And the bunny princess is useless, she constantly needs to be saved. Wasn't she supposed to be one of the strongest warriors? did she win over the men because they stared at her tits and this strategy just isn't working on the monsters? It doesn't make anything better if you dress up a guy as ridiculous as the girls. This looked promising at the beginning, but I'm thinking I might drop it. I love the visuals as well as the setting, and I definitely like that this isn't a generic reverse harem type of show (I should say that if there ever was a reverse harem on the level of To-Love-Ru I would probably watch it with glee), but something about this show grates on my nerves. Maybe it is the princess motif. The prostitute princess with the heart of gold who is "naive of native customs" annoys me. Akatsuki no Yona has a far better type of this character. And then giving this character bunny girl ears almost demands that I bitch slap the writer (Gate's treatment of the Bunny Girl motif is far superior). I haven't written this show off yet, I like the visuals and setting after all, but I hope that the next episode or two will redeem the series. Ah, at least one other who thinks like that. None of them behave like an idiot. Their respective actions are actually very sensical and if you think the contrary you didn't think or watch properly. One of the most interesting point in this show in the first few episode is that no one for once is behaving unnaturally. The princess didn't need to be saved a single time. Neither with adlet, nor with Goldof, nor when she was alone. Her fights are a bit messy with some mistake but she was never in danger. Goldof is over protective and killing stuff without cooperating. She didn't need hep her, she was already ready to fire on that kangaroo-like fiends when goldof hit it. She can create shield with blade so she's not defenceless against attacks, as you saw her at the end. Simply put, goldof don't let her attack or defend herself, he kills before she can do it. Well, then again having both goldof and nashetania for two fiends was overkill anyway. It's first striking first killing here. The princess has bunny ears because lots of the warriors/pienna family members have animal symbol as a tradition. I mean come on, you saw eagles(warrior at the beginning)/Bear(warrior at the beginning)/frog(chamo in the opening)/cat(Hans in the opening))/sheep(goldof with the horns) symbols and so on already, there was also some on the king and so on, but the only one you"re unable to accept is the rabbit one? Why? Because of bunny girls? If you didn't notice, her armor parts have animal symbolisms as well. You're complaining over nothing. |

- Adelt walking away from Fremy showing he is so brave and trusting her while he actually observe through the mirror. - The weird letters These were the highlights of the episode for me XD Also, why would all the heros want to kill Fremy? On a side note: I don't find myself enjoying the show yet I'll keep watching because it is not too bad and I don't have lots to watch this season. I find myself disliking many characters, on the top of them the bunny princess. I am not a fan of bunny people in general nor barely existing women clothing (for both princess and Fremy). Also, the princess appears to be not brave enough to fight any of the devils! and Fremy is annoying mysterious cliche girl. |

Another excellent episode though. SAME. I'm so mad about the synopsis. That would've made a great plot twist... I feel like it was a spoiler instead :/ This was kind of a slow episode, but I'm liking the series anyway. |

