Oh shit, the battle between Chariot and Croix. Felt like this was a climatic episode after all the buildup that led to this point.
I'm not surprised that Croix had an advantage since she was prepared.
However, this episode also goes to show that Croix had flaws in her plans. Too bad it had to come down to this..
Glad to see Akko and the others make a timely save at the right place and time. Also, I find it really exciting that Akko finally meets her face to face in her true form (without the Ursula diguise).
Ako saved the day but it looks like she still has the save the week.
Things where complicated this episode but it was a great episode it really showed Ako's growth.
Anyway the teachers also have some things to work out seeing as they know now what's going on well some of them anyway.
They need to come with a solution.
My heart <3
oh God.. that last scene.. Akko's speech with Ursula.. i'm so emotional ugh
but the ending scene though
it gave me chills
so creepy and so scary
Gah, this episode has me shaking. The "Akko speech" had me in tears! I'm surprised that Chariot is the reason Akko can't use magic. Way to go LWA. You got us.
What a wonderful episode. Chariot's fight against Croix was cool. She turned her wand into a lightsaber! Croix's confusion when she tried to use the Grand Triskelion was funny. She looks so distraught. After a heartwarming moment with Chariot, Akko unlocked the seventh word. That cliffhanger though. Things are not over yet.
Man, this show just keeps getting better. Hopefully with the world reconstruction magic, Akko will be able to achieve her dream of becoming a great witch!
Croix vs Chariot
and then Croix magic devices go out of control
Akko and Chariot unlocking the last word
that speech of Akko to Chariot/Ursula made me tear up
and damn that last scene there is a nuclear warhead that is part of the uncontrollable magic devices of Croix heading their way?

You see, Croix... There won't any problem if what you do when entering the school is not bad and just work together with Chariot instead. Just like Akko and Diana cast the spell together to safe Chariot.

I wouldn't go that far lol. I've had fun with the series but it's definitely an 8-8.5. I think the increase of quality episodes and the sense of progression of both the story and akko's character through the 2nd cour helped this show as the 1st cour was just "watch what akko gets in trouble with this week!" but now it feels like we're watching her mature but still retain what makes her akko and it warms my hear to see her and Diana have respect and friendship even if it took longer that I would have liked for that to happen.
As for the episode itself, it really does show what the 2nd cour worked hard to build up and I'm early waiting the finale to a good show.

I liked the first cour for it's slice of lifey feeling, then the second season became a heartwarming adventure. Realistically your rating is more accurate, I do love Trigger and I am biased a bit, but my enjoyment is definitely 10/10. The character development in the second cour is really great, and the soundtrack beautifully accompanies the themes of each scene.
Currently it's sitting around 7.9 on MAL and I definitely think it should be at least over 8, most rating probably came in the first 6 or so episodes it seems and people dropped it cause they couldn't handle the casual slice of lifey themes I guess.
5/5- Another great episode with a lot of intense moments, a heart warming speech and a light saber.
Phasansheer Shearylla- Connect with other people and your dream will grow. Akko knows that she didn't get here by herself and because of that, her dream to meet Chariot was reached. At least I think that what this final word means.
That speech in the end by Akko almost got me. Then she told Ursula/Chariot that she loves her. Then I lost it.
It looks like things aren't over yet with that thing in the sky. The finale is next and I'm excited.

