Legends say this guy will love this anime. But honestly is one of the best so far this season, the music is different but good, the main character is appealing and the shows does well creating tense scenes. If you like sports is an extra.

Megalo Box's pacing is a lot like Ashita no Joe which means it's going to take its time to develop the characters instead of delving into action. The classic boxing film Rocky was the same; it was seventy percent character building and thirty percent boxing. So, you are either lying about liking Ashita no Joe or your tastes changed greatly since you are a kid.

Dude -__- Why the hell do you want to look like a fool. S;G has a score of 7 in my list. Well considering one of your recommendations involve virtual reality and the other space-time manipulation, I think you are someone who has a bit of idea about space science. I'll still make my side clear.

My reply was entirely aimed at frosty's "WAIT,WAIT....." comment.

The basic idea of time travel used in S;G is the use of supertiny blackhole. A particle accelerator can create a small black hole of that size (say 5 gm mass). But it will just explode by the law of hawking radiation. Or else a supertiny black hole can mean huge mass (say earth mass) compressed into a very small radius. In this case the black hole will just eat up the earth. There is no theory currently that supports S;G type of time travel through the use of black holes. Well, I haven't heard any atleast.

And even if it was possible to use supertiny black holes, there's no way you can make portable particle accelerator of the size used for further time travels in the anime. That is, too many scientific "plotholes". I get it, its a Sci-Fi anime. But, atleast they should have stuck to "possible theories". To a well-informed person its just insulting their intelligence. Like telling normal people that the earth is flat (which actually is still possible if you consider a certain black hole theory).

Atleast the anime should have mentioned some links that give their ideas even a bit of scientific support. Normal people don't mind and will believe in everything they see wheras space geeks will think that these guys are just making fools off them.

Lastly, I love how you "support" your initial statements with TL;D being one of my favorites. Perfectly reflects your hollow thinking! TL;D is one of the finest harems and I believe its totally fine to dream about one.

Thanks for the recommendations though. Lain looks like a pretty interesting anime.

Im not interested into boxing anime but i gave this a try and i was pleasantly surprised with its futuristic steampunk setting and the fact that the main character is awesome! Even if you aren't into the sports genre, this series would be a nice start and you would be concerned about the the characters unlike other mainstream anime.
