♡ HI, it's been a while. Our club has been on hiatus for over 2 years, mostly due to COVID and adjusting to life since then. I'm pleased to bring news about us opening a discord server and migrating everything we had from the club to the server. I hope to make it more interactable with this and build a small community again. In case this all seems unfamiliar, the main purpose of our small community was to gather and chat about Boys Love (the genre) and give each other recommendations, have lists of different types of BL and now we've expanded into Manhwa & Manhua. To join the server, feel free to click on the banner or below where it says "SERVER LINK". The link expires in 7 days, if you need a new one feel free to DM me! I hope to see you there! ♡

You're French, right? Or am I mistaken you for another person on my friends list?

Hello

I have resurrected after a year long hiatus and wondering if you still remember me from long ago.

Umm... so let me know kay?
Halicone Jul 3, 2017 3:57 PM
Oh my, congratulations then! I can imagine how busy those last few months must have been for you. I hope you two made some amazing memories abroad. :)

I'm honestly surprised I managed to finish SnK since I've not been rigorous at all with my watching habits as of lately. I would say that this second season meet my expectations although, of course, it left me wanting for more.
That's quite an ambitious number of shows you plan to go through. Kakegurui does seem to be the most hyped anime of the season so I might take a peek one day.

I only know the Devil Survivor spin-offs from the SMT franchise and while I liked the story, the games were really difficult after a certain point (it's also possible that I just suck >.<). I assume the Persona games are also like that?
I haven't touched Moon either after that. Ultimately they offered me the least long term enjoyment of any Pokemon game I played. I would probably give it a try again on an emulator though as it would remove a lot of frustrations I had with it.
Oh, apparently there are already sequels in the making (i.e. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon). I'll probably skip them though.
As for me, "The Secret World" managed to pull me back in since the developers rebooted the whole game under a slightly different moniker a few days ago. A bit sad about losing progress but starting everything from scratch has been surprisingly enjoyable.

Physical activity is good, and it's motivating to do it with someone else. It's something I've neglected lately and I even bought a gym pass and all that but I've rarely been there. :/
Halicone Jun 8, 2017 2:52 PM
Well, that's already two more than me. ;)
I'm only watching AoT right now as well as a few other shows I had previously put on-hold. I'm interested in a few more this season but I don't know if I'll end up watching them.
Summer has a few interesting titles for a change. Ballroom e Youkoso and Dive are the ones I'll look out for but Made in Abyss might be the dark horse of the season.
Mostly a lack of interest, I couldn't find any enjoyment and realized I was continuing watching just to update my list. That's when I saw that I needed to focus on other hobbies. I've been a lot more involved with my local theater, not just performing but also assisting, cleaning, taking care of the guess and all that stuff. I'm really enjoying myself.
What games have you been playing? Did you continue with Pokemon S/M?

Nothing big I could recall. The French elections were kinda a hot topic for a while since we have a lot of people from France working here but that's about it.
Halicone Jun 2, 2017 2:14 PM
Do you still watch anime regularly? My interest and motivation have been fluctuating a lot these last few months, although I feel energized to go through a few shows at the moment.

I'm also well thank you although right now I wish I were able to stop following the news. It has put me in a depressive mood lately..
Halicone May 25, 2017 10:11 AM
Hello Galaxia, how have you been?
It has been a while. Do you still come here regularly?

i definitely did watched and loved doukyuusei such that i bought the manga! im waiting to finish that one before embarking on its sequels!

shiki is my favourite anime series of all time but it's not one that i can easily rewatch because its so deep and intense just on a philosophical level. i love the purity of the relationship between the two main characters, but beyond that i love how it's not even about vampirism, but how as the series progressed, the humans became more monstrous and the vampires become more human. u see some vampires abusing that power, but u also see how some people who transformed into vampires, they are struck by a sense of despair that they have to hurt the ones they love, and that humanism ironically is missing in humans who are consumed by an animalistic impulse to survive. its never really about being very plot heavy but it delved into very heavy serious exploration about how and what it means to be human lol which i really enjoyed!

damn, it's been a while; x-mas, new year, I've been away for all this time.

have you seen the sales of YOI - if that's not enough for S2 soon, I don't know what is!
I tried to catch all the "viktoru" in the later episodes, after you told me about it and I feel like he really said it less frequently - but still did, as if it was his cute way of calling him.

I kinda had a lot on my PTW list but now that I look at them I don't feel like watching most of them >.>
still have to catch up on the things from last season, I'm not sure when I will find the time to catch up and start new shows with exams coming up soon (╥﹏╥)
but I have high hopes towards Kono subarashi, Shouwa and Yowamushi pedal's continuations. ao no exorcist, little witch academia (because trigger :D. still need to watch 2nd movie tho) and kobayashi-san (because I read the manga and I hope they won't screw anime up) too.
probaby will watch tales of zestiria too, even tho it will be boring af, but animations are so good.
the rest will have to wait few episodes and be recommended to me by others, I guess.
what about you?
Halicone Jan 9, 2017 3:36 PM
The high sales make me happy and it's not often that I'm proud of the anime fandom. :P
This reminds me how the Russian figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva got a pair of figurines as gift from one of her fans.
It's really heartwarming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkLfZNT4Ezw
Has any other sports anime ever gotten than much attention from the professionals who play the sport? Like Volleyball players watching Haikyuu for example? It's an interesting phenomenon and I hope other shows can replicate it in the future.
I also would like to show my support for YoI in any kind of form. Blu-rays are out of the question since I don't have any means to play them but maybe some kind of merchandise. I'll have to look. The disks are utterly expensive in Japan yes, but I think they are treated as some kind of collector item, hence why the fans don't think twice about buying them.
I haven't listened to the English dub since I don't bother with dubs in any form. (not just for anime, but couldn't for instance watch an American series in any other language than English). Ahah, I see.. at least you seem to have gotten a good laugh out of it. ^^