That's fair enough. Your opinions are your own, and I have no problems with that, in fact I'm glad you really enjoyed the show! I do agree I feel like the show deserves an 8 rating, and it could get it in time since it's a 7.9, and even if it doesn't it's fine.
Great episode. Chariot vs Corix was awesome. That light saber was cool.
World Reconstruction Magic not what Croix expected. Akko & everyone to the rescue. Love seeing Shiny Arc again.
Akko finally having a proper meeting with Chariot was so heartwarming & sweet. Saying she wants to be herself & not try to be like Chariot was awesome.
The final word activates. YAY!!
That rocket is bad news.
Excited for the final episode.
"I’ve set myself to become the King of the Pirates…and if I die trying…then at least I tried!" Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
Are we getting another plot twist. I can't wait to see what else trigger has come up with. Kinda feels like we'll get a major death. Hope it's not Croix (like some last minute redemption sacrifice )cause that would be too predictable.
Also did Diana get a permanent eye change now. Her eyes have become more droopy. Whadyou call that? Tsurime to tareme eyes.
LWA's action has been a problem area for me. I feel like reactions and the situations are too static. X happens and Y character sees it happening and reacts uncomfortably slow to it. it feels too stiff to be fluid and dynamic a lot of the time.
Other than that i still love the show. Being completely honest it is extremely corny at times and very soft. Can't kill any characters and everyone needs to learn about love and stuff. i dont think thats inherently bad. I just wish it was a little more nuanced, and a little less ham fisted.
I was genuinely worried the 25 ep count was a mistake and that this would be the last episode, which would have been a pretty weak ending honestly. not bad, just anti-climactic, but im glad i was wrong and im glad for that tension left with the last few second of this episode.
Really anticipating next week. Im sure trigger can bring it home. I'd be happy(ish) with a relatively mediocre ending. Im not expecting KLK or TTGL levels of awesome, because the show has already done enough for me that at worst its a solid 8.5 or 9/10.
I want it so badly to hit me wit something for me to 10/10 it. mayeb it will upon second viewing.
TL;DR, Good episode, want more nuance, cleaner action, but glad focus was shifted somewhat to more chariot and croix as theyre very interesting. now just needs even more diana and akko and we're good.
I love the little jokes that Trigger always like to put into all of their shows. I was not expecting Chariot to pull out a lightsaber in that fight, but I am so glad she did. The speech between Akko and Chariot was beautiful, but so was the entire rest of the episode. And I guess the final word was... forgiveness?
I've been wondering about the Grand Triskelion though. When Croix entered the mound, picked up the stick and all it did was spray bubbles and do fun little tricks, I was thinking that was literally all it was. That the Nine Ol'e Witches were just playing a really elaborate prank on everyone this who time. Croix tries her hardest and asks why it isn't working, and the witches appear and all say "funny".
It would have made for a very different ending but I don't think it would have been as fun as what we're going to see next week. BTW, great way to deliver a cliffhanger.
The pacing of the last few episodes was so much better than in the first part of the series it really elevates it to another level. I still don't understand the political plot with andrew and his father and I also don't like that they only call it "this nation" and "the other nation". Maybe they want to make the point that it could happen anywhere but it still sounds stupid.
I'm not sure what the last word was, Akko said "I love you" and "Thank you". "Thank you was the 6th word already, so I think you're not far off with "forgiveness" since it's the one thing Chariot couldn't do for Croix.
So next week Akko is going to stop an atom bomb heading for the moon and also fix the moon and restore magic in the process.
In the end, the Trigger did not deny the clash between Ursula and Croix, there was no such wickedness as one could imagine at the beginning. The same applies when Akko talks to the professor, at that moment the atmosphere was pervaded by so much sweetness and love, that beautiful! The real twist of the whole episode, when Finneran and Holbrook crashed during the clash, were a real twis. I wonder if there will be a new season, I would be happy.
I thought the show couldn't get any more inconsistent, but it just did. Am I the only one that feels betrayed by Trigger or is there someone else not blinded by flashy stars and pretty design?
The most beautiful thing about this episode was the fact that Akko finally said that she is Akko and Chariot is Chariot. During the whole anime she always wanted to become Chariot, even though she isn't Chariot. And that is the most important lesson that she learned.
But it looks like it's not over yet..............................
LADIES, PLEASE! You shouldn't fight here, this is the war room!..............Climatic battle stage is in the hallway to your right, Thank you
OK, so real talk before we 'talk' about the episodes. Before I watched the series, I, Of course, started with the short movie. It was fun, enjoyable and oozed a unique charm. The staff of Studio Trigger are notorious for being fans of Western animation, from Steven Universe to Disney, and nowhere was this more obvious than in Little Witch Academia. Afterwards, I watched the sequel movie, which was around an hour long. It was good, not as good as it's predecessor but it still qualified for, at most, a 9. It was kinda like a Disney Sequel (The GOOD ones, mind you) and I enjoyed the established lore and subplots there. To this day, I still wonder about who Jennifer was (As a person) and whether or not her sacrifice affected how people ion this universe see witches today. So when I heard there was a TV series coming soon, hinted when I watched another Trigger series (You know which one it was), I hit the PTW button right away. As soon as the series started, I posted on forums of how great the show was, how obvious some of the foreshadowing were (Seriously, they are as opaque as Aku hanging around in the beach, with NO shorts! AUGUGH!!) and the occasional weakness that pop up here and there. But to this day, I still love this show. It warrants a 10 (provided the ending delivers) and my highest recommendations to anyone who asks, "What kind of anime should I watch?". The only tragedy is, a critic never gives a ten (or in the case of a flawed ending, a 9) But then again, I'm NO critic. I'm an fan like everyone else, almost as a fan as Studio Trigger themselves. So, when someone asks if this anime has done anything, I'll tell them this, this anime inspired me to go for my dreams. I always wanted to be in the animation industry, despite my sub par art and everyone saying that animation is a bitch, but screw it, I'll join in anyways. I'll tell them that, one day a kid from South East Asia is making an anime that is garnering critical praise and he owed it to this anime. His parents wanted him to be a doctor but NOPE!
And in a nutshell, that's what this anime is, a love letter to what the creators loved most. So, if you ever catch wind of a DVD/Blu-Ray release, please, let me know. I want to show the creators my support and utmost appreciation, and help them as much as I can. Even if I bought ONE (or two depending on what's next) DVD/Blu-Ray of this show. Because I want to continue to support them.
Last time in LWA, Diana breaks the ice and tells Akko to believe in her believing heart. And chariot walks up to Croix, demanding she stops her Noir Fuel Spirit. And then Chariot whips out her Lightsaber. They have an epic battle until Croix successfully traps Chariot, until an unlikely ally intervenes, Prof. Anne. I have to be honest that was a legitimate twist and I did not see that one coming (I mean, it was hinted earlier, but I never knew when). But to no avail, Croix unleashes her Noir fuel Spirit, shuts down the Sorcerer's Stone and disrupts the leylines, and her plan begins execution. Meanwhile, everyone is going berserk on the streets and the police are considering on bringing in the MILITARY! SWEET JESUS!! Do they always do this when someone gets triggered? No wonder the two factions hate each other! They suck in crowd control. Akko and Co. notice the commotion and hurry to Chariot's side, and crash head first into Arcturus forest. Meanwhile, Croix has successfully pried the seal open, only to find out, that the world changing magic..........is a stick. Great! As you can tell, Croix doesn't get it, and instantly loses her shit. But her day just got worse, because the Noir Fuel Spirit gained a mind of it's own and started to turn on Croix. Thankfully, Chariot jumps in and saves her. Eventually the girls jump in and lend a helping hand (Wait, how did they get their magic back? Didn't they say they were out of magic? And the Sorcerer's Stone was still inactive at the time, wh-what? And on that note, they found her by following a jet stream. What made you think THAT will lead you to Chariot? For all we know, it might be a paratrooper from that military reinforcement we mentioned earlier. You know, like Lord of the Flies) and Akko uses her first spell and saves Chariot, after Chariot saved Croix of course.....again. What happens afterwards was a touching scene, and for me, was the highlight of this episode. It's when Akko and Chariot meet after saving her, and Akko tells Chariot that, Akko will be Akko and Chariot will be Chariot. The conversation they exchanged was brilliant and heartfelt, and managed to flesh out, not only Akko and Chariot's development as characters, but also bring light into Akko's main goal, finding Chariot and thanking her for all the change she has brought to Akko's life. And right there, is when Chariot sees the bright side (For she was blind, but now she sees), and, Akko FINALLY finds the last word, the Seventh Word. She obtains the Grand Triskelion and everyone rejoices (Guys is it me, or does the Grand Triskelion look like a sword when merged with the Shiny Rod?), while Croix is left distraught and contemplates about what she has done (Still surprised about how NO ONE punched her in the face for what she did!!) But all is not over, as the fury, still kicking, turns inTO A #@$%%^ING NUKE!!! HOLY SHIT! "No kill like overkill", THEY SAY!

