I honestly love shows like this that make you feel the emotions that the characters are experiencing. Anohana is another example.

I read the manga and I would say that the anime 100% lives up to it, and that folks is rare. Most other animes fall short compared to the manga.

I already know what's going to happen because I read the manga. Usually I drop the anime after reading the manga but for this show, I want to watch the last two episodes and hop on the train of emotions.

It is one of my favorite mangas/animes and for those who are hating on it because of where the show is heading:

If you don't like it, drop it. If you are still watching it, just admit that Shigatsu caught your attention and no matter how much you hate it you still want to see how everything plays out. The show is so "bad" that you keep watching it just to troll on the forums. I admire your perseverance and how you try to watch a show that makes you puke.... It only makes you look stupid. So thank you for that.

Well it looked like she was having a seizure and then passed out probably. The worst case scenario would be emergency surgery, an expected one but one that came ahead of time.

Honestly, I hope Tsubaki ends up single. She ticked me off with her selfish confession and telling Kousei that Kaori will never fall for him. Then she has the audacity to kick Kousei. WTF. She's the worst of the worst, low blow to Kousei. True Tsubaki has been with Kousei more, but Kaori has had a bigger impact in Kousei's life. Oh how I wish Karma struck Tsubaki before the show ends.

I love tsubaki, and i dont understand why so many people are saying they hate her. She is in love with her childhood friend who is in love with another girl, do you not realise how hard and painful that is for her? Plus, she doesnt know Kaori may die soon, like someone else said, kaori puts on a brave face and says she will be back soon!

This anime is just beyond words, i really hope it ends beautifully, if so it may even become my favourite romance anime of all time. STAY STRONG KAORI, PLS DONT DIE :'(

The episode was only good because of the last bit. At this point i'm just watching this for the sake of completion. Don't get me wrong, i was seriously hooked for the first 10 or so episodes... but then the performances stopped and the romantic subplots began. For god's sake, i cannot stand Tsubaki, she is literally the epitome of my most hated anime trope. I just... barely got through the first and especially middle part of the episode.

Nevertheless, the last part really got to me, i didn't expect the cat to die as well (how unlucky can Kousei be), so i'll choose to pretend the beginning and middle of the episode didn't happen.

Boring episode with the overused romance. I liked the romance at the begining between Arima and Kaori but now waching Arima is almost irritating when it is obvious that Watari is even cheering for Arima. It is simply unnecesary. Tsubaki hit and run romance even when it is overused too at least it is unfinished because we don't know if Kaori is going to survive. I felt it as a filler even when it isn't. These romance tropes are the worse part of the series by far.

It wasn't a good episode but when we had some decent episodes before i think that it's ok for a while. 2/5 or 3/5 .

In episode 19, Arima/Aiza/Emi go to some competition in which Aiza basically gives a break out performance and cheers Kousei on. What was this competition and what was its significance? Was it just some random competition? Also, why did it just cut out after Aiza's performance at the end of last episode, as in we didn't see the continuation or outcome of the competition on Emi's or Arima's performance. It just seemed a bit random. Was it just a small thing to show Aiza's growth and newfound acceptance/friendliness towards Arima?

Also, what happened to Kaori training herself physically and going through a surgery to give a final performance with Kousei? That whole subplot just seemed to vanish out of nowhere. She's back to being seemingly bedridden.

Lastly, when Kaori told Arima that "things are not looking good for her" and he started having flashbacks towards his mom being in the deathbed, and he started straight-up avoiding her, Watari told Arima that Kaori and Watari aren't actually interested in each other and that Arima should go for Kaori since he's the one she relies on, and as a result Arima manned up and went to visit her. However, in this episode, that seems to have been neglected, since Arima continued to avoid Kaori whenever he saw Watari there. What happened to this?

It almost feels like I missed an episode or something.

Seeing this chapter in animated form was just too much to handle. If I marathon this back to back to the end then I would definitely felt the same way as I did for Clannad After Story and Anohana. Great story telling and now I am ready for the final two episodes.

I'm so sad! I somehow had the feelin that Kao-chan would die at the end or almost the end of the anime ( didn't read the manga yet) but I never expect the cat to die!!! I feel so sad of Kousei.... He lost an important person and the cat at the same day right after another....

And I also think the nurse was kinda rude! She was like " what are you doing here, we are treating her right now. Go home for today." Well something close to that.... What does she expect them to be here? They are visiting them and they saw they own friend dying and she was not even trying to comfort them or asking them nicely to go home. Poor Kousei and Watari-kun

I understand where you're coming from, but you haven't seen doctors in a rush trying to save a patient's life. I've seen it first hand. Exactly how they rushed in the anime, is exactly how they rush in real life. They have to get the patient to breathe or they die/end up in vegetative state. Unfortunately when I witnessed that, the patient passed away but doctors become "rude" in the moment, because they're in the rush of saving someone.

Are we actually supposed to feel for Tsubaki? This episode cements her as an unbearable character. Everything is music's fault, everything is Kosei's fault, she claims he doesn't acknowledge her as member of the opposite sex and consider any feelings she may have, but isn't she almost positively doing the exact same thing to Watari?

The hospital scene definitely had its impact, but once it's all said and done I feel like overall impact is going to feel very shallow and forced. There's definitely a chance to put together a nice culmination of Kosei's development, but even then with the way the direction has been handled with his mom and his gradual realization that he has feelings for Kaori, I have a hard time seeing any performance blowing the audience away with Kosei baring his heart through the piano. Especially as the music has felt so second fiddle to the melodrama, only serving as a platform to substantiate the development that was had as a result of said blatantly emotionally manipulative melodrama.

What is your point even? You said it yourself, 100% of the people that are still watching it even though they don't see it as a masterpiece like you do simply have enough invested into the show to want to see how it plays out. How you jump from that to "if you think it's bad but are still watching it you just want to troll on the forums", I don't know. The whole "if you don't like it drop it" argument is so tired at this point, why can't people just accept that others are going to have differing opinions and realize that they have every right to share them on the forums?

What else is new, really? Almost everyone around Kousei is a selfish and terrible person to him.

Very cruel episode. Unnecessarily so, too. Especially everything with the cat and the parallel to Kaori dying. The creator of this story is clearly a sadist.

Pretty much same boat. Show was fine enough when it was about the music aspect, then it decided that it wanted to be more and more about cliche weepy melodrama and pseudo love polygons as time went on. It almost feels like a bit of a genre switch from "find yourself through your music" to "are you going to cry now? Are you? Are you?!"

Also I have to say aside from Arima and Emi I never really got particularly attached to any of the cast.

The end hit me right in the feels. I think its quite tragic that Kousei can only grow through pain and suffering, after losing his mother he might lose another person he loves. Its fitting that his favorite piano arrangement is Fritz Kreisler's Love's Sorrow. Hopefully it'll end like Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora but its doubtful because honestly we all see where this is going.

Ugh, Tsubaki irritates me so much, especially in this episode. >.> She comes off as immaturely insensitive and a bit egocentric. The immature part makes some sense due to her being a middle school student, but she really does push the limits for me with how concerned she was with how Kosei wasn't giving her that much attention.

The second portion of the episode really did pick up with Kosei admitting his feelings to those close to him and with the hectic incident at the hospital. That cat scene really drove it home for Kosei. D:

Well, in a sense there was no need for Emi or Kousei's performance (also the results had been announced in the end of that episode for those who don't remember), since they already had their resolutions on their performances, and last time was about Aiza.

Anyway, I wasn't expecting for Kousei to admit his feelings so openly.