Same with me, I couldn't find the time to play it except for the last couple of weeks. I eventually beat it yesterday after putting over 40 hours in it. Not bad I have to say.
I haven't watched Steven Universe yet but I will eventually. The last batch of modern American cartoon I saw were excellent and very creative. I've already watched Adventure Time, a bit of Gravity Falls and not too log ago I completed the first season of Rick & Morty. For the latter I'm still not completely sure if I'm enjoying it but I'm warming up to it. Rick's mannerisms were incredibly off-putting at first.
The first season of Jessica Jones is sitting on my computer at the moment. I'll also get to it one day. Are you enjoying it?

Aww, your kitty is so cute! As for myself, while being a cat lover, I never owned one. Generally I don't like to confine them inside the house and where I live it's dangerous to let them out. I think I have this philosophy from when I was younger because my grandparents lived in a farm and every time I visited them you were swarmed by groups of cats. Some were stray and only came to get a bit of food, others belonged to them but they almost never stayed inside the house and I really liked this unlimited freedom they were granted. End tangent.
Those mugs are cute and I love that Snorlax bean-bag! That's actually a pretty clever idea for a gift.
Teas are especially great during the winter season. There's no better feeling than being wrapped in a blanket with a warm beverage in your hand. *-* For this season a spicy chai is a must. The flavor is so good! In other seasons, I also enjoy Earl Grey and Rooibos tea.

To be honest, at the moment I don't even know if I'm going to finish anything this season. I said that I would try a good amount of shows but I realized during the most recent episode of Rakugo that I was forcing myself to finish it. Not that the content was abysmal, but I feel saturated, if you know what I mean. Right now I manage to watch HunterxHunter but that's basically the only thing I'm able to. I'll probably do another break and come back when I feel more motivated. My interests shifted to music recently and I've been thinking if I should take DJ classes or not just to try something completely new for me. Sadly, it's hella expensive and if I ever lose motivation a big amount of money is going down the drain..

I wish you good luck! I glanced over your list and saw some very fine titles. :) Hope you'll enjoy them!
Don't underestimate that amount. It would be like watching 12 series each season and that's a huge number. I know for a few categories you can chose a film or a short series but still, I'll wager it's not going to be as easy as you think. :P
Halicone Jan 6, 2017 3:05 PM
Forgot about that part where you asked me what I was going to watch this season, sorry! You can reply in a single comment if you like.
So, most of the series that interest me are sequels also. Besides Rakugo, I'll give Little Witch Academia, Yami Shibai and maybe KonoSuba a try.
Super Lovers didn't captivate me enough so I won't watch the sequel. Are you going to watch that one?
As far as non-sequels go, I'll only watch "Kuzu no Honkai", since I read a bit of the manga and "ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka" because it's from the same person who wrote House of Five Leaves, Ristorante Paradiso and some other manga I really enjoyed.

How about you, which series are you eyeing, in particular?
Halicone Jan 5, 2017 1:16 PM
Happy New Year!

Saiki was something that took me by surprise. I never thought I would like it as much as I did, but here we are. ^^ The support cast really shined and although they were all pretty much one note, I couldn't help but grow attached to them. Am I wrong for wanting Teruhashi and Saiki to be together? Usually I don't like those "it's all about me" type of characters but I found her efforts to charm Saiki to be oddly endearing. Apparently it's getting a sequel and I couldn't be happier about it.

There were too many things to conclude in a single episode so I adjusted my expectations for the finale. Not that I was complete satisfied with the halfhearted attempt to create an open ending for a potential sequel but overall it didn't hamper my enjoyment for the anime. Apparently it sold super well so I hope with the newfound acclaim we get to see Yamamoto directing more shows.

Same here..., except that I didn't do anything worth noting during my week off. The lack of evening activities hurt my motivation to go out of the house. It was mostly trying to finish Pokemon Moon, listening to music (I like browsing year end lists), reading a few manga and trying to get my anime watching list down to single digits. I had mixed success with the latter. Well, I did travel with my boyfriend for New Year's Eve but that's about it.

I feel neutral towards Star Wars. I watched the original trilogy and the prequel films but that's about it. I wouldn't consider them anywhere among the top of my favorite films. I have yet to watch Rouge One but I'll probably watch it someday.

Did you get a lot of stuff for Christmas? Yeah, I eventually settled for a 24 inch monitor which was already scratching the upper limit of what I was willing to spend. It's pretty crazy how exponentially more expensive they get if you try to look for something bigger. I also got a new tea set. The cups have a funny gimmick since they change color when you pour hot water in them like in this image. I hope I can motivate myself to start drinking more tea instead of coffee since I drink such an unhealthy amount each day >.<

Sadly I haven't. Like I mentioned before I was more busy with Pokemon and I still haven't beaten the main story. It's really long and you get distracted by so many things that halts your progress. I really like the games a lot but I feel it's again another case of going two steps forward and a step backwards. Getting the new Pokemon can sometimes be incredibly frustrating if you decided on your team before playing it. You can't imagine how long I spend trying to find a female Salandit, urgh. It doesn't surprise me why people try to hack the games. It has a lot of inexplicably frustrating elements.
