the ending was great and quite messed up in a good way , now all we need is explanations as for why she and her uncle did that . It's surely not a coincidence as for why this Happens now , she's been trapped in here for Fifteeen years , she has books 15 Volumes long , the sentence "Everything becomes F" in her computer , F is 15 in Hexadecimal that many connections to 15 can't be a coincidence .
So maybe she had planned something , was it her death ? we"ll find out soon i guess . I say that because i've always find it weird that someone that smart got killed in a Room where there's only 1 Entrance / Exit . It's not like the Killer could've taken her by Surprise

well both magata and the director got killed.

The same 2 people that killed magata's parents. The only one that knows that Director with magata killed the parents is his wife.

So i guess the murderer should be someone close to the director's wife or something?Someone that learned what the director and magata did.
If the killer was someone that was not linked to her parents/family what would be the point of killing the director?there really is no reason. Its obvious the killer wanted to kill both magata and the director^^.

Tho i have to say damn Magata was really a psycho ***tch,at just the age of 13 she seduced her uncle and used him to kill her parents, thats just twisted and not even clever for a genius. What freedom would she gain from it,locked up in a lab for 15 years and used for her research.....

Didnt it ever cross her mind that if she commited a crime such as this it would give leverage to people to use her whichever way they want?
For a genius she really had a twisted mind.

so the uncle wanted to fuck magata, they told her parents , they said no . and well they killed them.

To be honest I don't think it's like that. It seems too easy... also there was a weird time skip. In the last episode we saw Magata giving the knife to the uncle so that he could go camping and things like that... And in this one he is holding the knife ready to kill the parents. There is a gap there and that is the motive to kill her parents. However we do not yet know what it is exactly. On the other hand only Magata Shiki had a motive to kill her parents and not the other personalities so it can't be as simple as just wanting to kill them so that she can be with the uncle.
And by the way... I wonder if the location of the lab was something to do with her uncle's dream of going somewhere far away and surviving on his own and things like that... Also was Shiki in love with her uncle or...?
In any case, Shiki seems pretty evil but I do not dislike her... I just feel really bad for her. I really despise her uncle though, how could he lay a hand on her...? and kill her parents? gosh... just because he has that "nice guy" expression he doesn't seem so bad but he's a pure evil, self-centered child abuser... =.=

I was thinking that F in "Subete ga F ni naru" could mean Free instead of fifteen or both or idk >.>
And I was also thinking that 15's meaning could be related to the fact that "7 is a lonely number" <.<

Lol at how Moe got drunk via non-alcoholic beer xD

Really liked the buildup towards Moe and Souhei coming to the decision of staying at the lab to see this mystery through to the end and solve it

But man that ending was just fucked up lol....I called her uncle killing her parents but I kinda ruled out that Shiki actually killed them herself as well so that caught me by surprise a little

I don't think they told them, but anyway..

We've already been shown that.

Ep 5 beginning:
Him: "...The ultimate freedom"
Her: "Why don't you do it?"
Him: "Because there are things holding me back."

Now consider her giving him the knife with the words "a tool to free yourself" (ep 5 near the end).

I'd say it was a not so subtle suggestion, which was the reason for this line:
"Free... I realized what she meant, and I felt my body shake with terror and joy." at the end of ep 5.

Do you still think the knife was intended for camping?

What an ending.....
So freaking creepy, there is so many creepy scene tbh.
And "Everything becomes F" F is Fifteen ? Everything becomes fifteen ? what is the meaning of that. seriously, when he said "Everything becomes fifteen" The first thing that came into my mind was Magata personality. They got a few hints too btw.
I like it. the show is getting interesing, but the way they made the ed is too madness or more like insane and creepy.

Well, i knew that knife was meaning to kill Magata parents, but the scene just appear without me knowing it , so it was really suprised me.

This is a good theory, indeed

It's too draggy though. They clearly haven't paced this all that well in the slightest. 6 episodes in is movie length, should have been finished this episode in all honesty. This isn't even close to the likes of Hercule Poirot series's (Season 12) Murder on Orient Express, which is a novel adapted into 90 minutes.

I think they just say it's non-alcoholic cause Japanese people are not very open to underage drinking. I thought it was more like "of course this is NON-ALCOHOLIC *wink wink*" lol

Great episode, I liked how they stepped back to the camp to think about what happened and to sum up all clues. And I simply lloved Moe's conversions with Saikawa by the fireworks.
Was her (not) getting drunk toned-down only for anime?

There were many weird and suspicious moments though. First, Yamane was suspicious during his offer to Saikawa, she is not the killer but he seems to be hiding something. Second, the way murdered corpse started to rot seems to be the proof of her death (it didn't smell the day before) though it can be something to drive them off from checking - as noone really wanted to check her thoroughly. And the last,

Still think there is a real possibility it was suicide. And when she would lost her will to live you're asking? The answer is when she lost her loved one.
Or this is actually all Miki's scheme to overtake the lab. And Miki is actually Shiki who went up with the elevator to the roof to greet them - or they just brought false body down there.

She was fifteen when she gave her first personality 15 years to live, and now her second personality was given the same.

The actual murder was pretty shocking, not because they had shown it all but because of how natural action it was for her.

