| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mahiru and Karen huh? Honestly, I think these two have an unique character chemistry in the show. Also made sense that they gave her some screen time like other main characters. Also kinda like the baseball theme used in the performance this episode. We also had the other girls hang out together outside of the usual competitive environment. It showed more of their casual lifestyle which I think is kinda interesting to see. |

| What a goofy Revue this week. Certainly not as flashy as the previous have been but I think this fits better rather than a over dramatic "Karen, please don't leave me for Hikari" kinda fight. They managed to get the message across while keeping it fun. This fit with the earlier parts of the ep when Mahiru was being kinda a creepy, but funny stalker smelling Karen's pillow and such. I also think this ep will resonate better if you have read the Mahiru chapter on the prequel manga. |

| This episode was pretty entertaining, to me... If a little bit cliched and predictable. That is to say, I had already considered it a foregone conclusion that Mahiru’s jealousy over Hikari’s getting in between she and Karen, was a plot point they would inevitably exploit. And that, either she and Karen, or she and Hikari, would have to fight, as so many of these girls do. What surprised me, was that they decided to get into it this soon already, and actually managed to fit all of it into this one episode, with some fairly hilarious, and somewhat heartening results. Because, Karen’s and Mahiru’s fight, passing through, interrupting and distracting all of the other girls’ respective fights, was pretty funny, to me. And I really liked the amicable resolution between all of them, in the end. So, overall, it was a pretty decent episode. |

| So Mahiru has got talent, but she feels inferior compared to everyone else... Aww, stage plays look so nice. Man, I am pretty sure that they're going to go all out on the budget when we finally see them perform Starlight... "Karen-chan..." "I forgot this..." PILLOW TOSS! TOWEL TOSS! FLASK TOSS! Mahiru shows the most personality in this show. How cute. Too bad that she keeps getting cucked by Hikari... I knew it! I knew that it was going to be Karen vs. Mahiru in one of these duels! And she's going full Yandere! Hahaha! Wait...wait...wait..."Revue of Jealousy?" Crap. Somebody tell me what the three previous Revues were! JAZZ!!! And the baseball and cardboard aesthetic! And Mahiru and Karen running all over the stage and entering other performers' stages! Also, Mahiru having to hear Karen call out to Hikari to set the tone. This is actually my favorite audition so far! Darn it...I forgot...Utena...Utena...I need to start paying attention to each of the stage themes of each performance... Karen vs. Junna had walls and puppets... Karen vs. Maya was a huge staircase that continued to break apart. Karen vs. Mahiru had a baseball theme with cardboard cutouts... I might be delving in it too much, but considering how this anime goes, it won't hurt keeping track of what kinds of stages we see. Mahiru has nothing to worry about. Maya may be the top star, but Mahiru shines brightest when she is happiest. A fun episode. |

| So were finally addressing the very envious, lonely, and SUPER GAY elephant in the room... BUT WOW I Was not expecting her to be THIS GAY, Like I was thinking it was just the usual implied yuri but smelling pillows and trying to sneak sips off the same bottle, like dang girl, started goin yandere for a bit there. Twas quite the episode. The battle itself was sooo... strange this time, but I liked it. It was and probably will be the funniest of the fights had in this series, by no means serious in the slightest and it kind of works in my opinion. It was an odd situation with an odd fight. |

| Oh Karen, you really like to make promises, don't you? It's a shame the winner isn't based on the performance itself but instead in who is able to cut the opponent's cape first. And although Mahiru's character wasn't of my liking (until this development, at least), her performance was nice and I really enjoyed it. That yandere vibes she gave during it were very funny too. Overall, it was a good episode. This weird tension/triangle between Mahiru and co. is finally over and now, she can think in becoming an star and shine by herself to make their family and friends happy. Which is a good motivation, being honest. However, I would have liked Karen to, at least, apologize to Mahiru for being so much into Hikari I mean, originally, Mahiru was her partner and they have been sharing the same room for a year already since they are in second year but well, that's just me. |
| Some real Shoujo-ai he? Pretty interesting character development and while we knew she was already quite reliant on her, it is quite interesting to see her express those feelings. Looking forwards to the next episode. |

| this ep was really frustrating imo for the simple fact of what Mahiru was going through... the whole time i was just hoping she would just for get about Karen and do for herself instead which i guess is what was going on in the end Mahiru is my fave of the series so am glad she finally got some screen time even though i feel this will be the most she'll ever get she'll probably wont get much more for the rest of the series which sucks cause this ep was really frustrating but atleast and i hope she's moving on and moving forward |

| Great episode. Mahiru is so adorable. <3 You deserve better than Karen Mahiru, don't worry. XD Anyway, I loved Mahiru's character growth this episode and I'm happy that she's stopped defining her worth in terms of Karen, I'm sure she'll become better than everyone once she can stop being dependent on Karen. The revue was the best one yet, presentation was fantastic and I loved how they moved through all the other ones too. XD Karen winning at the end felt kind crappy especially after Mahiru was the one shining all that while. Also, the "I forgot something" gag was just top tier. XD |

| this is the fight I was waiting for, for Mahiro-chan's jealous yuri power to boil over into becoming a duelist and aw man they didn't do the whole 'I am reborn' thing! I was looking forward to that! I appreciate the whole 'language' Ikuhara structures Utena with- the musical cues, the repeated segments so much more now that ED keeps tricking me into thinking it's going to play Eva ver. of Fly Me to the Moon since first episode |
| Mahiru was annoying af. She isn't the owner of Karen, she can't just say "stop being with Hikari and pay attention to me again!" as if it was the most normal thing out there. Smelling Karen's pillow and trying to put her lips on her bottle was creepy af btw. |

| Wow this episode was very frustrating to watch. I hope Mahiru gets over Karen, she honestly deserves someone who’s more considerate to her. She has her own type of problems too, obviously, but man. Also Karen in the middle of the fight being like “I remember why I can’t lose this fight!” had me going “????” cause she forgot? Really? How did you forget when that’s the entire reason why you’re in this audition in the first place? I’m not surprised this is how they handled Mahiru’s character, but I was hoping for more anger honestly or at least something more emotional than this. |
| I had enough of this anime. I am done for. And before starting to watch I was like... almost sure I would enjoy... but in the end .... *sigh* dropped 5/10 |

| Easily the best episode yet. Mahiru is so adorable! <3 She and Karen really makes this show. I really liked the Revue this time. It was very funny and entertaining. That "rolling rolling rolling" was hilarious. xD |

| Expected a sort of moment "ls Hikari-chan more important to you?" from Mahiru to Karen, but glad it was solved peacefully, and the baseball themed fight was a nice touch as all the girls eating together in the final scene |

| I Feel sorry for mahiru, she obviously will be left behind in the end, karen is like completely didn't care about her after all and just focusing to hikari, it's became hard to enjoy watching this with this kind of plot, hopefully mahiru deserve something better for her |
