Another episode means another journey to another setting. That city doesn't look very civilized though.

Interestingly enough, there's also focus on the support characters like Nir. I also find it realistic how the show protrays younger teens, in particular to their more unpredictable nature.

RIP Lyde and Richie

It’s nice to get an episode focusing on the wide characters and fleshing out the world a little more. The last 3-4 eps felt like there was no set up going into them, that we’d just appeared at random locations and gone on adventures. This had much better pacing. That said, the overall plot still feels very muddled and it feels like the show’s regressing rather than progressing quality wise.

I’ve basically just accepted this show as a fun way to pass the time rather than anything with substantive plot

Bad idea from such a show to focus on a side character, even for one episode, felt like a waste of time because the next events are pretty obvious due too a poor writing of the plot (but it's not a problem when it's fun to watch), only 2 minutes were interesting. I hope the next episode will be focused on the main characters, as these episodes are much more enjoyable.

Best episode yet, could be even better if Lyde and Ritchie aren't dead. They're such a cute couple! And Ritchie is a virgin which is a great news for me! (don't know about Lyde though)

Just notice in the opening song there are 3 scenes related to this episode, Ritchie fall from the sky (probably the reason he died), Lyde cry with grandma (why?), and Ritchie punch Lyde (is this normal fight between them?)

It's really annoying and disappointing that the writers don't seem to understand any of the music they're supposedly paying homage to.

The pace of this episode was pretty good. Unlike the last ones, the story was not so confusing. It was fun to watch Richie and Lyde. I'd love to see more episodes with them. But I still have the impression they have no idea what to do with this anime.

Man the pacing is always so bad in this show. An episode starts out decent. Heroes journey to a new location and we start to meet some characters and get some world building, but then it all goes to shit when we get some random, nonsensical battle and then it's all over. Plus they kill these two kids off and I'm suppose to care or something?

This episode was a first for the series in the sense that the main characters do not appear at all and the episode focuses on the supporting characters, like Nir. I'm not exactly a fan of this practice because it often disrupts the flow of the main narrative but just this once, it helped it move forward and the episode was heavy on character development for Nir and the boys. The final scenes were especially poignant, not only because of the boys' tragic fate but because something terrible might happen to the main characters too. Both Nir and the viewers are left to wonder what exactly are the main characters doing while all of this is happening. All in all, this was a fine episode and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Interesting episode. I can see what they're trying to set up at least. Usual misunderstand type of deal. But it's kinda fucked up how that ending happened. Though it's not all too surprising.

Not surprised, just look at John Lydon in real life!

This episode was amazing, and easily reason enough for me to bump the score from a 7 to an 8.

Great character moments for best girl? Check!
Intriguing new developments about the world and the players? Double check!
Amazing references to the sex pistols? Double check, and double dead!!
Hype for an episode centered around The Who coming up? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP!!!

Seriously, from episode 3 onwards this show and its references have just been getting better and better, and I feel sorry for anyone watching it for anything other than the thrill of rock and roll.

An episode for side characters Lyde and Ritchie, assumingly (and probably) one-off characters set to build the world-building of the series further.

And Player Nir dropping in on the boys' reign for trivial stuff repairing her Equipment, and even maned her "Big Bro" like a boss (when it's clear that she's a girl, ONCE AGAIN emphasizing that gender takes second place in the story).

In the end, another Earless raid that reinforces suppression, and changes Lyde into a Player, but the ending though...what a revelation and a total shocker.

RIP Lyde and Ritchie, you've been citizens of "righteousness".

This episode...only links up Nir's interaction with Echo and Mu after noticing their pursuit towards finding lost Player Jimi Stonefree in Episode 5 (the school episode), and stumbling upon unknowns that have different thoughts with the same ambitions...to see a scene that is absolute terror (and no spoilers).

Damn now I really wanna know what happened with Echo and Myu, what's with those black eyes? Was she being controlled or something? And say, did those boys know Nir was a girl? cause it didn't seem like it. And then they just died! killed by Myu! Wat wat wat? And I only realised in this episode that Myu and Jimmy have, like the same uhm roboter(?)(what's it called again)
And whats exactly happened in that town anyway? I just wanna know what's going on.

Who knew the only episode without the main characters would end up being the best episode. Considering the series has been a slog up until now hopefully it keeps up the pace until the finale. Maybe then it will have a higher score. I'm legitimately interested in what's happening with Mu next episode

Another week of this season and another episode of listeners, and actually ... I liked it.

I would never expect to say it, but it's true, I really like this episode and I think one of the main causes is that we didn't see Echo and (or) Mu).
Yes, it may sound illogical once they are our main characters, but trust me: these 2 new guys, Lyde and Richie, were cool enough to make the plot interesting (they don't seem as forced as the other ones) and Their story, although simple, was also two of the main things that Listeners has tried to sell us: fun and with a rebellious spirit accompanied by good music (punk) (Coff coff Sex Pistols ... where?).

Nice episode and I honestly don't know what would have happened if this had been the main plot ... Maybe they would be the real listeners.

THis was probably the best Episode for me, Their bromance was better than what Mu and echo have. And their outgoing personality seems more real than echo's wimpy attitude.

