Well this is very interesting indeed! Loved the backstory and how recent world changing events corroborates and parallels with Shiroe's own recollection of his in-game history. So perhaps every World Fraction is one of the incremental update of the game? They didn't touch on the latest World Fraction (Apocalypse to the trapped players/Novasphere Pioneers update) which would have been even more interesting even if they put forward theory about it.

You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Shiroe went with Li Gan, Li Gan telled he uses world class magic, and explained magic levels. Li Gan also mentioned a world-class level spell called World Fraction, which has the power to change the course of the world and has only been used 3 times (one of them was Apocalypse). 350 years ago a group of alv princesses called Ruquinjé (Six Toppling Princesses) used it before losing a great war, creating demi-human monsters. 240 years ago NPCs caused the second one, integrating what are known as adventurers (real world players) to Elder Tale, so they can defend NPCs from demi-humans. Shiroe discovered that 1 day in Elder Tale are 2 hours in the real world. Li Gan explained that HP = anima and MP = psique for NPCs, and that the process of death is different if you are a NPC, an adventurer or you had MP when you died. Shiroe thinks that before, the psique was more related to the human player playing behind the screen, but due to the recent change, psique and anima may be connected now and could cause memory loss at the moment of reincarnation.

Great explanation episode, with this, I'm a little confused about taking seriously the history of Elder Tale, well, at the beginning I thought that the main priority was to discover a way out of the game to return to normal life, but Shiroe is discovering too deep in how Elder Tale has been created, that looks more like a real world than one created by programmers.

From their perspective, it would appear that time is passing by normally, ie days ingame are just as long as in real life. If one day in game is two hours in real life, then time in the real world is passing by much, much more slowly. This is pretty good news, as when the heroes eventually make it back home, not much time will have past. They could spend a year in the new world and only a month will have past in real life, so catching up should be pretty easy.

Breaths in, breaths out BOI

This ep is just one huge chunk of revelation!!!

Different scales of magic from the simples of action magic to the devastation of the world magic, with [World Fraction] as one of the most powerful.
Of course, World Fraction is related to the Apocalypse, but damn it's been used 3 times too?!

So did the demi-humans and other races came from another planet irl or in a separate universe? Who can wield the World Fraction?

I like the history bits from this ep just as well, but I especially love how they tie in the fact that 2 hrs irl = 1 day in-game. Which makes sense that the events matched with what was happening irl. Also, knowing that the actions that the players have done in-game in the past affect the people of the land and their history. That's a huge surprise!

Psyche is MP and Anima is HP. Adventurers will get respawned but there's a possibility that they may lose part of their mind along with their XP.

Wow... powerful magic, crazy history and some newly formed theories. This ep had it all... But 1 fact still remains that this game, Elder Tale made...
A magic so OP it literally transcends the realm of dimensions from the 2D game into the 3D world!!!

I love this ep

Nice history lesson and losing xp basically means losing memories about the real world. Was a solid episode and I definitely see what people meant when they said that world building is neat.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Obviously there is a penalty at death and it's a loss of memories, it's kinda harsh

Holy shit thats quite too much as an info dump, more like just a direct lesson to the history of the story. Okay, then!

The world class magic, the summoning spell, called World Fraction actually the caused of a several characters transported into that game of worlds, including Akatsuki, Shiroe, and the rest of the peoples. The reason of why, from the perspectives of those NPC, still unexplained. Need more time, i guess.

Its also looked alike that the death at those world was also cause a several penalty and effect if you got too much used of the revival spell at the cathedral building. Even though its just those magician theory, thus, its really affected Shiroe attention and decided to hide it as a secret between them. Sweet .... Still the logic was beyond my expectations, pretty detailed and arranged systematically. I wonder, if those information led a changed of plan to Shiroe by actually tried to learn those kind of magic from Regan. Or else? Or even, why and who? Its still unexplained here.

So, well, i don't even really care with the kids fate at these rate. Because its looks more like a filler to the main story. Lol. Just cleared them already!

Why is Shiroe not telling about his interactions to other round table members?
As it is, he has the position of power because he owns the guild bilding area. Frankly the however good shiroe be, he has clearly blackmailed others into joining the round table. Now he is withholding very crucial information which he is morally obligated to tell everyone (not only the round table members and akihabara but also any player he can contact).

Lots of important information on the world history, different magic classes and how revival works with memory loss risk being discovered. Its impressive how Shiro managed to play the game for 99-years (or 8 real world years) without getting bored, true dedication to grind I must say.

The final third portion of the episode again was boring and useless to me, but the meat of this episode was really good surrounding the infodump talking about the history of the Elder Tale World, the mechanics and how that connected with the game and real life people too being involved here. Not to mention, how there might be actual consequences for death in-game too, something which was glossed over in the past, regarding their memories in particular being the key thing here. The way everything was explained worked here, it didn't feel taxing to get through and was genuinely interesting to learn. If it wasn't for the final third with Minori, Tohya and the other scrubs, this would have been a pretty damn good episode as a whole. Definitely a lot more compelling of a setting to this series than many others in the same category, with effort clearly shown.

This was a pretty interesting episode. A lot of infodump but it was well done and had been a long time coming.

Interesting to know that the adventurers can potentially lose memories when dying.

Time also seems to work very differently to the real world, given that one day in the game is just 2 hours in real life.

Really a lot to think about with this episode, a lot of information but without many answers. Shiroe is one step closer to finding out how they got stuck in Eldertale.

Until now this Anime didn't had anything that make it more interesting to watch over SAO. Because their was nothing at stake but now there is. The animation is sh!t crappy along with the all the OSTs.

Huge lore dump this episode, and we suddenly know a lot more about this world and why a ton of people suddenly ended up in this world... Kind of. It looked like there was a World Fraction before, but that was just the open-beta of Elder Tale. Fast forward a couple years and another World Fraction takes place, this time transporting players into the world. And it turns out there is a possible consequence to dying in this world, where you may end up losing memories... I love this show lol I regret not watching sooner