I swear I save this show every week for that day in the week when it seems like life's being a drag, and this show manages to lift me up every single time. Love the wonderful pacing and world building of this show. They do so well to balance out the fast action scenes with the intuitive conversations where appropriate. It does wonders for providing necessary exposition and in effect for world building as well. The character interactions are so diverse, and are a lot of fun to see. Adelt gives off the vibe of a boastful, loud, arrogant character, but you catch glimpses here and there that he may not be showing all his cards. The talk with Fremy and his subsequent action of walking away with a mirror in hand showed at least that he does bluff at times, and that he's not as boisterous and trusting as his "presented" personality would make him seem. I do have my issues with him though, because as good a fighter as he is, I do not agree with his boast about being the "most powerful man in the world", and his defense of himself for using tricks and cheap tactics is pretty ridiculous (the use of those tricks and being "Strongest in the world" seem mutually exclusive in my books, hence his boast is getting on my nerves). I probably wouldn't mind it as much if he just dropped the "Strongest" boast. I also get the feeling that him and Goldof are definitely not going to get along, and not just for obvious reasons (and by that I obviously mean Nashetania). In contrast, Fremy has in one episode leaped up to top spot on my favorites list. Not just because of Aoi Yuuki's beautifully appropriate voice, but also because despite her non-trusting and confrontational attitude, you can totally see that she doesn't lie. Rather she'd prefer not to explain things, even to annoying people that she doesn't feel like associating with, but she was never once untruthful about her actions and her motives. Plus the fact that she'd rather run away to avoid butting heads with the other Rokkas, makes me trust her more than any of the other characters that've been shown thus far. NOT to mention that seeing her all out of breath and flustered after Adelt stole her bullet pouch was unnaturally cute.... for some reason. :P As for Goldof, as I mentioned last episode, he seems like a loyal dog who will protect the hare even at the expense of his life, to me he feels more like a loyal Slaine character (who actually has a brain) who will do everything to protect his Hime from harm. The way he fights those fiends kind of showed this episode. He'll probably have many issues with Adelt, on the surface for siding with Fremy, but ultimately more to jealousy at Nashitania's friendliness to Adelt, and of course Adelt's flamboyant nature. I doubt that Goldof would be a Brave-Killer, but I wouldn't doubt for a second that he would betray the others at the drop of a hat if it was for Nashitania. As of this moment, I actually find both Goldof and Fremy to be less suspicious than Adelt (who obviously hasn't shown all his cards) and Nashitania (who, as I mentioned last week, also seems to have her own agenda). I love this show. I'm enjoying the aspect of observing and analyzing each and every character's interactions on the weekly and reassessing them after additional information for each character comes to light. Also enjoying the pace at which they introduce the mechanics of the world, the fight against the Demon Lord, and all characters on the side. So now we know that Mora passed through the defensive outpost with another Rokka, Fremy and Adelt are travelling together, as well as Nashitania and Goldof. Seriously, if they hadn't spoiled us in the introduction synopsis, this show would 've still been perfectly awesome, and they could have had another cliffhanger/plot twist when they arrive at the meeting area and 7 people show up. I'm really, really looking forward to the next episode and the aftermath of the battle. Personally I expect Fremy to run off and Adelt to follow after the dust settles. I just can't see Goldof and Fremy joining up as travel buddies, even if Adelt were there to smooth things over. As for the name debate, I think Zefyris you were referring to this? |

I don't see any reason for some of the stupid character designs in the clothing department mainly. It's almost traditional in heroic fantasy setting in the west to have some female warriors in revealing clothes. If you didn't see, there is a male in revealing clothes too, and there is several females that aren't in revealing clothes. So rejected. As for the bunny ear, I'm rejecting it. If that was for such petty reason, she would be on the cover volume yet she's one of the character that have yet to have one (whereas fremy has already two. If anyone is the poster girl of that title, that's fremy, not nashetania. What's the use of making a design to attract customer if you don't use that character as a poster girl afterwards? None. Because the covers are seriously not fan-servicy at all. So yes, that's just your assumptions. That don't even make sense. So is the novel translation cool? I kinda went and spoiled the first volume for myself before the mystery even started. Damn it. Actually, I have a feeling that the synopsis presenting a 4th episode (?) twist as part of the premise was what made me impatient. But then again, without that the series would've sounded painfully generic and I wouldn't be watching. |

I agree that she is still a newbie in real fights something that she admitted herself (+1) but saying she didn't need saving is going a bit too far. She completely missed the fiend in her first fight alongside Adlet when she fired her magic at the fiends charging towards her with her eyes closed, only for Adlet to take out one and then immediately throw his sword on the back of the second fiend's head allowing her the split seconds to react. She was shown panting right after taking it out showing it was a close call. And when she fought alongside Goldov, okay she missed the first fiend that avoided the trap she set but when the second one popped out of nowhere she was just looking at it without doing anything as Goldov did some unnecessary acrobatics to take it out. I was planning to make GIFs but I wouldn't because it's not worth my time since you are entitled for your opinion and disagree. |

They wasted a lot of time on that little moe slut, I mean, no background history, just "we'll kill each other" bullshit. I'm just watching until now because MC is a nice guy. |

Lets all start killing eachother! That is all this episode says |
"I lost all of what you could call feelings of love. They weren't sealed, so they can't be released. They weren't broken, so they can't be fixed. That which is lost, cannot be recovered." Shiba Tatsuya "There are no regrets. If one can be proud of one's life, one should not wish for another chance." Saber "No matter what happens, no matter how crazy things get, I'll always try to restore balance." Korra "It's madness to let others take what's yours and accept it blindly." Baatar Jr "Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body, hoping to be wrong." Zaheer "Partner in crime, partner in time" Chloe Price and Max Caulfield |

