hmm, interesting to see the history of Aqua. Though its kind of hard to believe that there is someone else out there like Akari XD

They sure have been consistent using water as a symbol though, its probably been used every episode.

Well only one more left to go =)

Well water seems to be the most important thing on Aqua so it makes sense it would be a consistant theme.

I think it was a great idea to show some of the history of Aqua. It was a very profound moment when the water came in.

I'm also loving the insert songs. Must download them.

This was a very intriguing episode :)
It was nice to see the history of Aqua and its beginnings. Moreover, Akari is just too sweet~ And President Aria is wonderful too. Beautiful episode as always :)

So that's how it all began, I have a feeling one of those kids was Akatsuki-san O_O, shame they didn't meet in the present though xD

It kinda reminded me of The Dune - people awaiting water and water coming and changing the planet and their lives... Sadly there's only one episode left :/

I agree that the episodes are getting better. The second half of this series is so good. <3

President Aria with that other cat was very cute. ^^

What a magical episode. So that bridge is not ordinary bridge but a magical one since it connects people from the future to the past. We finally get to see how planet Aqua started. Very interesting indeed.

Okay so I think at first Alicia knows the history behind the old bridge and told Akari to go there to experience it aswell. Also, Akiko mentioned cats connect people from past to future. I kinda noticed there were a lot of cats inside the old bridge, so yeah. I think that's the reason why Akari got transported, lol.

I don't know how Akiko knew that Akari was from the future. Her clothes maybe? It was fun seeing Akari and AKiko together. It's like they were made to match up, lol.

This episode was really interesting. I want to learn more about the history of Aqua.
And I'm sure we'll be finding out more about Akiko's role in the future, I hope.

Other than the young Aika and Akira cameos..
I think we just saw Athena and Alice's mothers.

She must have figured out that Akari is not from that time, but from the future. She didn't mean that Akari is her (Akiko's) future, but she meant it as a whole, as in Aqua's future.

I was most annoyed when Akiko was saying how much she and Akari are the same...

@ Crimsonwill: I'm glad I"m not the only one! I also recognized Aika, and then that oba-san reminded me of an older Athena, likewise the tall green-haired girl with the grandma-Athena reminded me of Alice. Possibly their ancestors...?
I can't remember for the life of me what Akari said once about how long ago water reached Aqua (earlier episode); but I'm guessing little Akatsuki wasn't a younger version of him but a younger version of his ancestor.

Anyway, great episode! The first since a few episodes ago that really captured my attention. Heartwarming, kind of sad, and as always, very amazing.

Yap. Also, the beginning was kinda booring, although the half and the end of the episode were pretty good.

A timetraveling episode. ^.^

Now, I wonder if we're going to see Akiko again, as an old lady. xD

I just love how "Symphony" plays in the background during those tender heartfelt moments full of happiness.

It seems the author likes time travel. It was a great episode though, my favorite scenes were when Akari said that sappy lines are forbidden (it was really funny hearing that from her), and when she calmly fell down with the fence. I don't know if it was Aika as a child or one of her ancestors, but it was still nice to see her. 4/5.

That's what I thought! The hair and skin color of the lady and the obaa-san was just like Alice and Athena :D Aika was really cute too, I liked her hairstyle.
I started tearing up when the water came, because it really is a historical moment for Aqua, the beginning of everything. Then all the flashbacks came and I started to cry. And that song too. Everything was just beautiful in this episode...like every episode in this anime ^^

This was a great backstory, I really like the slight concept of time travel/alter times like the one with the neko spirit. This one was really great because it was the backstory of the plant, really nice episode! Only one left in this season, lets see what it has to offer!

One of those kids looked like Aika and the old woman with white hair resembled Athena as well. History episode of Aqua' which in my opinion was pretty good. Akiko said that the cats in Aqua connected people to the past or something around those lines. So based on what Akiko said Akari was able to go to the past because President Aria was with her. I don't like the idea of time traveling in this episode, but it did manage to deliver a good episode.

Akiko was such a klutz this episode xD. Forgets to keep an eye on the food, and the wooden porch fell apart lol.

Another lovely episode. If I'm not mistaken, the original colonists arrived on Aqua about 150 years prior to Akari's own time. This might make the past time more than a century earlier. Maybe some of the familiar faces from the past were the great grandparents of the main characters.

In the case of any connection between Akari and Akiko, Akari had arrived from Manhome, so maybe Akiko is some distant ancestor that proceeded her to Aqua, or perhaps the connection is purely spiritual.

I liked the different version of the usual OP and the insert song.

So Akari travelled to past. To think, it would go that far in supernatural tag.

Young Aika is so cute <3 Dat Alice-like-girl and Athena-in-her-50-kinda-old-lady, I wonder if they are mothers of Athena and Alice. Then again, that wouldn't explain the presence of Aika there, Athena is much older than both of them. So maybe it was just history repeating it self?

Next episode is final and I don't want to say goodbye to that awesome ED and OP...

It seems like every new episode I watch, it just tops the previous episode I watched.

I got goosebumps and emotional when the water first came by and Akari's dialogue for Aqua's future. How amazing <3.

Also, that montage really made me sad as it shows that this season is going to be over. I'm not for one with montages but dang it, this felt like it was well used.

I wonder what the theme of the episode was. I'm thinking it's to cherish the people of the past because their actions are what made the present today. Especially Aqua's past because they in essence made heaven.

That moment when you rewatch Aria and you stumble across "avvenire" (future), which is the title of the new Aria OVA but at the same time a reference to this episode.
Aria just never lets me down and let me tell you I'm possibly enjoying it even more now than I did while watching it the first time..

It's truly amazing how much a rewatch can redefine episodes like this. This just went from one of the less memorable episodes to one of my favorites. I nearly teared up watching the water fill up the canal. Those people pioneered such a wonderful place and it's incredible to think how such a small step led to such an incredible future.

Interesting. So there was a little flashback to the cat town. I'm guessing it's also in the past because the letter the girl gave Akari lead them to a place that no longer existed. I wonder what the time travel has to do with Aqua and Akari since she seems to be the only one experiencing it so far. Just my rambles.