Episode, the thing that has satisfied my curiosity is able to find a shred of evidence that may be starting the investigation of the protagonists. Yes, interesting dialogues and deep considerations, as well as the carrying out of events occurring during the youth of Professor Magata, but they are things that I was not involved that much. Drawings and animations on the edge of sufficiency, you should improve this aspect in my speech.

Forgot if they mentioned how Moe's parents died early on in the series, but the last few episodes keep giving me a feeling that Saikawa might be involved in their deaths somehow. Would explain the sort of distance he keeps from Moe, and his view on Magata's morals.

Might be a long shot, but he's definitely keeping some stuff to himself. Maybe I'm just dumb and forgot if they mentioned her parents were in a car crash or something.

Anyway, love this anime. I've been completely drawn into it every episode. The opening's amazing, too.

A crazy ending with a lot of bloodshed. So both Magata and her uncle are murderers?

It was a fairly good episode with some changes compared to the previous episodes where we were locked inside the lab and all kinds of suspense took place. Nishinosono was so cute with that drunken voice.

I've come to learn that seeing Saikawa without a cigarette in his mouth is a rarity.

A pretty good sort of recap type of episode, followed with an intense flashback-ending.

By the way, I’m not sure if someone already mentioned this or not, but isn’t the knife Shiki gave her uncle the same knife he was stabbed in the back in the helicopter? It looked somewhat similar…. or maybe it’s just me.

Okay so I have a huge theory but bits and bobs are huge leaps and guesses (as most theories are) so sorry if they're a bit weird. Spoilers may be below?

First Part
It is impossible for anyone to get in and out of that room. Impossible. We keep thinking "How did someone get into the room then if it's impossible?" The only logical thing I can think of is that someone else was in there since that start.
Remember in episode 4, Moe asked "Why did Magata need the room if she never had any guests?"
There were two chairs in the kitchen(?) area as well. Balloons. TV. Lego. A teddy. She bought them years ago. A sewing machine (which I have gathered is to make clothes for someone besides her.) The lego, ballons, TV and teddy bear are quite child like and don't really fit a character like Dr Magata.
So if you piece all the things together, the person who was in the room from the start was her child.
She was 13, definitely old enough to start menstruation and she was with the uncle. It definitely seemed like they were in a sort of sexual kind of relationship.

Second Part
The family. The whole killing thing.
"I won't let you do this said the father" "She screamed like she was possessed"- This is what her aunt said she witnessed. Her father obviously disagreed with something and I don't think he would have argued with her about something small. I definitely think it was something big, especially to make her scream at his disagreement.
"She wouldn't let anyone interfere with her actions, even her parents" is what Saikawa said. Whatever she told her parents, they didn't agree with and they said no way and she flipped. I also don't think she would have killed them for a simple reason.
She knew there was a huge chance of them disagreeing, hence why she brought the knife for her uncle.
Also, staying inside her room for 15 years is the exact opposite of freedom, even if her parents aren't there. She's barely free, it was like she was locked up.
If my previous theory (part 1) is correct, she didn't kill her parents for freedom. She killed them because she either told them about the relationship with her uncle or about the baby. Maybe both.

Third Part
This bit and the Fourth bit are my "huge leaps".
I'll get straight to the point. I don't think the person we see at the very start is Magata Shiki. I didn't from the moment Moe had asked who she was and appeared thrown off by the question (according to Moe.) There's no reason to put that little detail in if it wasn't for a reason.

Fourth Part
Biggest leap and bound.
I'm terrible when it comes to crime things, I will sit down and watch half an episode, piece things up for days and then come back to the other half of the episode.
So after going over everything, I thought, well if the at the start of episode that girl wasn't Magata and was her daughter, wouldn't that mean that the girl on the trolley wasn't Magata but was indeed her daughter? She looked way too young to be over 20, I think this was mentioned in the first few episodes but I was too lazy to go back and confirm it because these parts may be too big a guess and there's little plot holes.
They'd probably both look very similar too and seeing as no one has seen her for years, the people in the lab probably wouldn't know who was who even if you switched them around.
Also, now the freedom bit comes in.
If that person was on the trolley thing was Magata's daughter and Magata had killed her, she would have escaped afterwards and left. She's free.

Now there's a few things that I can't piece together at all.
The robot. It's definitely there for a reason.
The sister. Her arrival was too odd to not put into the equation.
The multiple personalities on the computer.
Why they also killed the uncle.

I agree that he may have had something to do with it. Just the fact "Magata" bought up Saikawa and Moe's parents death and mentioned there was someone with her.
Also, there was a figure behind Moe and the figure reminded me of Saikawa even though his face was blurred out but maybe that's just because we see them together so often that I feel it can only be him?

I don't understand how this show feels like it's 10 minutes long when it's actually 20 min, it's extremely entertaining if you like mystery.

I'm still EXTREMELY concerned about the dead "Shiki" in the wedding dress and the dressing cart. There is enough room for 1 person to be under the serving cart, but I'm not sure how the elevator fits in the case. We'll see I quess.

Still, I get the fucking chills everytime they go pass it, almost literally shitting myself.

It's definetly a good watch if you enjoy mystery. Hah. Can't wait for the next episode.
