I remember when the first season was rated below 7.00 while it was airing and barely anyone talked about it. Glad it got the recognition it deserves. It is definitely the best isekai I've seen so far.

I had just finished watching the second season of Honzuki no Gekokujou and at the end, it hinted that a third season. I knew that there would be a third season, when livechart.me had announced that a third season, before MyAnimeList had announced it, would be airing in the near future. As to when it will be airing, I don't know, but I will keep looking to see when it will it is in the TBA for now.

Maybe it will be shown in 2021, but we would have to wait and see. For some people, the wait would be too long, but then waiting for an anime that anyone likes, is worth the wait.

I completely expected it though. The LN is doing extremely well in Japan and the anime has only further boosted its sales. No reason to stop.

If I'm not mistaken, the light novel the series is based on it's huge in japan, so I'm not very surprised, but belive me, I'm beyond happy

Show must be doing well in Japan since i'm not seeing too many viewers on the sites, really unfortunate because it's one of my favorite isekai's.

Thankfully, the show is rocking the top 10 list in Japan ever since season 1 and we get the pleasure of seeing it continue.

Yeah, so true. I forgot to post and share this one too. From the first episode, I was already hyped and I didn't even mind that some people didn't like it at first and dropped the show. The series started with rank like #4000+ and then slowly, it increased. It made me so happy and very proud! Haha. Probably because I kinda help the show by promoting in Facebook saying "IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE THIS SEASON". Lots of people got really curious. :)

Yeah, this. I was pretty confident in the season 3, given where the last one ended. But ooph, I hope we get more seasons. To stop at the end of the second arc would be cruel and unusual punishment

"Totally Unexpected"

I mean, the last episode ended with the words "The story continues." This doesn't really surprise me at all when taking that into consideration.

That sentence means everything and nothing.
Technically even without a following up with the anime the sentences holds true; the story continues in the LN and manga indeed, regardless of a new anime part being released or not.

Actually, given the rythm they're going at, the beginning of your spoiler (Part 4 in the LN) would most likely be season 6 or 7. I really doubt we'll ever get there in the anime...

Haven't started s1 yet, will s3 wrap up the whole light novel?

Not even close. The story is pretty long. There are 5 arcs of Bookworm
Arc 1 is 3 Books (Season 1)
Arc 2 is 4 Books (Season 2 adapted the first 2 of 4)
Arc 3 is 5 Books
Arc 4 is 9 Books
Arc 5 is 2 Books so far and still going

Basically, we have a lot of story to look forward to.

Now that's a healthy amount to go through, I see why they were so easily able to just announce another season so quickly

Damn. Maybe this is doing good in Japan. I was worried I would have to jump ship to manga permenantly. Or worse, the light novels(I dont like reading)

Glad to see season 3 announced soon. Just hoping it does not become like the announcement of AoT or OPM season 2, and comes out in 2025.

Since i was kind of spoiled a big upcoming event, can someone who has read the WN tell me if:

Also, will we see less comedy and more drama? or will it be balanced? or perhaps focus more on lighthearted tone and comedy?

lets say they do make 4+ season what season would probably show

A fourth would do that with the current pace (~6 ep/vol, assuming 12 ep per season ), and relatively early in the 4th season even.

Yeah, not unexpected. It is not a Light Novel series by the way, but a Novel series. As an example of what i mean, i am currently reading Part 1 Volume 3 and this volume alone is already 350 pages. There is nothing "light" in there. And the whole story spans over 27 volumes or somethig like that. I wish the anime would detail more some aspects of the story though. I like how more detailed the merchant stuff is in the books, even though it made me understand how much of a dimwit Myne really is during part 1. She is tricked so easily, that at some point they even stop trying to trick her, since she will do the job herself best. "Give me your price, i will pay", meaning i think "I am pretty sure she will ask for a price even lower that i would have dared ask myself, however much i want to ripp her off".

the "light" in "light novel" has nothing to do with weight/number of pages.
Some light novels are above 1,000 pages (ex : kyoukaisenjou no Horizon), many are bigger than Honzuki. Meanwhile ton of novels that aren't light novels are below 250 pages.

Honzuki is a light novel, and what decides it is the label it's published in; that label is a light novel label.

Whole story is 33 vol (6 volumes have yet to be published).

Ok. So it feels weird to me. Because it means that the difference between Novel and Light Novel actually doesn't exist. It is merely tied to the company which publishes it, if i understand correctly.

33 volumes? Could you please confirm this: Part 1 is 3 volumes, part 2 is 4 volumes, part 3 is 5 volumes, part 4 is 9 volumes and part 5 is 5 volumes i think. Which is 26 total. I had read somewhere that there was 27 actually. But i never heard of 33. Does the story continues for longer? Or is it merely about the way the books are bundled together?

Thanks for the guidance.

The "27 volumes" is about the number of already released volumes. The 27th was released about 2 weeks ago. But the story is not complete yet in Japan.
According to the author, the part 5 should end at about 12 volumes.

series is not complete in LN form yet, but exist in Web Novel form; so the author already knows how much book it will take to do the last part.
You're correct for each part's length besides the 5th. The 6th vol for part 5 was released a bit more than one week ago, and there is still 6 more to come after that, for a total of 12 vol for part 5.
Which makes 3+4+5+9+12 = 33, with 27 of them already released.
At the current rate of publishing, bookworm in LN format will be finished in almost exactly 2 years from now.

Many thanks, you two. I thought that both the web novel and the LN were finished in Japan. Indeed, i thought that having a last part of 'only' 5 volumes, after the 9 volumes of part 4 would mean that the meat of the development would be found in part 4, and that part 5 would simply wrap things up. So, it is pretty good news to me, since it seems that the author took all the time necessary to elaborate the last part, that normally tends to be the one that makes use of everything the series built up before. So, i wouldn't want it to be rushed, if one can call 5 volumes rushing things ^^

@daedalron Now that's some lovely info which even I could not find!!! Thanks!!!

@Zefyris Now that's some blessed 2 years!! and luckily the publisher is J-Novel so we definitely will get consistent releases.

@Nox-- I recently read P4V1 and boy was it juicy. It's the start of a new arc, new characters, lots of fun stuff. I just hope seriously that all of Bookworm gets Anime adapted, so I can Enjoy it 3 times over in different mediums. Also one of my main reason to buy the LNs in hopes it motivates the stakeholders financially.
This series has literally been the only one that I can rewatch multiple times(currently>4-5), I am a serious single time watcher, almost rarely would ever sit to rewatch the same series/movie content for the 2nd time.
