The animation doesn't bother me much, but it was even worse than usual this episode with all the pedestrians standing still. Most of the episode was pretty boring with all the chasing, but the end was a bit funny. This wasn't even close to the previous episodes imo, but it looks like we'll have a pretty silly one next week, which is nice.

I didn't really notice it that much the previous episodes, but it's pretty clear to me that there's a lack of quality in the episode. There was a wonderful failure of a lip syncing scene and the character art itself is lacking. The backgrounds are probably the best thing about the art, because they aren't bad. They're not masterpieces, but they are good enough that I wouldn't complain about it. The voice actors haven't really been bothering me as much as other people, and I actually kind of like Suzune's voice (but it's probably more of a personal preference than anything else). Kagami's voice is annoying, though. Animation obviously isn't the high point of this show, but I think I can ignore it if I just keep staring at the subtitles. The comedy seemed pretty uninspired to me, so that was a brilliant waste of 10 or so minutes.

On the up-side, it seems like the plot came back in the last 2 or so minutes, but even that has become pretty boring and uninspired to me. The story isn't really that deep anyway, but maybe it'll surprise me at some point. I might continue watching for a few more episodes. The characters are pretty average (maybe even below average) in terms of depth and their interactions with each other. This anime had its moments, but even those moments weren't that great. Maybe this anime is intended for a different audience than I originally thought. Coming from something like Hyouka and Oregairu Zoku, Denpa Kyoushi just doesn't compare. I suppose I should have watched this when I had nothing else left on my list. The synopsis was ominous, but I thought it might have more depth than I thought.

I'm not usually one to notice so many flaws in a show (hell, people are berating Oregairu Zoku for having a rather unimpressive start with nothing really happening in the episodes, but I found the episodes rather interesting and I think they serve well as build-up episodes) and complain about it in so much depth, but I think Denpa Kyoushi is one of those anime that have the potential to be a good and interesting show, but fall flat in its execution. Because, honestly, I don't think I'd be praising this as a masterpiece even if it got everything right and managed to be entertaining and have me anticipating the next episode as much as I am with Oregairu Zoku, but I believe it has the potential to be a genuinely good show. That's what I thought when I read the synopsis, and I hope that Denpa Kyoushi can recover from these speed bumps and exceed my expectations next episode.

If Denpa Kyoushi doesn't get back on track and show me that i'm wrong about its mediocrity next episode, I'm going to drop it; there's just not enough time to watch all the shows this season, and Denpa Kyoushi is taking up a valuable spot in my watch roster that could be substituted for a show that's not a masterpiece, but good and fun to watch.

i am 110% watching this because it's been a while since i've seen something so appalling.
it's so bad, how did they even achieve this level of terrible?
the script is terrible, the art/animation is horrible, how are the facial expressions and features so misaligned and awkward? even the voice acting is weak.
i want to watch this crash and burn.

God wtf happened to this show. i barely see this much of drop of plot quality from ep1 to ep 3. What happened to the great teacher onizuka similairties with a different and interesting cast?? now its just some sort of sorry gag anime. Also how does he just leave the old school so easily. Man i hate to hate on professionals, but the director fucked this show up already

The plot really wasn't shown in episode 1 or 2 since he was moving between schools. I think they were more setup episodes for the rest of the show. The plot from episode 3 onward should be more structured.

Again; this show doesn't have similarities with GTO. The people who were shipping this is GTO 2.0 really didn't know anything about this series, or they were trying to make it so that people would bash this into oblivion.

What the hell happened to the animation? It looks more unattractive than before. The story is alright, but the art just mocked it out of regret. I do hope its resilience will come to show any time like next episode.

Still distracted to the animation (oh gosh the faces, the proportion, the background) and Rena Matsui (she NEEDS some seiyuu training) to the point that I don't know whether I should take this anime seriously (in the manga, yes). That references though.

Sasuga A-1, now I'm glad they didn't picked my expectation though Hiroshi Kamiya is here buuuut Junichiro is a good character so I'm okay with that.
The world shall know the truth soon.

It's not the animation that makes it a poor 4/10

It's the horrible pacing and joke sense that made me start skipping during the B part.

Rena sounds like she was recorded in her room without proffesional equipment.

The only interesting and fleshed out character is face'punch

For some reason this anime is boring, when I first read the manga few years ago, I remember getting really hooked and continue reading until I'm half way done with all the released chapters. I wonder why the anime didn't do the same to me.

I mean, it's not like this is the first anime I've watched after reading its manga and knowing what's about to happen, so I wonder why I feel so bored?

