final moments with the Politician finally demonstrating a glint of fatherhood was a nice addition, too. As such, I'm going to settle with a 6/10 here. Story & Characters were average-to-fine, Art+Animation & Sound Department very good and Entertainment Value good so a 6/10 seems appropriate to my experience. |

Felt like Home Alone with the kids trying not to be caught by the adults. Suprised to see Aya reject Mamoru and actually be in love with Kaori. Fine movie with the friendship where kids be kids but not much reasoning on rebelling. I can understand Aya with her stubborn dad prioritising his job. But for the others I really needed to hear their motives. Like Malet would've been safer with the immigration bureau imo instead of some old dangerous factory and the adults possibly losing their job would be bad financially. At the end it didn't feel like they achieved anyhting out of this with their lives made public but at least they had their confession scene (not much character development). |

@KANLen09 I have a feeling that at first Okuchi just wrote a school yuri, to which he added a male POV and links to the original novel to sell it as a new adaptation. Otherwise, I just don't understand why we had to follow this guy, if in fact this is a story about lesbians leaving the closet. As for the movie itself ... Well, I would compare it to Korra's Avatar. When initially non-LGBTQ content suddenly shifts the focus to "we're now a show about lesbians" so dramatically that it literally overshadows everything else and becomes the only thing people remember about it. In Korra's case, it was justified in its own way, considering the authors' past poor decisions, but why was it needed here? It could work as a romantic movie or even an LGBTQ message if the girls were originally the main characters, but due to the misplaced emphasis we were actually deceived by the seemingly obvious take of this story as "a boy saves a girl he likes", after that such a twist looks like silly yuri NTR, or artificially remove of actual romance from the recipe, as if friendship end made the film's events more meaningful. But no, it won't become a friendship movie just because his inherently romantic motivation hasn't paid off. For some reason, many contemporary writers have come to avoid real romance unless it is a "special" romance like LGBTQ or interracial relations, that is, appropriate for a political statement. Otherwise, they think that romance just only distracts from "important topics" in the plot. This annoys me terribly because if there is no actual romance on the show, people still take it for shipping and end up caring more about romance than anything else. It just doesn't work and does the opposite result. bastek66 said: ANN-sjw named it "ok boomer" the movie https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/seven-days-war/.154401 Typical ANN, what else can you say about this? Now I understand better why they were complaining about the fake social message in the movie, but now I wonder why Frog-kun ignored such a strong yuri bait. @jd2001z It's funny to compare kids fighting bad adults to stupid kids who obey Biden and a former strict prosecutor lol. However, this perfectly shows the danger of cheap populism. |

Finally watched it, took a while for me to actually watch this since from what I heard from people this was boring but color me surprised I actually found this movie a lot exciting. It was really fun to watch some high school kids rebel against adults. All of them were pretty likeable, didn't like any one of them specifically. The tactics Mamoru came up with were quite amusing and the revealation part was quite touching. Lol so Aya was in love with Kaori all along, poor Mamoru XD. The biggest surprise was the fact that Malet was a girl, damn didn't see that coming at all. Mamoru got himself a loli, surely oneday she'll grow and they'll reunite. Pretty fun movie overall, enjoyed it quite a bit. |

This was an exceptionally well done movie in terms of directing. It's simple, but it flows so well - the visuals, the music and the characters are engaging and they never stop for a moment. It's the kind of movie you need to see through the eyes of a kid. Like they said, one of their best quality is they never give up on what they think is right. It made me remember my childhood, all the things we've done together and some of then may have been stupid, but we never once doubted that we're right and the grownups are not. An important realization, which they didn't say out loud, was that Honjou was wrong when he said the internet exposed the truth about each of them. Under the circumstances, those were lies and the real truth came out through the bonds they formed together. The picture with Tamasurade, which I assume was from the student protests from the late 60's (she didn't look that old though), was a nice touch. Especially in today's apathetic world it's important that young people fight for what they think is right. They might not achieve what they set out to do, but they can still change the world in some capacity. The only place this movie stumbles in - and unfortunately falls right flat on its face - is the romance department towards the end! To pull off this kind of bait & switch, the movie would need to have an entirely different structure and a longer runtime. I'd really love to rate it higher, but I had to call bullshit at this point. |