Oh Listeners I really thought we were going somewhere with this, but you decide to give us an entire episode about a side character. Personally, I think Nir would make a pretty good antagonist now, seeing as there has been no clear one thus far other than The Sisters that we've only seen twice. Giving out this entire almost backstory like episode for why Nir now has a grudge against Mu. I very much look forward to see what they will do with her character overall. Other than that, this episode wasn't great, especially compared to the last one; two steps forward one step back I guess.

What the hell was that about antichrist? Was that kid trying to be edgy while not making sense?

Also that ending makes me think theres two options as to why mu is on jimmi's equipment, they've been cloning jimmi to try to make a weapon an mu is one of those clones or some shit happen, mu got a bunch of earless together to destroy those in control of london but they used some mind control tech to turn her around.

Well at least we now know how people become players.

OKEY

Now the anime is just like bringing all the characters whose lives were effected by Jimy
ohh wait...Lyde and Rachite are dead...RIP

This anime is pretty complex but this episode is smooth ,they did not just leave Nir with just an episode but now they have set her up for more .Hope they do the same with Denka and other characters too
This one episode had alot more story than any of the episodes till now (expect for the first ep)
But this might also turn Nir into an anti-protagonist(not a villain)
This show going in rather different way than expected

This episode was absolutely OUTSTANDING, holy shit i've enjoyed it so much. Finally, finallllllllllllllly we have proper pacing, it's not rushed guys, it's not rushed ;-; see, how good listeners can be. Actually connected to characters and even got attached to them, despite only seeing them for 24 minutes, how crazy is that?
Maaaaaaaaan it was so dramatic, i was in utter shock when Nir was saying how she will never forgive her and the sudden realization that it's their graves, arghhhh, it sent shivers down my spine. With the mom saying: "I didn't want them to be heroes, i just wanted them to eat my soup" T_T poor woman, she was so nice to them and cared for them like they were her own children, and to just lose them and never be able to see them again T_T
Btw just how poetic it is to die by the hands of someone you admired and looked forward to meeting? That ED hit hard too, seeing them again, Takahashi Rie songs are so great.

Really liked Nir that episode, getting her amp fixed and temporarily joining the main group, hanging out with them, having lots of fun (she never had friends, so i'm even happier for her), buying Christmas presents for her, obviously for the first time, shows how much she grew to like them and wanting to do something nice for them. ( later seeing those presents by the grave was so devastating)

The boys were so nice too, i liked both of them, and the part with Nir giving one of them a ride ( like a roller coaster) was amazing. And their relationship, haha what was with them calling a GIRL that's younger than them Aniki? lol, but that was cute as hell, Nir was visibly uncomfortable at first, but got used to it later. Honestly her reactions are the best, she never experienced most of it (by not having much interaction with others), so it was extra cute.

No way it's Miu, that's gotta be Jimi or some of the clone (i wouldn't be surprised).

The 2 things that kinda disappointed me is: 1) What was with them attacking their own city??? and then stopping all of a sudden? no idea what's up with that, but it sure is difficult to live in that world, imagine that happening nowadays, isn't suicide the better option? at least you take your own life, or run... no time to explain, just run.
2) He just became a player just like that??? so if i put my hands above my head, whine about assholes in the world and injustice, i'll get super powers??? yeah... not to sure, life is ruthless.
Apart from that this is a solid 5/5, my favorite episode

Btw actually no main protagonists this episode, how crazy is that? Usually it's them travelling, but we actually had some mix up, noone woulda expected it given how previous episodes've been...

Also, I like how despite being episodic and having it's own story, it still connected with the main story, by making Nir hate Miu and showing us what happened to Jimmi (or even if it's not him and Miu's another sister, it's still the main plot).

Actually, i realized that the theme back from episode 1 is back, the theme that if you are who you are, and you can't change that. In ep 1, the mayor would tell everyone that their fate to pick up trash for the rest of their lifes and that can't be changed, and in this one, their boss and the patrol would say a similar thing worded differently. So far Echo proved them wrong and the boys also exceeded what everyone else expected from them. So, no, you can always change your life, your birth place and conditions of your life don't matter.

What was that? The whole episode without their MC? Lmao, what a joke there. And the pseudo MC here just die like there was pretty ridiculous. Damn. So the cycle in these world was simple:
-> Human -> Earless (bad) / Player (good) / Dead (end).
-> Earless become an undead and must against - Human / - Player
-> Player s were a solid hero and must fight - anEarless or - Die / become - an Earless (if you lost your awareness). The destiny of the Player shall be to cruel for these world.
-> Dead -> Repeat the whole cycle.
Interesting and mindfuck. The factor? Nothing.
Otherwise, there is nothing to say about these whole episode.
Ah Nir, i forgot about him, uhm i mean her. Hello we met again! And ... Ofc, good bye! Thats it.

Another good episode. I'm not a huge fan of Not, even though she is cute. The guys really carried this one. Sucks that they died immediately. This show could really benefit if it just slowed down, but I understand the time constraints. I mean so far the only episodes we really needed were 1, 2, 6, and 7, so even with a shirt run, there's definite wiggle room.

Always annoying to watch a good premise be dragged down by bad/rushed writing, but these last two episodes are giving me hope going forward. I know we're going to get an "interesting" ending regardless, but I'm looking forward to what happens next.

Also looks like they picked the "clone" plot device. The least interesting one they could've chosen. I was rooting for Mu to be Jimi's daughter, personally.
