| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Either that guy probably watches too much Terra Formars or he's just a coward for going crazy over seeing a "cockroach." The girl was quite athletic though. Admittedly, she had some tough luck on her side too. But damn, what a bizarre dream that was! I wonder if the guy at the end killed a tiny person (their son? I hope not) assuming it to be a cockroach. :O |

| This actually made me shiver throughout. I'm that scared of cockroaches. That guy was quite brave for going after it so persistently. The swatting at the end honestly made me jump out of my chair because how focused I was in watching this short. |

Moreover Kafka wrote The Metamorphosis in which a man awakens one day to find that he has transformed into a horrible insect. And since the animators have much more freedom in this medium, why not draw the human form in its entirety? |

I'd imagine having clothing would have made it more difficult, redrawing the creases/wrinkles in the clothing and having it twist and trail around the character as they're diving everywhere. Must be pretty refreshing just to animate a human not restrained or disguised by anything too, more fun. |

Story: A dream about turning into a cockroach and being hunted by her boyfriend. No matter how small a life may seem, it's still valuable. Characters: The boyfriend seems to be obsessed with killing bugs. I thought the girlfriend learned after her dream that she shouldn't just kill bugs here and there for no reason. But she smiles in the end so I guess she learned nothing :/ Art & Animation: Art was not to my liking, not much else to say about it. Sound: Music was nice, the voices were well done too. Enjoyment: Except the ending I enjoyed it very much, though the art was very odd. There's a lesson to be learned here, though nobody did actually learn it... |

| I was reminded of Kafka as well when she was shown to be seen as cockroach by the man, and the animation near the end when all things went crazy reminded me of Ping Pong. Oh look, he did the OP animation for Ping Pong. I don't pay attention too much to animators, but recently I have been, and while I'm not familiar with really any of his stuff, he's definitely got a cool style. This was a weird, fun, and kind of sad episode. |
| Another great short, I really liked this one. Franz Kafka/The Metamorphosis, anyone? :) And animation was also very good. |

| Damn ... that was really good. Cant believe the lengths this guy went through to kill 1! cockroach ... Now the girl knows what it's like to get chased around, just trying to survive (in the eyes of a bug) Shame the guy just had to smash it as the girl made peace with bugs (I presume she did) Really cool animation style aswell, I really enjoyed it. |