Her fights are a bit messy with some mistake but she was never in danger. I strongly disagree because the anime has shown otherwise. Her reactions in two separate incidents showed she was either startled or in a bad situation and NEEDED to be protected. Either the source material has been changed significantly so you, as a reader, overlooked the obvious moments or you simply haven't seen enough anime. Except no? I am anime only viewer and all I saw was her stressing out for a first battle, being capable in the second and Goldof cockblocking her twice in the third. |

Which one of the girls are you speaking about? If it's Fremy, isn't it obvious that it is because she is the (suspected) killer of the potential Rokka? |

Calling Fremy a "moe slut", wow. I never thought I would see something like that one day. MAL is sure amazing, surprising me again and again by how much idiotic comments can become. As for Nashetania, in the first fight she killed more fiends than adlet, and the last one killed by adlet had its head cut a second after receiving the knife in the head. Even without Adlet's knife, that fiend was going to die. In the second battle, 3 fiends were extremely close to her and she was riding her horse so the horse was in the way, and she wasn't injured. The horse died though, hence why I say it's messy. The same goes for her others fights, she makes mistakes. Never dangerous one, since she can protect herself just fine from such a low number of fiends, but she definitely make mistakes. The third fight, she was already waving her wand to kill the first fiend (which btw, wasn't going to attack her anyway since it turned back toward goldof, look back at tha tscene. The fiend stop, turn back toward goldof while Nashetania is starting to attack, and get killed by goldof before Nashetania can attack herself. ) The second fiend in the third fight didn't even move to attack. It was killed as soon as it appeared. So no saving there again. Seriously looking at the kind of attacks and Defences Nashetania can do at the end of episode 3, do you seriously believe that an isolated fiend ever stood a chance. |

Might as well drop it if you're just into "hipster" animes. The story goes far from just simple fights & villains, that's why its slow pace is setting up all the necessary details to make the story progress towards an unexpected course.Average episode Mc is a bit boring, always insisting he is the strongest one in the world blah blah... I don't like the bunny princess either. I hope other braves are more interesting Lastly, we need a 'real' villain here!!! DrZed said: It will barely cover the 1st volume, I mentioned it before because of the slow pacing 1st volume has, which isn't bad since they will stay mostly loyal to the LN. Surprised how slow this adaption is taking it. Third episode already and we've not even gotten into the main plot of the first novel. At this pace it's definitely not going past the first two novels. CrotakuShinobi said: Are you just ignoring what happened? Have you even paid attentions to detail of how the temple can be activated, the king's decision, two other braves already in the rendesvouz point? They also gave Fremy some character progress and insight about her personality. I think that these type of comments really don't belong her. If you don't enjoy slow pace anime and ignore all being said on the anime, you will just trashtalk about the anime without even trying to focus on what's happening.Lets all start killing eachother! That is all this episode says Zefyris said: I don't see how she is a moe slut either, I mean, there was no fanservice or erotic scenes to actually call her that. This isn't some stupid harem anime at all. She is well reserved, precautious, and even doubtful of a kind man like Adlet. Her mind being confused due to Adlet's action is a normal reaction. Calling Fremy a "moe slut", wow. I never thought I would see something like that one day. MAL is sure amazing, surprising me again and again by how much idiotic comments can become. About Nashetania, she can be dumb at times but as Adlet said, she may be green in experience but she does have a soul of a warrior. And I trust Adlet's intuition on Nashetania. Made an account just to say... I really hate Fremy. She's every cookiecutter generic kuudere who is badass and wants to be alone but probably has some tragic past that explains her personality and abilities. And then Adlet will eventually thaw her out of this ice-queen persona and she will join the team or some bullshit. Boring, snore, Bunny Princess more interesting. Also, to the people calling the princess useless, shut yer mouth. She's inexperienced but not useless. The black haired guy is just super protective (since he's her knight or something) of her and kill steals so she doesn't get hurt. If anything, Bunny Princess has more personality than Ms. Ohh-look-at-me-I'm-stoic-wear-all-black-and-use-a-gun-2edgy4u. |

I've liked a dozen other kuuderes, and I like Fremy too. In fact, all of the characters in Rokka aren't some kind of revelation (Well, it's harder to attach a label to Mora and Nashetania, but i'm sure there are a lot of similar characters). Why would you "really hate" a character for being cookie-cutter? |

I love Fremy's design. She's soooo pretty! I'd love to cosplay as her, but it might be weird wearing just that black strap across my chest...I love her hair and eyes and giant flower though! |