This episode was over the top but if i think about it so was this part in the manga.
And judging by my memory and the preview next week will be about the most boring this in anime aka maids.
Well guess it's the nature of this anime.

lol, that reference to Kana Hanazawa. Junichirou knows what's up.

This episode was a quite ehh. Koyomi is a typical rich girl who uses the power that she has to try to get what she wants like hiring 200 agents to spy and capture Junichirou! o_O And they still couldn't get him.

Junichirou is the only funny and likable character so far to me, though, I did like Minako. Hope she appears again soon.

I feel like A-1 Pictures just used whatever leftover money they had available to throw in another series this season when they already have a few other series airing as well. The art just feels weird. The cover looks better than the actual show and the animation is quite questionable.

Not a very good episode, this adaptation has seriously disappointed me so far. So many unnecessary changes, like seriously whats the point. Suzune's voice is not a good fit either. I see it's her first role, but she just doesn't fit the character, it's not about whether she's bad or good, she just doesn't fit the part. I find that all the voice recording sounds a little weird too, not just Suzune's.

As for the art, the characters all look off, like there's something wrong with them. The background characters all standing around motionless was also weird, it made Akiba just feel so lifeless. The backgrounds themselves at times weren't bad, but noting to go crazy about, just average.

I'm gonna keep watching, but if things don't get better I'll probably just drop it, which sucks as I was looking forward to this as a fan of the manga. I know this series can be good, and I really hope it turns around.

I don't really care about the quality of the animation if it keeps me entertained, but this episode failed at both. The chase was so boring and the animation didn't help either. I really thought he would accept the offer and I would know how he would deal with the new school, but nope, let's shop. And in the end, he was not wanting to teach at the school, but if a maid cafe worker gets kicked out because of her job he suddenly wants to defend the maid, accept the job and teach everybody how wonderful her job is, at least it is what it looked like, please, DROPPED, when there is so much anime going on in the season I feel no need to give attention to something that bores me when I have limited time to watch them.

This show is so bad it's good. I've seen worse animation, so I'll stick around. I mean, it's at least more entertaining than Blade and Soul.

Did the music when they were chasing him sound a lot like Evangelion music to you guys at all? This song in specific

around the beginning, the trumpets or whatever, have the same beat. Like seriously go to the 9 minute mark. After the break, the song is the exact same lol Makes sense though, cause they're in a high tech setting when that song plays, and the people sound like they're from NERV.

You'd think that A1 blew all of their budget for Shigatsu (deservedly so) and looking only for a quick moneymaker now without using much budget.

I think, i will drop this since Saturday is so packed and i might eventually forget about this series with so much going on.

Animation studios aren't given a yearly blanket budget or anything similar as you seem to believe. The budget is given on a per series basis and adaptations typically don't even start production until the production committee starts shopping around for a studio to work on them. For instance, manga publishers are one of the members of a production committee for manga adaptations, in addition to record labels and the like, so the reason Shigatsu had a nice budget to work with was because A-1 was given the appropriate budget to reach the visual quality that the committee desired.

Similarly, Denpa Kyoushi clearly wasn't given much money to work with and that resulted in the low visual quality we see here. Whether the staff is too small, isn't being given adequate time or is composed of considerably less-skilled industry members is anyone's guess.

It's also worth mentioning, given the show's timeslot, that it's intended to be long-running and as I'm sure we all know, those shows aren't that interested in visual quality, nor do they have the money required to keep up with the visual standards set by one or two cour shows.

The quality is just so horrendous, but that's ironically making it more laughable and entertaining. Amusing as Koyomi would put it. I have to admit though, when I saw this get announced as 24 episodes all motivation to watch was sapped away so it's nice that I actually mildly enjoyed this episode. The final minutes in particular now have me interested in what's going to happen next. As soon as twintails trashed maid cafes I knew Kagami was gonna lay down some real talk.

Pretty amusing episode. I loved how he got back at Options girl by hacking the system and shutting it down. Too bad the sis captures him, with a NET.

That twin tailed kendo girl was being all aggressive but then Kagami gets serious and she's at a loss of words. I'm going to enjoy seeing Twin Tails act all nervous, based on the preview for next episode.

I was going to complain about the animation quality, but it seems my work has been done for me. One pet peeve I must get out of the way though: Options keeps hiding her mouth with her fan when she speaks. It's like they just don't care about lip syncing so they're covering her dang mouth all the time.

Overall though, I enjoyed the episode more than the others. It stank of less cheese than the other episodes, so compared to the first two eps, I loved it.
