I thought the episode was pleasant and overall fitting for the mood of Non Non Biyori. Always have to be prepared for rain in their countryside...Renge is adorable as ever and I find her friends equally as fun to watch even with the rainy weather.  |

| I almost died laughing. Again, amazing episode. Renge is great. And that scenery porn. Art is even greater than 1st season (even comparing to BR). One of the best looking anime which I've ever seen. Everything looks so beautiful. This is the reason why I hate 3DCG shit. 3D will never be looking as good as traditional 2d animation (I don't really mind if CG is used for post-processing, I'm talking about shitty 3d models). I love that atmosphere too, NNB is in general one of the best anime ever made. |

| That was PURE Non Non Biyori feeling in this episode, much love for this episode. Man, that was great. Funny in the first half and the great melancholic scenes in the second half. Both felt like the first season <3 |
| Ren-chon made for a fine slasher movie villain...err teru-teru bouzu! :D Good to finally see Candy Store this season, even if only for a few seconds. The tadpole shrimp death and new life story was rather emotional. The rainy and sunny weather really helped emphasize it too. Solid episode. |
| I don't like this. I thought the last two episodes were showing a lot more promise than the show had ever had, but now it's just reverting to the same old boring show where nothing ever happens again. This episode didn't even make me smile, let alone laugh :/ |

| Komari's shock was very funny. And Ren chan learned a lot this episode tho it was a bit sad to watch when the animals she was caring for died. And the candy store owner appeared again, was about time. |

| Omg, that teru-teru bouzu outfit that Renge made, so funny! Sad Renge made me sad, happy Renge made it all better again. Nice job Natsumi. And always nice to hear that refreshing ED again. Nice episode again! |

| wonderful episode. The teru-teru bouzu gag was hilarious, and it had to be Koma-chan the scardy-cat who encounters Renge in the fog. I laughed hard at that scene. Renge learns a valuable lesson about the circle of life regarding her tadpole shrimp. Great ending how Natsumi comes through for Ren-chon in the end. |
| I always thought Teru Teru Bozu looks kinda depressing, cause the way they hang, and it feel like it's came down from some human sacrifice ritual from the past, hanging of a bald monk, or some obscure folktale, reminds me of a clown wearing a T-shirt that says "I can't say no". And this is how and why we associate rain, or different weather with certain emotions. |

| I continued my usual habit and immediately watched Season 1/Episode 4, and again this takes place just after Season 2/Episode 4. It starts with the summer vacation closing ceremony and Renge catching the crab "Salt" in the stream. Natsu quips, "You're not very good at naming things," which must be an allusion to "Flatty-san." Ha ha ha. Of course Season 1/Episode 4 has the great scene of friendship between Renge and Honoka. Both seasons' episode 4 had an emotional moment for Ren-chon. I'm enjoying comparing the episodes in chronological order. |

| This was great, particularly the second half. We get to see how Renge copes with the death of a pet. I love how she doesn't start bawling when she's upset but instead exhibits a kind of stoic silence that manages to complement the still scenery shots and calm atmosphere of the show. That moment when she drew a self-portrait and then added tears to her eyes... well, that got me. It was much more powerful than an outburst of real tears would have been. Though I was somewhat disappointed at the first couple of episodes, this one brought back the elements that made the first season so special. |

| I didn't expect to see something depressing this episode, with Flatty-san dying... oh Ren-chon. >.< I really like the Teru Teru Bouzu bit and they really don't show what I want to see, they haven't shown us Ren-chon fully biking. >_< Also, a reference to the convenience store in the last episode, if you think about it, you can watch this episode before the previous one... same to the first episode that is a "prequel" to the first season (where Hotaru just moved). Seems they are really doing the "repeats" this season. |

| Renge became Teru Teru Bozu very hilarious which the ink got washed away by rain. Koma-chan feared until she cried,though she said it was due to the rain. Lol This was the first Renge made a sad face. Watching her being sad, made me sad too. |

| Fantastic episode!! At first I thought damn the director for showing that drawing of Renge with tears, it reminded me of that very long shot of Renge's face in season 1 when her friend went back to the city. It was such a simple shot but because it was Renge (again) it became more heart wrenching than actually seeing her cry. But then.... it turned out that Flatty-san laid eggs and Ren-chon's happy face was just... NNNGGGGGHHHHHH!! Plus with that background music and the environment shots that scene was literally like a sun shining after a heavy storm in your heart. manongmorcon said: Meh, your typical MAL people who rather point out the negatives on good shows like this. Can't please everyone. Last episode someone complained there were too much comedy in this season and now that this episode is closer to S1's feeling, some will complain that nothing ever happened. In the end people would always find something to complain. |

I don't know why you think "something should happen", it's a show to watch for escapism and relaxation. We are viewing there everyday lives, hence why it's called a slice of life. |

| Renge-chan, why are your drawings so damn excellent?! >__< That aside, this episode was just awesome! Renge going out in the rain as a life-sized Teru-Teru Bouzu was pretty cute, but it gave Komari a heart attack thanks to Renge carrying the bucket & spade through the fog. Very funny! =D Then the second half of the episode was pure brilliance. Poor Renge must've been upset that flatty-san died, but thanks to Natsumi, the tadpoles did lay eggs in the fish tank, then they eventually hatched into new tadpole shrimps. Couple that with the OST and beautiful scenery shots got me to shed a few tears. T_T Looks like for the next episode, the girls will be enjoying themselves with the pool it seems. |

| Best episode of this second season so far. The first half with Renge dressing up as a Teru-Teru Bouzu was pretty funny, especially because of how scared Komari got by it. And the second half with the Flatty-sans was great, and once again did an excellent job with the emotional side of things and reflecting Renge's sadness at the death of the Flatty-sans. And her reaction to the baby Flatty-sans was great as well. Her drawings are so good too. |
| Fantastic episode of Non Non Biyori Repeat! The first episode was a lot of fun and hilarious with the whole Teru Teru Bozu stuff. Renge wearing the mask and scaring Komachi and even Renge's sister did the same thing. The 2nd half was by the far the best part of the episode though. Renge was so enthusiastic about the tadpole shrimp that she kept a journal about them. She even gave them a cute name, Flatty-san. When Flatty-san died and they had to bury them I felt so bad for Renge. It got even sadder when Renge went home and drew herself with tears. Natsumi is such a caring friend though, she realised that there may have been eggs and they were able to hatch in freshwater. Renge quickly changed her drawing and it made me smile so much. God, I love how Non Non Biyori is such a feel good anime and is so heartwarming. <3 5/5 |
