 News reports in Japan reported that animator Norio Shioyama died with his wife from the fire burning his house on Thursday early morning. He was 77 years old and his wife was 85 years old.Shioyama debut in drawing illustrations to Harris no Kaze, he became a popular animator and was in charge of character design to various anime at Tatsunoko Production and Sunrise, namely Soukou Kihei Votoms series, and more. | Damn, house fire again... :( RIP. I remember watching Yoroiden Samurai Troopers in my native language dub, one of my very early anime shows (though didn't manage to finish). Thanks for the character design and animation, that anime is part of my childhood memories. Going to finish that show some time soon in the future from the beginning again but in English sub. |
