| the low budget low effort yakuza 1 remake got great reviews, man this is a weird alternate universe but even the weakest games in this series are special so its great to see the praise too bad 6 apparently kind of sucks which might upset the flow of praise its been getting since yakuza 5 released. |

| Man death note is getting fucking trashed, from what some of these synopsis are describing it sounds incredibly dumbed down yet at the same time pathetically more schlocky trying to rely on shock value gore to garner the disturbing tone of the source. Except the original barely had much blood save for a few occasions and was able to build a fucked up tone through effective imagery that depicted a batshit crazed sociopath like light and his actions rather than LOL DECAPITAITONS!!! |

Wait till you get past at least HR 4 and all the mechanics come get ya. "Each weapon class behave differently". They behave so differently that me trying to use a Lance would like I haven't played Monster Hunter ever. The amount of mistakes I make when using that thing is way too much. Still tho, I am HYPED about what I see here. The environment and ecology taking a big part of that hype. |

| Cartagra is a lot more of a... "traditional" VN than Kara no Shoujo in terms of routes and whatnot. KnS had this overarching plot where everyone was connected and while the story goes you get to know shit about the characters, kinda similar to how Persona does it (aka you get to choose which places to go to each day and who to hang out with) but everything connects to the main plot. The routes here feel more individual like normal VNs dates and happy times so far or at the very least the routes that don't involve either dead people or crazy people The success KnS has probably something to do with its utterly confusing choice system, though. |

| Well, scratch fucking that, the last route felt generic and this one felt fairly generic until shit happens again. Seems like I should never let my guard down with this thing. The backlog never ends and I still keep getting more games in my hand. |

| Holy shit. Cartagra at first wasn't as good as Kara no Shoujo. There isn't as much things happening, it was less interesting, and how it was handled didn't seem as good as KnS. It was still good, ofc, but not as. Some parts felt boring, some parts felt meh, etc. The true route and ending tho. It was fairly spectacular, how everything that happened till then jumbled together into this. The ending was even better than KnS made me feel itself, as That was great shit, right there. I thought I would leave Cartagra feeling meh but that ending was great enough. How they handled every scenario felt gucci. The things surrounding the murders and whatnot felt more personal than KnS, too. imo KnS was a better VN overall, but Cartagra's true route definitely deserves some praise. Welp, I'll have to read KnS 2 sometime or another, better not misremember this time around. Also @Frostbytes Don't read that spoiler above, but you should definitely read Cartagra before Kara no Shoujo now that I've finished it. |
