THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This case just gets more and more complicated...

I feel like the episode was hiding something within the context of the clues. Naruhodou definitely had some hard time figuring out what is right and wrong. Felt like the episode had some decent psychology.

Mitsurugi is also back so that makes this case even more complicated now ;o

Police guy caught a hold of them and showed the dead body.

Solving mystery to the fireball...

The killing happens elsewhere and the one saw in car 1 is fake?

One of the waiters is the double spy. He was forced by the US side. The lawyer in the US also got a hold of them. So that megane guy is the main guy who was in charge of the case.

The police in US admits the dirty doing, w. cooperation with that guy who got killed (Yusa-san) more dirty doing (for money). The megane guy admits killing him. The fake is the double spy on his mask.

Case is done, and no crime. He casted a bomb and called everyone except himself to run away.

US Police actually feels guilty and going to officially set him not criminal. They saved him.

So this is the final ep. of the year because the preview shows new year special.

yeah, he is "traveling" to jail! he made them hostages by gunpoint and blew a train up. he must be arrested, it doens't matter if he wasn't guilt for the murder, he's still a dangerous criminal

So is the 2nd season over now? Since the special isn't until January 19th... seems like a weird way to end it on an original anime and barely go into any of the Godot stuff.

I was disappointed with the episode to be honest... I get butchering the episodes which are directly adapted from the game, because there's a lot of information and not every little detail can be included. However, having the chance to make your own story that spans even in 3 whole episodes and instead you choose to have Phoenix randomly say all the correct theories without a single mistake based on nothing or almost nothing? It is just way too much. This felt butchered even for an original episode. It had such potential as an arc, but I felt so rushed through all of this.

The special episode with Edgeworth was much more cohesive and it was just one episode, why couldn't this be better?

Meh.

You sure are a tough one. Even if he didn't hurt anyone and just seeking true justice. It never really hit home until it's at your door (That is it's you or someone close to you)

I’m not surprised that Turnball was the killer but I didn’t think he had an accomplice.

For a moment I thought that they were going to paint the entire American prosecutor office as villains but I’m glad I was wrong.

I didn't expect an entire anime-exclusive case, that was very pleasant for the fan that I am, particularly with Ace Attorney 7 taking its time to come!

More AA is always great!

Not guilty but he still wanted to kill himself, well at least they saved them, for an anime original case it was pretty good to be honest, better than the game adaptations.

It's miraculous that Rick didn't have any burns on him despite sitting in the middle of a flame. It's crazy that everyone with Phoenix didn't perform a thorough search of the cabin where they thought Gale was murdered. It's absurd how Edgeworth managed to convince the top brass of the US Attorney Office to turn on Tristan. I have no idea how that train car shuffling even worked to begin with. Also, that countdown timer sound was directly from the TV series 24.

Wow, this arc gave me some surprisingly mixed feelings, despite my overall enjoyment of all its little twists and turns. I liked the locked room inside locked room mystery of the train car and train cabin, as well as actually getting that murder on the not-Orient Express. All the talk about the American court system certainly gives me things to think about, but it's not really important for the episode itself.

Overall, it was a fun anime original arc. No real complaints here.
