Baki fights the yasha ape and wins after a tough fight.
The yasha is an ancient near extinct species, baki now respects time and nature.

He defeated the ape.
It was nice when he delivered the cranium of his wife, the ape accepted him as a warrior.

Well, this episode had a surprisingly touching conclusion.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

This actually is a refreshing battle shounen anime. Usually I don't like stuff like that. Tooo childish (Naruto) or too ugly (Dragonball) looking chars.

Here it is okay. Nice fights and pure action. I also liked how Baki thought a bit further about morals and nature and stuff.

Only bad thing for the source/files I found I'm watching now: Seems the sub titles are a bad translation or they are "dub titles" (there also is an English dub). Sometimes for some common phrases I noticed it. For example when he said "tasukete" the subs said "is that all you've got" as if he was taunting the monster instead of asking for help. But that's not the fault of the anime but fault of the ones that made the subs I'm watching. Anime itself is nice.

What an badass episode and nice conclusion
He didn't kill the Yasha ape, or maybe he couldn't
But fight & win against the Yasha Ape is all he need

so baki wins because of "endorphins" XD
the ape was obviously the superior fighter in every-way, he should've won, i was rooting for him to be honest, he whooped baki's ass
plus his dad is a piece of shit, at-least baki realized that he was being a piece of shit at the end XD

Damn baki has grown a lot in the span of a few episode, from getting his ass handed down by some 9 foot tall ape to doing a big uno reverse

Forget galaxy brain, Baki is going for near-death brain.

My dude should be hospitalized after the hits he took in that fight.

Wondering how they plan to make Baki's upcoming fights more dangerous than this one. I guess the 40 year old bodybuilder passing as a 15 year old should put up a pretty good show.

Starts out pretty dumb, but gets better at the end. But the whole part about "Throwing yourself off a cliff to cross your limit"-thing was just too ridiculous, in my opinion.

How is he not dead yet? The ape was literally using his head as a sledgehammer to break rocks xD

Still think this endorphin thing is stupid af. Still think having a mega monkey is whack. But glad at the end Baki realized he was stupid for trying to kill the creature when it had done nothing to him. I didn't expect that at all.

Hopefully this show goes back to "regular" land and all this bizarre fantasy creature, pseudo science garbage goes away. Otherwise I'm going to have to drop it.

The best episode so far, definitely. Old anime aesthetics + a raw fight like this was fun to watch, although Baki's massive strength increase didn't really make any sense.

Good episode! Nice fight and I think Baki is becoming more wise and less of a punk that only knows how to fight.

Really liked the journey in this episode. Baki not only became stronger both physically and mentally buy he learned to respect nature and what it means to be wise and the strongest
