| I thought of something: If Pedro dies in the explosion, and Big Mom later faints (let's say by Sanji's cake), will he get his stolen years back and be resurrected? Or we don't know for sure? |

I thought he was gonna get his life span back at some point and I thought the homie that fought him a couple chapters ago would be the answer for that. Katakuri better still be on the ship. Can't wait to see a proper fight between the two. Honestly, I didn't want Carrot to join the crew until now but a mink surely has to. Their people are too good. Lol at Perospero thinking Luffy is scared of spikes. Should've asked Don Krieg first, bro. |

| I smell a Pell 2.0 xD Chopper and Brook lost to Perespero, well it would've been to good to be true if they actually had a real chance, especially since we now know that he has a whopping 700mio on his head. Luffy vs Katakuri was a nice eye candy. And about the part with Pedros sacrifice, it would be indeed awesome if Oda has the balls to pull it off, it would also show that you can't win against a Yonkou without taking casualities. One thing speaking for it would be that he hasn't much time left anyway. However, has to be seen if the attack was successful, or if Perespero was somehow able to avoid the damage. Sucks that we have to wait two weeks, tho ~__~ |

There's no way the cake is already ready so are the StrawHats just gonna burst out and hide assuming the explosion releases the candy hold on Sunny? Don't think they can hide from a Yonkou that easily. |

| Katakuri can stretch his body like Luffy, and can turn his body into mochi too, it's like Paramecia and Logia combined. I think it will be hard for Luffy to beat him. |
| We all know there is a chance that a "Pell" might happen for that last scene, but then again...They are fighting a Yonkou, there should be casualties and Pedro represent that, and his death will most likely be the foothold for Carrot to join the SH permanently. It's basically shaping Luffy's crew to become just like Roger, both Inu and Neko were also part of Roger's crew, make sense if Luffy will have variety like Roger. That gives more chance for someone from Wano to join, just like the Oden who were a part of Roger's crew as well. |

| I hope Pedro actually died there. In this manga hardly anyone dies, so I'd appreciate some casualties. I'm not sure if I want Carrot to join. I wasn't reading this manga back when Brock joined. I got used to the original members, so more people joining would be quite weird for me, but let's see where this is going. |

| Oda has faked out so many deaths, that this stuff usually loses it impact. That being said, that it was a good as it was despite that fact says a lot about the execution. Still a little annoying, but it was a stellar chapter. |

| We really wouldn't be doubting Pedro's death if this wasn't One Piece. It is just what makes more sense for several reasons. First, they have actually been foreshadowing this the whole arc: Pedro has very little time left, Pedro never intended to come back alive, he went suicidal before. Talk about multiple death flags. Second, the phrases and lines that were chosen for this moment, particularly this farewell; a fake death would ruin this moment not just for the future but in retrospect. Third, the feeling of danger and shit going down. To take out somebody like Perospero who seems so unapproachable for the rest it makes sense that a huge sacrifice is performed. And last but not least, Carrot. Not only for the new motivation and inherited will this means for her, but also to tackle something that could be potentially problematic about her attitude. During this whole arc, even in dangerous situations, she has consistently taken things lightly and been enthusiastic about everything. Innocence and enthusiasm are not bad, but when Pedro first tried to blow himself up she acted like it was nothing and admired his plan. That was probably too much, and Pedro already told her to take things more seriously when they started the journey. She underestimates the gravity of things and needs a burst of realization like this to understand where she's getting into, specially given her dream of exploring the world beyond Zou. While this scene was epic and sad as hell and Pedro takes the spotlight for his -very foreshadowed- actions, I feel that this chapter and specifically the emotional weight of this part is more about Carrot and her necessary growth. After all, Pedro is just repeating ideas we already knew, heard from him or could very easily assume, but Carrot is suffering essential character development right here. Sort of a sudden tragic backstory. |
