You seem experienced a lot on this site. I'm not an active online person and often spend time in my room reading books and doing other hobbies. I won't hurt you, just wanted to ask permission to use your favorite as my gateway to the time machine, have nice day.
E aí! Tudo bem?
I'm very happy to hear that you're hanging in there and have made positive decisions for your life. Obviously I don't know the reasons behind your struggles, but the world and our experience of it can often feel overbearing, especially with such darkness surrounding you as depression. Even if you're still going through some great difficulties to this day, you've made the right steps and are on a great journey. As difficult as they may seem, your experiences in this world are meaningful and can shape you into a better man. It sounds to me like they already have.
Regarding wasting your 20s, I have similar experiences. Although, for me it wasn't so much wasting, rather just learning to be a human being in general. As I experienced extensive childhood abuse along with having learning disabilities, by the time I became an adult, I had no foundation to function in the world, no values or understanding of how to behave or relate to other people. It was a decade of my life in which I made so many regrettable and even tragic decisions, but I know that I couldn't have done any differently. If I had, I'd be someone else. It was a period of development I needed to go through. To this day, I still hold some feeling of resentment toward those who brought me into this world for what they did did to me, sadness in my heart for things that I did or didn't do, how I treated others, but it's not positive to hold onto these things. We can't change the past, but only learn from it, push on and believe in ourselves.
Anyway, it seems like you've already come so far, and that's truly something to be proud of. Your message really made my day. I believe in you; I know you can overcome any difficulties that you may still have and achieve your dreams, whatever they may be. Although, if you are ever having difficulties and want someone to speak to about anything, I'm always here for you.
I was going through some old forum threads and found a post by you from 2017 in a thread about depression in which you shared a little of your experience of having depression since 14-15. I'm sorry that you had go through that, but I'm glad to see that you're still around. I wonder how you're doing all these years later. I sincerely hope you managed to overcome all your difficulties despite everything and get to a happier, more peaceful place in life, achieving the things you want to achieve.
Really neat profile with some cool favorites. I always try to watch War in the Pocket for Christmas. Probably a bad idea, but still. And you've been here for a long while. Nice. ^_^
I appreciate your Kiki review very much. It is a great movie indeed. I just feel that it could be a little longer since the character development feels a bit incomplete. But all in all it's in my top 3 ghibli works