ONWARDS! Away from homework and on to more anime!!!
Now it's 9/10 for me, but I hope the final episode will up it. The animation of battles and magic was the best this episode so far, hope they will keep it high quality for the next. Akko's speech to Chariot at the end showed how much she matured since the beginning, but still felt completely in character. This show is definitely one of the highlights for me this year.
Wow what an episode, this the climax. So we start with Chariot with a Life Saver, you know when that is your starting point, it is going to get good. And the reveal Chariot can't fly anymore, well I guess in her mind that is poetic justice, as we find out later she has so much guilt inside of her, that is probably why she could never get the 7th word.
Anc Croix is very smart, but at the same time very stupid, force open the gate, when has that ever worked out. Was she so lost in her ambition she lost all logic. I wonder what is going to happen to Croix now, is she going to jail, or magic jail, at the very least she is not going to be back at Luna Nova anytime soon. Though who knows with the way that loony Headmistress thinks.
When Chariot was about to be eating, I just watch the latest of Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, I did not need this, thankfully Akko and the others show up to save the day.
I am disappointed, it really just Akko that saves the day, Diana, Lotte, Sucy, the green team didn't really do much, I wish it could have been more of a team effort.
So Akko finally meets Chariot, and achieve her dream and return the Shiny Rod, all in a short time Luffy. And she learned she can never be the next Chariot, she only be Akko. Anyone could have told her that at the beginning.
Still though what happened at the end, do we still have one more crisis to solve? Or is the next episode going to be all epilogue?
My biggest disappointment, Diana was left out of the group hug, next episode we better get that Akko and Diana hug, I guess a group hug would have been cheep for their big hug, it needs to be one on one hug.
So than a great series, the best series of 2017, and I don't just mean anime, I mean the best animated series of 2017 period. And next episode it ends. I am hoping we at least have some OVA specials. A Christmas OVA would be nice, and than maybe season 2.
The Croix vs Chariot battle was pretty thrilling I have to say. Chariot made good use of her 'lightsaber' indeed. =P
However, the best part of the episode was Akko's heart-to-heart talk with Chariot, as and it was beautiful to watch. Lovely ost for the whole scene too. =)
Although they did stop Croix's creation, they haven't realised anything about the missile at the end, which sounds like it'll explode any second with it's constant beeping.
The final episode will be interesting for sure. =D
Other than the lightsaber killing the atmosphere a little bit due to its ridiculousness, and the other teachers finally noticing that Croix was up to no good, this was an amazing episode. The best one yet.
Akko's speech with Chariot, unlocking the 7th word by accepting who she really is, rejuvenating the decayed Arcturus forest... those last 5-7 minutes were perfect.
I doubt the finale is gonna be tragic considering nobody really gets hurt throughout the entire series. Not even one drop of blood, still kinda creepy though. It's gonna be interesting how Akko is going to save the day. The sad part is that now that Akko has given up on being Chariot, the chances of a season 2 are kind of reduced since well, there isn't much more to do in the narrative. Hopefully I'm wrong though, at this point it wouldn't be crazy to see some conservative magic organization be after the great triskellion's unlocked power.
Can anyone check if this nuclear launch was in the series of red / black creepy pictures that appeared like 15 episodes ago?
Still bummed out that Diana didn't become an even closer friend with Akko, oh well.
vilmarbf said: Did you guys ever noticed that akko explodes and desintegrates in the ending? Let's hope it's just a coincidence.
NOOOOOOOOOO if akko ends up having to sacrifice her mortal form to restore magic or some shit i will literally be heartbroken omfg... i have a really bad feeling some fucked up shit is gonna happen next episode though, ugh...
maybe it'll be chariot who sacrifices herself? idk.
my other theory is that magic will be gone for good and everyone will "live equally" or something :S

