The op and ending are good, but nothing can beat the original, personally.

An emotional episode, even if it was hard to see why. A lot of hidden schemes and thematic ties that extended the psychology of each character.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are.
That's what death is, don't you think?

Is that Shinra's brother Sho?? *o* I wonder how he'll react after he enconters his younger brother as a villain X( Just like Yin Yang.

Vulcan made some weird squirrel... the fluid just got out in the wrong side XD
He also impressed me the most after he showed the members of the 8th the wild life projected. I was stunned! So beautiful <3 that was some amazing gadget!

Great episode! The new OP is madness! So amazingly it was crazy *o*

The new OP song is lit and the visuals on the new ED look really good.

That Adolla Link scene at the end shook the shit out of me. My favorite thing about this episode has to be Iris on her casual clothes. She's so cute. That scene with the animals was really great.

You all need jesus, holy heck, the new OP is marvelous, 10 times better than the last one.

Anyway the visuals are kinda meh, still, OP 1 showed a giant Homura Bito that doesn't fucking exist lol.
Maybe it spoiled a bit too much tho... I mean they even shows the

Also my boi Victor appears. Interesting VA, while reading the mangos I imagined a completely different voice, a bit more mature, but I think this one works too.

Ok that scientist is weird? He seems like the character you'd suspect to be one of the bad guys but isn't in the end
And the whole Vulcan gang there are cool chars too. Especially Vulcan

I kind of expected Giovanni to show up when they talked about engineers idk why
Maybe because of his looks. He was an apprentice of Vulcan's grandfather after all
And now he's planning on killing him too.. Still don't get how Shinra awakened to this "spider-senses ver. foot"

Great episode! So it looks like Company 8 is looking to expand its team. But now it looks like they have a rat in their midst with their new scientist. I wonder how long he'll be undercover? We haven't seen Joker in a while either. But I am glad Captain Hibana is still around obsessing over Shinra.

Vulcan looks like a badass. I really like his character, he seems really cool and genuine. Also, hot damn is Lisa a total babe.

We were also reminded in the most clever way that the world of Fire Force is a desolate one. The first hint was them trying to figure out what an elephant looked like. Then Vulcan used that machine, and it's clear most of them have never really seen live animals, blue oceans, and green forests. That was much needed world building.

Arthur and Iris are adorable this week. I think the one thing I feel is lacking from this is the lack of interaction between the team. I would love to see more Maki interaction for example.

Not a fan of the new op in terms of the animation. I don't think they put enough effort with the animations compared to the last. Pretty chill ep. But they'll probably fight the 3rd over Vulcan

I really liked that new op. I can't decide which op is better tbh
I think the first ed was a lot better then the new one though
It will get interesting with possible new members joining company 8!

A new scientist from Haijima wants to join 8th, really dont know his intentions!

Characater chimestry thsi episode was really good, Iris was pretty in casual clotes!

Vulcan were introduced this episode, and i really liked, also Lisa was introduced, and she is also beautiful, seems Vulcan is a genious enginer! hope Shinra change Vulcan ideas and made him join the 8th!

So Shinra's adolla burst can react to other minds, looking forward to know more of in in following episode!

New OP was awesome, i really liked that metal style!

My god, this anime just gets better and better! I loooove Vulcan; he's character design is so cool, he loves skulls and has a big passion for animals... what's not to like?! I'm so curious about the new aspects to Shinra's pyrokinesis too, especially now that it's taking on a life of it's own!

And that new Op! The minute it started i knew it was Coldrain and Coldrain are too fucking awesome! I feel like the new Op is a hint that that tone of the anime is gonna shift to something a bit darker.

Wow, this episode hit me in the feels 'cause I'm an animal lover. The extent of the post-apocalyptic part of Fire Force hasn't been elaborated on too much, so it hurts to know that the setting is in such a fucked up state that nearly all the animal species didn't survive the Calamity and so on.

(Also, new OP/ED yay.)

Damn, that shit took me back to my hardcore days lmao. I like some Coldrain songs but the OP is fucking terrible. The ED song is ok but nothing compared to the previous one.

By the OP itself we know the redhead guy is going to join, but I really like his dream. Utopic, but this is anime. His girl looks fine as well.

I like the new OP, I knew it was coldrain since their vocalist has a distinct voice and style. I've always enjoyed their music, especially in the OP of Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin. The last OP was memorable because of its beat but I feel this OP is more up my alley.

Got to see three of my faves in this episode: Vulcan, Victor and yes, Giovanni.

Lots of try-hard funny moments especially with Shinra's deformed face whenever he gets hit with the can. Vulcan looking fine as fuck. Lisa got that booty too. Yu looking like he should be on Shin Chuuka ichiban.

Iris pressing every button she can get her finger on. She was adorable, not gonna lie.

New OP and Ed! I like them both but I like the previous ones better, they just sound better for me.

As for the episode, the goofy humor is still there and Iris was adorable during that time in Vulcan's house.

New OP/ED, and I'd have to say aside from its very metal-sounding, it just screams as much as a typical Shounen show. Same as is with the ED, the 1st cour pair was infinitely better. Visuals-wise, well we know how that turned out.

With that, the new guy in Company 8, scientist Viktor Licht, is literally a suspicious rat. His motives and all are yet to be known.

Meanwhile, going to this "Vulcan" person, who is a tried and true Fire Force hater, due to his skills and expertise that everyone has him recruiting for, turned away. And Shinra, Arthur and Sister Lily are sent there to persuade him of a change.

But with Dr. Giovanni, Company 3's captain (who is funded by Haijima Industries), hatred is on his mind of the past. And it'll do nothing to change his heart that all Vulcan wanted to (re)create is the world before everything changed for the worse.

Did I ever think that Shinra's Adolla Link would even work? It's nothing, but of importance as we go along. Certainly this trouble is more than just family history alone...

i disagree on that one lol sakuga does not mean always have to be full FPS animation like Naotoshi Shida of Toei usually does

its just most sakuga of Fire Force has lack of pseudo camera movements thats all

Stuff like this just reinforces my view that the term sakuga has lost its meaning. Sakuga is supposed to describe only the absolute best 11/10 animation. Nowadays I see people use it to describe any scene with three or four above average frames of animation. It's oversaturating the usage and cheapening the term.

not really sakugabooru and sakugablog just spreads more awereness about sakuga

sakuga is also the unique signature animation style of an animator anyway and there are lots of animators

Both of those sites are kings of the problem. They overrate so much shit it's not even funny. And no sakuuga is not "the unique animation style of an animator".
Sakuga is the absolute GOAT tier 11/10 animation.

do you know that the sakuga community the one that invented the term sakuga as its used now are the ones that created sakugabooru?

there is no such thing as sakuga in japan, sakuga simply means animation in japan but the sakuga community redefine it like what you claim as high quality animation and the art of the key animators too

Yes, I know all of that. The definition of sakuga is not the point of contention. The point of contention is whether certain scenes are or are not sakuga. Fire Force in my opinion has some decent animation at times but nothing at sakuga level.

Great episode! Can't wait to see Shinra in action and saving the Vulcan.

So that's the power that Shinra acquired by having his Adolla Link activated? damn

As expected the Giovanni is an evil guy.

this episode was goood to me new cool crewmates and their back story is great - not "too much" dark I'd say its in the right amount.

kinda left me curious on how will it go on, although its a bit obvious.
