I would personally add gin no saji, honzuki no gekokujo, card captor sakura, puella magi madoka magica....After watching so many i just can't chose one.

At age 9, Pokemon, Digimon and Card Captor Sakura. Glimpses of Sailor Moon on english cable. Teen, School days. 10/10 wouldn't recommend it.

-My rating system-
I don't force myself to finish something that isn't to my taste. I prefer to put it aside, move on and maybe come back to it one day if I feel like it. So beginning a long anime is a commitment for me, and sometimes I take a break before starting another arc.
I usually watch anime while doing something else, mainly because my attention can't stay on one thing. So if the music gave me an eargasm, it means I wasn't doing anything else. The atmosphere is a complement to the animation and the character's feelings. When the music just blends in so smoothly it has done its job just right.
If the characters give life to a premise that would be absolutely boring without them and I wouldn't mind watching all of it. Determining if the characters had some development makes the story tenfold better. I highly prefer when characters don't narrate their actions. Most of the time it doesn't work for me. I can tolerate fan service as much it's not the sole focus of the show and doesn't ruin my viewing experience. I do not care for clichés at this point. A character doesn't have to be realistic to be a good one.
The premise is generally the first thing that grabs my attention when I want to watch anime. If the storyline doesn't make sense, I'm not going to bother with it. Worldbuilding helps to immerse me in the story more it could be with the animation, character's backgrounds, or simply music. Chosen carefully, it makes that piece fit nicely in a puzzle. In other words, it feels thought out. It's fun to see what people are eating in another dimension and where they are living, even if that's not relevant to the overall plot. Show it to me. Some anime doesn't have a story, that doesn't mean it's pointless. The same thing can be applied for predictability.
Animation-wise, I'm not the best judge. I try to go more by designs than movements. I have to acknowledge when the anime was release to not be biased. An artwork that was released in the 80s vs 2020s wouldn't really compare. Sometimes you can notice there should be more in-betweens and fluidity. I like when they are accentuating, exaggerating, and bending movements. The lines the animators create in battles make it seem they are moving, it's really cool stuff when you think about it. Otherwise, when I'm critiquing I don't care that much about animation unless it's stiff and not bringing anything to the table. It happens more often than not with backgrounds, sadly. Studio Wyeth make the best of them, though (they worked on frieren, chihayafuru and wolf children !) Designs are more interesting to look at since it is an ensemble of drawings that I can compare. Could this design translate any vibes just by looking at it that it's from this specific anime? if so, I could tell the mangaka and the studio did an amazing job.
Decisions from the studio can make a whole world of difference. The way they interpret the work and want to adapt it is important. The way they frame characters, casting the right voice actors, hiring music writers and sound designers, animating the whole shebang... Endings have repercussions on my enjoyment. Depending on the story it might be left open to interpretation, or have a conclusion with a bow tied on it. When they adapt their material, they rewrite parts of anime to fit the running time which sometimes can result in weird pacing since so much work is cram in one episode. They have specifics and become better with time, equipment, staff, and money.
Honestly, it's complicated to be mindful of all of it when I'm critiquing anime, most of the time, i just try to write what i like and what i dislike. Enjoying anime without worries.
-One of my unpopular opinion about anime-
We need better relationship examples in shonen-ai and shoujo-ai.
It pains me when another one comes out and it's still fanservice seme/uke.
-Best protagonist of all time-
I don't think he exists yet. There are good candidates but i would like to see what the future holds.
-Best antagonist of all time-
Griffith. not much is said from his perspective.
OH OH. Akemi Homura. They are nothing alike but i love her so much.
And Doflamingo is pretty much a cool villain. he got charisma.
-Recommendations to a beginner-
I would suggest a genre that would be in their comfort zone.
Not too long, with good pacing, not too many characters.
A series that's already finished. Something that isn't too niche.
Cells at work, death note, one punch man, sword art online, magi, anohana...
For someone that just searches for something to watch.
Go on MALs database and sort them by release date or title and just look at the covers. If anything catches your eye check it out.
-Anime character I can relate to-
I used to relate a lot to Aioi yukko. I've grown and i've evolved a bit.
Characters like the MC from Barakamon, Gin no saji or my roommate is a cat are the one i think that i relate the most now. I try to be the best of myself.

It really is! I'm glad someone else out there gave it a chance. It's a gorgeous series all-in-all. But your favorite's list is pretty spot on in terms of series I usually enjoy. Shinsekai Yori, Mahoutsukai no Yome, Honzuki no Gekokujou, Lovely Complex, CCS, Nichijou... I still gotta finish Violet Evergarden, Little Witch Academia, and Death Parade, though!
If you haven't seen 'em, you might really enjoy Natsume Yuujinchou, Ousama Ranking, Arte, and Fumestu no Anata e! If you enjoy anime similar to Skipbeat (which reminds me of Lovely Complex since they're from around the same time period), you might wanna look into Glass no Kamen or Kageki Shoujo, too!
we seem to have a similar taste in anime but i'm so sad you didn't enjoy the ending to Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda.! but all is well. I just wanted to comment saying it's cool how we adore a lot of the same series