After reading the entire discussion I realised that a lot of people missed the meaning behind this film that the creator wanted to give to us : - Obeying to the rules has become a norm in our current society, 7 days war showed us childs that rebelled themselves against the adults that only comply to their orders (They've lost the "justice" they had when they were childs). These kids have seen through the little girl something more important than the rules, this is also why glasses-kun decided to rebel as well even if his future will be destroyed by his actions. (for him, becoming a lawyer would have cost the happiness of a little girl that did nothing wrong) - And more importantly, the fact of being true to ourselves. Nothing is more important than being true to ourselves in life, otherwise why continue to live? 7 days war showed this perfectly with the declaration scene and the fact that the secretary has rebelled against his boss. He has been working in conditions he didn't like but complied to the rules because he is supposed to be an "adult" . He has seen through the childs something more important than his job : which is to be true to ourselves. For me this film is a 9/10, it reminded me of that "justice" we all had when we were childs, some things are more important than the rules. Of course this is my personal opinion, if you disagree with me I would like to know your point of view. |

Well I came into this with low expectations, but in reality, the film eclipsed my expectations and turned out to be quite enjoyable. Good quality animation and the detail of the mine and machinery was enjoyable to watch. The notion of a bunch of kids pulling a stunt like this seemed absurd though, but there were moments of genius among the idiocy. Oh well, at least their hearts were in the right place. |

Film that amazes more for the quality of the backgrounds and the close-ups, these have captured my attention, than for the story, told not too quickly and not too verbose. The problem itself is not the plot but the characters who fail to be convincing in their interpretation and seem to be forced in their interactions with others. The story also has some good twists, one of which even managed to displace me, but perhaps it also lacks a wrong choice of timing, the fault of the director or the screenplay, who knows! Character design not very nice, sorry, not very valued, but the animations were just fine. Summing up, the potential was there, but it wasn't exploited well. For now, since I have made a fairly superficial examination, I will give a symbolic vote based more on my first impressions than on a reasoned thought. For now my vote is: 2/10 PG, story 2/10, backgrounds 3/10 = 7/10 |

I'll give it a 6 because I like the part were they confessed their true selves to each other. The rest were fine too. |

All i could think was the genre, it said thriller and i watched as i anticipated someone would die horribly accidentally or the imigrant turned out to be a killer on the run etc. I picked this up bcs of that damn thriller genre but turnout to be a classic drama about life. A bit disappointed tbh😞 But the movie itself is not that boring, i didnt expect the plot twists at all haha and quiet fun. That shota turned loli i disapprove veru much :( |

i assume that the lady at the end of the movie also went on an adventure similar to mamoru and friends, but it's really throwing me off because i thought that i missed a series/movie starring her and her friends when they were kids edit: it seems she was from the original novel according to another user in this thread?? |

Believe it or not, gays don't *need* a reason to exists. They are implied to have a close and romantic relationships throughout the movie. You are only surprised because you had your het goggles on it was clear that the two girls had something going along with Aya and the MC. But it's revealed that he was looking at his crush through rose colored goggles and so couldn't see the clear development between the two girls. Anyways the Yuri and straight baiting was probably the best part about this. The rest is okay, the movie was nothing special aside from that I would say. |

It was average. Premise was good but the execution and ending are so wrong. |

I actually liked it, I think I didn't enjoyed it as much as others cuz I am still a little young to relate to this "adult turning" thing but would definitely love to re-watch this before turning adult. The ending was a little weird lol I didn't knew that Malet was a girl. |

I think you guys are too-old or too-young to relate to this movie so stop spreading the unnecessary hate. |

The only thing I liked about the film was the ending. In these generic anime teen movies that kind of thing doesn't usually happen. The rest of the movie, entertaining but not surprising. Just to pass the time. 6/10 |
