It's taken me time to get here, but this is exactly the lesson every human being needs to learn. Alicia actually is perfect. She's perfectly imperfect in the way people should try to be.

Any form of emotional retaliation, be it anger or simple scolding, is counterproductive.

I've always lived by the morals Alicia explains in this episode, and am always running into trouble with people who believe the world runs on consequences. Mistakes are their own consequence, the one who errs simply needs to be taught in a way they recognize their own errors. All punishments do is put up barriers, where people are only associating the problem with the particular repercussion, instead of what the mistake causes. If you break something, it's broken, gone for good, that's just common sense, but it needs to be cleaned up, it doesn't matter who broke it or who cleans it up, it just needs to be cleaned up.

This can even extend into situations like military where mistakes can result in death. Someone yelling at you isn't going to do anything, you're always aware. Everyone working together too make sure mistakes don't happen and that everyone can deal with the mistakes is the best way.

When it comes to child raising, it's the same. If the child isn't learning, then you're missing something as a teacher, it doesn't mean you swat them until they get it, cuz they never will. They'll only learn that "bad" actions result in scolding, they'll never learn what they're doing actually causes. I've known this since i was a child, and as you can imagine it caused a lot of fights because i was telling my parents that they were doing it wrong, haha.

Alicia is the archetype of the kind of people i wish to meet in the world. These are the kinds of people that can lead humanity to utopia.

I really enjoyed this episode. It's definitely interesting how Alicia admits how her method may not always be perfect and realizes the limitations of her method if it becomes ineffective. One of the things I've got out of Alicia's speech is to inherit the trait of patience when you're in the Senpai role. Alicia is a very patient individual if she can continue to smile and not scold despite Akari making many mistakes. If someone had very little patience then they would scold them so it doesn't happen again.

Alicia seems to get that teaching and learning is almost the same. Both have their difficulties and have ranges of success. I didn't realize that having a student succeed is also a success for the teacher, it makes obvious sense, right? This is probably a common trait within all those who teach others but the methods are all different.

Also, Alicia understanding that making mistakes is a good thing. The immediate reaction is to scold the person for them making that mistake. Doing this will restrict from being a risk-taker and limits their freedom, it doesn't help them grow in the long run and she understands this. By allowing that person to make mistakes, she doesn't scold them for their method of choice but more guides them towards a more effective/better solution or just lets them figure it out themselves and uses positive reinforcement. This method of teaching is definitely the most ideal, in my opinion, and something sorely lacking as of late today but I can see why it's not implemented too much.

Will this work for all situations? Heck no. Some mistakes can have too much of a consequence on people and those types of mistakes deserve scorn which is why I think Alicia admits that her method may not always work as people can still continue to make mistakes despite the teacher doing his/her best in teaching. But for other situations where the mistake doesn't bring a large consequence with it, this method is the most ideal and should be well-used. I'm pretty sure teaching is much more complicated and requires more understanding but having a different perspective is helpful regardless.

I really enjoyed the episode, funny and heart-warming. The end makes me think Alice wants to be scolded by a Senpai, I don't think Aika counts in this instance as they're on the same level. Still a nice episode.

"Please scold me".. That scene is really something, a great way to conclude an episode. This episode is one of my favorite in this season, not only do we get Alice's development but also get to know more about Alicia. The character interaction is presented in a very elegant way, combined with the delicate backdrop to emphasize the theme of the series as a whole. 5/5.

Does this season even have a mediocre episode ? Lol.

Alicia is truly the personified empathy.

Tho, I would love to see her angry just once -.-

Seriously, is it just Origination or have the previous seasons been this good as well, when watching them i've simply passed the verdict that it was okay, but Origination is blowing me away on some many levels with its subtle messages and interactions that didn't seem to be there before.

Fantastic episode, Kudos to Alice to even wonder bother to find out why Alicia was the way she was and Alicia's answer at the end to why she never scolded people was just wonderful.

Ah, look at their blushing in the end, so cute! The way Alice-cwhan wanted to be scold really fun to watch. I can't stand a single chance to really scolded her, so i understand how Alicia thinking about them.

But tbh, Alicia was indeed a fairy. She can't mad, even if she really was. Thats some kind of extreme level of kindness. Its really something you can't find, even in the real world. Lmao. Akari, you were so lucky to met her. And befriended with her. And became her successor. Damn, like Alice-cwhan, they were all still similar. Not just a coincidence if they met like that, is'nt it?

After a dedicated episode for Aika, this full episode with Alicia-san and Alice-cwhan really soothing. The way Alice-cwhan stalked Akari's life really amusing. Yet, with her antic comedical expression, it made this whole episode felt amazingly great. Afterall, Alicia-san acted as a great senpai. She gave a well extra lesson to her little kohai. The true meaning of pedagogy. The secret of Alicia patiences. The real reason of her sincerity smiles. Once again. Such a great allegory by Alicia-san. Full of moral lesson, as expected.

Fortunately, my beloved little kohai was smart enough to understand the feelings. Idk if that was Akari, or might be Aika. They would surely messing it. Akari, might be always said 'Ha-hi, Ho-he, Ho-ha' with her denial weird af expression which was somehow so fuckin cute. Thats shitness might be amusing, but to Alicia-san, its a pity for her. Or for Aika, it just surely happen to one sided admiration, without reciprocity, and contemplation of intent. Yet, her antic line of sentences might come to stop Alicia-san lesson, and ofc, Alicia-san will always smile. Another pity moment. Lmao.

I understand. This whole episode was indeed a surprise. Not just a secret lesson. But served as an addition infornation for me, how it worked well to her. Thanks my beloved kohai!

I personally agree with both trains of thought, Alice and Alicia, but I do understand how Alice's method may produce better and quicker results. Though, that isn't to put down what Alicia said of causing the people she scolds to become afraid of mistakes because, like we saw in episode four, that is a true problem.

Great episode where we delved into the minds of Alicia and Alice, the unusual duo.