The director he wished he could have done more with Diana and Amanda, so we could get a season 2 and focused more on other characters.
Damn! Chariot such an OP she's physically hitting that monster xD
Croix's expression while frustrated over the stick is so priceless. Wait it seems like the battle will take on the sky, maybe on the moon, holy psst... Gurren Lagann vibes (▶.◀)

I went like:
Holy shit , I smell a Gainax Ending Coming
Gunbuster or Diebuster type of ending?
But you're right, it seems there won't be a happy ending. Besides the last moments of this episode there is also Diana's prophecy that Akko will leave Luna Nova.
This is probably the cheesiest LWA episode ever. It's soo cute. When Akko hugged Chariot, I'm really happy for her that she got to FINALLY meet and even HUG her idol. Ugh. This episode is everything. <3 I'm so sad that the next week's episode will be the last. I'll miss this show so much!
P.S. Chariot always slays.

I'm a bit conflicted on the quick resolution of Croix and Chariot's showdown, but I'm glad Chariot got a few badass moments again. I'm conflicted in that it was over quickly, but it makes sense in a way since Croix was never out to destroy Chariot, even though her ambitions were in part fueled by jealousy. After all she got for her efforts was a stick, it would have made sense for her to lash out at Chariot, but broken resolve isn't too unbelievable either. Maybe she and Chariot could patch things up after all, as it seems like Chariot thinks their falling out was her own fault as well.
Chariot and Akko reunion was also a bit too neat perhaps, but at least Chariot brought up the good questions (are you sure you're okay with me, after I stole your magic), even if Akko brushed them aside - which is completely in line with her character. Nevertheless, the scene made me happy.
The exploding dragon and all the Chariot action (when she wasn't tied up) looked very pretty. The situation keeps escalating though, and I don't really know what to expect for the finale, as in how can Team Akko prevent a war from happening? The restoration of magic, however, looks pretty straight forward from now on, and I assume magic users will simply have access to more energy, whether they use it for "good" or "bad".
