kissing experiment, huh. the formula for calculating the mood was so random and nonsensical lol. i do appreciate that they involve other cast members in their experiments now. tho this time they've skipped on two more iterations with Ibarada, which is kinda a shame since i find her to be the most entertaining character out of the bunch

So now they are trying the kissing experiment. Poor Himuro wanted that kiss so bad from Yukimura no matter what the mood was. We also get some Yuri bait when Ibarada kissed Himuro. This episode show that Himuro and Yukimura have a long way to go before they start kissing.

This is getting on my nerves.

It's f-ing unrealistic because :
1. Even people with high IQ or rocket scientists know about love or romance even only a little, and they can differ which one is science and which one is love. They are 2 completely different things.
2. There are absolutely no research groups in any universities in any part of this world would give a f*** about "love" as a topic of research

The author must be either a moron or someone who live outside this world.

I absolutely loved the set of equations they arrived at to calculate the mood. The best part was that it wasn't even nonsensical. The equations actually made sense and accomplished what they were intended to do. I think the equations were all independent of each other (too lazy to go back and check) which makes it kind of a trivial problem, but a more complex model could lead to a fun optimization problem.

How the hell did he watch this 3 weeks ago???? This man in the future?

"Two girl's kissing doesn't count" Senpai best girl lowkey.

This was probably the best episode so far for sure, genuinely hilarious. Wish it wasn't as slept on though, it's basically Kaguya mixed with Dr.Stone and does a great job of feeling original, keeping your attention and having a unique premise with the grad students instead of high schoolers. Much more relatable for me

Lol even the measurement of kisses is part of their project huh. More than anything setting and mood are more important for kisses than anything. The comparison's though were hillarious. Hmm despite her nature Ena sure can rather bold. Still the kiss experiments sure proved to be most interesting given the pair combinations that were used. Though Ayame did not get the kiss that she so desired that was one hell of a promise that Yukimura made to her though.

I like romcom and humour, but this is too much overdone for my kind of taste. And i'm a bit triggered because it makes "scientific" people look dumb when it comes to romance.

yeah, you're right. after a rewatch the definitions do make sense. the only issue given here is the unnatural simulation that ruins the mood formula, since the data is fetched from natural occurrences. it's a comedy relief, so no big deal anyways. they do a better job exploring that later on in the series

It's kinda obvious with the anime's synopsis where it pretty much told you what to expect.

How would you get feel offended by this? I mean; I'm kinda in the scientific branch myself and I can laugh with it? I honesty don't see any problem with it.

Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It reaches the halfway mark with yet another fine episode! The science group attempts a kissing experiment and, as we all expect, hilarity ensues. It was fun watching the different pairs attempt to gauge their own emotional reactions. I particularly liked the scene where Kanade and Inukai talk about working alongside a group of weirdoes. Still, despite these antics, or perhaps because of them, Yukimura and Himuro succeed in taking another step forward in their relationship. This is one of the best shows of the season and I can't wait to see what happens next.

(Kinda getting a few giggles out of some of the comments here in the forum, too! An anime that’s not “realistic” - wow how odd is that, because most of them are completely true to life! LOLOLOL)

Even kisses ARE WORTH experimenting on...for enhancing dates at the end of days, sweet...

But for males Yukimura and Torasuke, while they can't apprehend the ladies' feeling of Himuro, Ibarada and Kanade, at least the experiments are forming links to help both sides prove their "formulas". Even head professor Ikeda butts in to aid in their investigation and research into this simple, but complex topic.

THIS IS LIKE GOING OVER MATHEMATICS ALL OVER AGAIN!!! With the Probability Diagram and stats...

Especially to Himuro and Yukimura, any jealousy with the other sex would be asked, and Ibarada WENT FOR GOLD with how Western countries would offer kisses as compliments (and a lil' more), while the other complimented with their usual personalities.

FINALLY, with both sexes leads Yukimura and Himuro...it's like a full-on date, but with the kiss withheld for various funnily stupid decisions, it's like their Probability Diagram went from 100% to 0%.

Well, this was a fun episode! Getting better and better with each episode :)

I'd rather have had no yuri kiss followed by a homophobic line than what we had.
Seriously this line was so unnecessary and just ruined the mood without being funny or anything.
I hope they will make up for it in later episodes, especially since Ibarada was supposed to be best girl...

I imagined that the kissing episode would go down like this. There were plenty of delightful moments and a plethora of hilaroius antics.

However, in the end, Ibarada got her way.

She takes trolling to a new level... Ibarada even stole a kiss from Himuro. Nice.

The "kiss" of Kanade and Himuro was lovely as well.

What you mean the formula was nonsensical and random? It was the exact opposite of random amd nonsensical, they gave proper explanation and reasoning for the use of those formulas, of course it wasn't the absolute of objectivity, but it was totally reasonable and understanding, it gave the episode an proper experiment.

I initially thought the premise would get old pretty quickly. In a way it kind of has, but I still enjoy lots of the character interactions. The scientific analysis is also kinda interesting. They really went gung ho on that equation.

The contrasting scenes when they were first depicting the mood, like the muscle man appearing out of no where, were pretty funny. I do still think the series is going to have to show some extra development past the comedy before it loses steam.

LOL the equations thooo...

reminding me of my college days ( calculus ftw XD )
daym they were really makin difference equations for each component on determining the mood value for kissing experiment haha XD.

and the implementation was even more hilarious...
started with Ibarada stole Himuro's lips XD into different kinds of funny results for each teested pairing. then until the main star YukimuraxHimuro almost got the best mood those disruption(helicopter, the pace became darker, people interuption) came in hahaha.....

well, in the end Yukimura could only kissed Himuro's hair .. well they were adorable tho XD.
